A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(3) Make sure that the potable water system is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to do the servicing of the water system.
(5) Make sure that the passenger seat adjacent to the lavatory is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(6) Make sure that the applicable ceiling panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
(7) Make sure that the cove light panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
(8) Make sure that the upper sidewall panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001).
(9) Make sure that the lower sidewall panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).

WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED. A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) If necessary, examine the Non-Textile Floor covering (NTF).
(a) If the condition of the NTF is not satisfactory, repair it (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-350-003).
(b) If you cannot repair the NTF, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-42-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-42-400-001).
Subtask 25-43-44-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If necessary, examine the Non-Textile Floor covering (NTF).
(a) If the condition of the NTF is not satisfactory, repair it (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-350-003).
(b) If you cannot repair the NTF, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-42-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-42-400-001).

D. Preparation for Installation
(1) If necessary, remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
(2) Remove sealant from the floor panel and the attached components with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(a) If the sealant is not easy to remove, use the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Clean the seat tracks in the area of the lavatory with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Make sure that the placards of the retained/new components are in the correct position and in good condition.
(7) If necessary, install new placards:
(8) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) to the seat tracks below the lavatory installation at a distance of 750 mm (30.0 in.) at each side of the lavatory installation (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-001).
4. Procedure(1) If necessary, remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
(2) Remove sealant from the floor panel and the attached components with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(a) If the sealant is not easy to remove, use the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Clean the seat tracks in the area of the lavatory with the Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Make sure that the placards of the retained/new components are in the correct position and in good condition.
(7) If necessary, install new placards:
(8) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) to the seat tracks below the lavatory installation at a distance of 750 mm (30.0 in.) at each side of the lavatory installation (Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-001).
Subtask 25-43-44-420-054-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Assembly of the Lavatory
(1) Connect the lavatory assemblies (1) and (3) as follows:
(a) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
(b) If removed, install the rubber strips (18), (20) and (21) to the floor panel (19).
(c) If removed, install the screws (16) on the floor angle brackets (17).
(d) Put the lavatory assemblies (1) and (3) in position and install the washers (10) and (11) and the screws (9) and (12).
(e) Install the screw (15) in the door side frame.
(f) Install the washers (13) and the screws (14) and (4) in the lavatory assembly (3).
(g) Put the lavatory assemblies (1) and (3) in position on the floor pan assembly (2).
(h) Put the washers (5) in position and install the screws (6).
(i) Put the washers (7) in position and install the screws (8).
(2) Connect the electrical connectors (7), (8), (9) and (10) as follows:
(a) Open the sanitary-cabinet access door (3).
(b) Put the cable assemblies (4) and (2) in position on the mounts (5) and install new CABLE TIES (6).
(c) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(d) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(e) Connect the cable assembly (2) to the toilet flush switch (1).
(f) Put the bracket (13) in position and install the washers (12) and the bolts (11).
(g) Connect the electrical connectors (9), (8), (7) and (10).
(h) Close the sanitary-cabinet access door (3).
(3) Install the pelmet (1) and the door sill (5) as follows:
(a) Install the door sill (5) with the screws (6) on the floor pan assembly (4).
(b) Tighten the screws (6).
(c) Put the pelmet (1) in position and install the washers (2) and the screws (3).
Subtask 25-43-44-420-055-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Connect the lavatory assemblies (1) and (3) as follows:
(a) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
(b) If removed, install the rubber strips (18), (20) and (21) to the floor panel (19).
(c) If removed, install the screws (16) on the floor angle brackets (17).
(d) Put the lavatory assemblies (1) and (3) in position and install the washers (10) and (11) and the screws (9) and (12).
(e) Install the screw (15) in the door side frame.
(f) Install the washers (13) and the screws (14) and (4) in the lavatory assembly (3).
(g) Put the lavatory assemblies (1) and (3) in position on the floor pan assembly (2).
(h) Put the washers (5) in position and install the screws (6).
(i) Put the washers (7) in position and install the screws (8).
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(j) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around the joints of the floor panel (2) from the inside of the lavatory assembly. (2) Connect the electrical connectors (7), (8), (9) and (10) as follows:
(a) Open the sanitary-cabinet access door (3).
(b) Put the cable assemblies (4) and (2) in position on the mounts (5) and install new CABLE TIES (6).
(c) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(d) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(e) Connect the cable assembly (2) to the toilet flush switch (1).
(f) Put the bracket (13) in position and install the washers (12) and the bolts (11).
(g) Connect the electrical connectors (9), (8), (7) and (10).
(h) Close the sanitary-cabinet access door (3).
(3) Install the pelmet (1) and the door sill (5) as follows:
(a) Install the door sill (5) with the screws (6) on the floor pan assembly (4).
(b) Tighten the screws (6).
(c) Put the pelmet (1) in position and install the washers (2) and the screws (3).
B. Installation of the Lower Attachments
(2) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-General Purpose Medium Temp. - (Material No.03FBB1) to the fittings (2), washers (3), pins (1), screws (4), bolts (9) and bushes (6) and (7).
(3) Apply Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) to the seat tracks in the area of the lavatory.
(4) Put the fittings (2) in position on the seat tracks and install the washers (3) and the screws (4).
(5) Tighten the screws (4).
(6) Carefully lift the lavatory assembly in position on the pins (1) and the fittings (2).
(7) Tighten the pins (1).
(8) Install the bushes (6) and (7), washers (8) and bolts (9).
(9) Tighten the bolts (9).
(10) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ACB1) to the heads of the bolts (9).
(11) Install the covers (5).
Subtask 25-43-44-420-058-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.(2) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-General Purpose Medium Temp. - (Material No.03FBB1) to the fittings (2), washers (3), pins (1), screws (4), bolts (9) and bushes (6) and (7).
(3) Apply Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) to the seat tracks in the area of the lavatory.
(4) Put the fittings (2) in position on the seat tracks and install the washers (3) and the screws (4).
(5) Tighten the screws (4).
(6) Carefully lift the lavatory assembly in position on the pins (1) and the fittings (2).
(7) Tighten the pins (1).
(8) Install the bushes (6) and (7), washers (8) and bolts (9).
(9) Tighten the bolts (9).
(10) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ACB1) to the heads of the bolts (9).
(11) Install the covers (5).
C. Installation of the Upper Attachments
(1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
(2) Install the washers (2) and the bolts (1) and (3).
(3) Tighten the bolts (1) and (3).
Subtask 25-43-44-420-059-H ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
(2) Install the washers (2) and the bolts (1) and (3).
(3) Tighten the bolts (1) and (3).
D. Installation of the Water Connections
(2) Connect the potable water connections as follows:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the potable water tube (2) and the potable water hose (7) in position and connect the nuts (1) to the fittings (6).
(c) Make sure that the potable water hose (7) is not twisted.
(d) TORQUE the nuts (1) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
.
(e) Put the bonding straps (3) in position and install the washer (4) and the nut (5). Do the bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(f) Tighten the nut (5).
(3) Connect the waste-water drain connection as follows:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the clamps (10) in position on the drain tube (9) and install the nuts (14), spacers (11), washers (12) and screws (13).
(c) Tighten the screws (13).
(d) Put the drain tube (9) in position and install the clamp (8).

Subtask 25-43-44-420-060-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION. (CONTAMINATION FROM TOILET WASTE IS DANGEROUS TO HEALTH).
(1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.(2) Connect the potable water connections as follows:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the potable water tube (2) and the potable water hose (7) in position and connect the nuts (1) to the fittings (6).
(c) Make sure that the potable water hose (7) is not twisted.
(d) TORQUE the nuts (1) to between 5.9 and 5.4 m.daN (43.51 and 39.82 lbf.ft )
. (e) Put the bonding straps (3) in position and install the washer (4) and the nut (5). Do the bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(f) Tighten the nut (5).
(3) Connect the waste-water drain connection as follows:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the clamps (10) in position on the drain tube (9) and install the nuts (14), spacers (11), washers (12) and screws (13).
(c) Tighten the screws (13).
(d) Put the drain tube (9) in position and install the clamp (8).
(e) Tighten the clamp (8).
E. Installation of the Air Connections
(1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Connect the electrical connection:
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (13).
(4) Connect the ventilation hose:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the clamp (9) and the ventilation hose (7) in position on the ventilation tube (10).
(c) Tighten the clamp (9).
(d) Put the clamp (6) in position on the ventilation hose (7) and install the spacer (8), the washer (4) and the screw (5).
(e) Put the clamp (11) and the ventilation hose (12) in position on the ventilation tube (10).
(f) Tighten the clamp (11).
(5) Connect the air extraction hose:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the air extraction hose (1) and the clamp (2) in position on the tube assembly (3).
(c) Tighten the clamp (2).

(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (13).
(4) Connect the ventilation hose:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the clamp (9) and the ventilation hose (7) in position on the ventilation tube (10).
(c) Tighten the clamp (9).
(d) Put the clamp (6) in position on the ventilation hose (7) and install the spacer (8), the washer (4) and the screw (5).
(e) Put the clamp (11) and the ventilation hose (12) in position on the ventilation tube (10).
(f) Tighten the clamp (11).
(5) Connect the air extraction hose:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the air extraction hose (1) and the clamp (2) in position on the tube assembly (3).
(c) Tighten the clamp (2).
E. Installation of the Air Connections
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Connect the electrical connection:
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (13).
(3) Connect the ventilation hoses:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the clamps (7) in position on the ventilation hose (6) and install the spacers (8), the washers (5) and the screws (4).
(c) Put the clamps (9) and (11) and the ventilation hoses (10) and (6) in position on the ventilation tube (12).
(d) Tighten the clamps (9) and (11).
(4) Connect the extraction hose:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the air extraction hose (1) and the clamp (2) in position on the tube assembly (3).
(c) Tighten the clamp (2).

(b) Put the clamps (7) in position on the ventilation hose (6) and install the spacers (8), the washers (5) and the screws (4).
(c) Put the clamps (9) and (11) and the ventilation hoses (10) and (6) in position on the ventilation tube (12).
(d) Tighten the clamps (9) and (11).
(4) Connect the extraction hose:
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the air extraction hose (1) and the clamp (2) in position on the tube assembly (3).
(c) Tighten the clamp (2).
F. Installation of the Lavatory Equipment
(1) In the lavatory:
(a) Install the toilet assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-41-400-001).
(b) Do not install the toilet shroud at this time.
(2) Install emergency oxygen container [31WR1] (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-400-001).
(3) Install the lavatory door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-19-400-001).
Subtask 25-43-44-865-073-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) In the lavatory:
(a) Install the toilet assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-41-400-001).
(b) Do not install the toilet shroud at this time.
(2) Install emergency oxygen container [31WR1] (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-400-001).
(3) Install the lavatory door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-19-400-001).

H. Do an Operational Test of the Lavatory Systems
(1) Energize the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(2) Do an operational test of these water/waste systems:
(a) Do a functional test of an air extraction point (Ref. AMM TASK 21-23-00-720-002).
(4) Do the operational test of the individual air outlet system (Ref. AMM TASK 21-21-00-710-002).
(a) Examine the ventilation and air extraction hoses for leaks.
5. Close-up(1) Energize the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(2) Do an operational test of these water/waste systems:
- The potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-12-00-710-002)
- The waste/water drain system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-32-00-710-002)
- The toilet system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-710-009).
(a) Do a functional test of an air extraction point (Ref. AMM TASK 21-23-00-720-002).
(4) Do the operational test of the individual air outlet system (Ref. AMM TASK 21-21-00-710-002).
