(b) Close the door of the emergency oxygen container (1):
2 Make sure that the latch mechanism is engaged correctly and fully locked into the door assembly.
4 Make sure that there is no space between the box assembly and the door assembly.
Subtask 35-21-41-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If there is a yellow warning flag on the external side of the emergency oxygen container (1):
- Remove the safety ring/pin before you install the emergency oxygen container (1) on the aircraft.
(a) Put the emergency oxygen container (1) on a workbench with the door on top.
(b) Remove the securing tape of the warning flag.
NOTE: The door of the emergency oxygen container can be spring-loaded.
(c) Open the door of the emergency oxygen container (1) with the 995000-00 TOOL-MANUAL RELEASE. NOTE: You can use the alternate tool with part number 995000.
(3) For the emergency oxygen container (1) without a yellow warning flag: (a) Put the emergency oxygen container (1) on a workbench with the door on top.
NOTE: The door of the emergency oxygen container can be spring-loaded.
(b) Open the door of the emergency oxygen container (1) with the 995000-00 TOOL-MANUAL RELEASE. NOTE: You can use the alternate tool with part number 995000.
(c) Make sure that the safety ring/pin is installed on the generator. (4) For all the emergency oxygen containers (1):
(a) Remove the safety ring/pin from the emergency oxygen container (1):
1 Put the generator (2) in position until you have access to the pull pin (3) and the safety ring/pin (4).
2 Remove the safety ring/pin (4).
WARNING:
AFTER YOU INSTALL THE GENERATORS IN THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINERS, REMOVE THE SAFETY RINGS OR SAFETY PINS FROM THE GENERATORS. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THEM, THE GENERATORS WILL NOT OPERATE.
3 Turn the generator (2) until the eye end of the pull pin (3) points to the door of the emergency oxygen container (1). 4 Make sure that the routing of the lanyards (5) is correct.
5 Make sure that the lanyards (5) and the masks are not damaged.
(b) Close the door of the emergency oxygen container (1):
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE TO CLOSE THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER. IF YOU USE TOO MUCH FORCE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LATCH MECHANISM. IF THE LATCH MECHANISM DOES NOT ENGAGE EASILY, MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT IN THE EMERGENCY OXYGEN CONTAINER IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED.
1 Push the door of the emergency oxygen container (1) that is on the two sides of the test button with your hand to the closed position.2 Make sure that the latch mechanism is engaged correctly and fully locked into the door assembly.
NOTE: You cannot close the door if the latch mechanism is not aligned with the door assembly.
3 Make sure that you hear a click when the door is fully closed.4 Make sure that there is no space between the box assembly and the door assembly.
B. Install the emergency oxygen containers in the passenger service channels and the service channel of the aft utility area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the emergency oxygen container (3) in position.
(4) Engage one side of the emergency oxygen container (3) on the rail (2).
(5) Connection of the electrical connectors:
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connectors (4) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(6) Lift and engage the emergency oxygen container (3) on the rail (2).
(7) Install the hose sections (1) with the 98A25207503000 PULLEY ASSEMBLY - SEALING CORD tool.
Subtask 35-21-41-420-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: During installation, make sure that the hinge of the oxygen container is adjacent to the window side of the fuselage. For the emergency oxygen container in the AFT utility area make sure that the hinge is installed opposite to the attendant seat.
NOTE: The installation procedure is the same for all the emergency oxygen containers in the service channels.
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the emergency oxygen container (3) in position.
(4) Engage one side of the emergency oxygen container (3) on the rail (2).
(5) Connection of the electrical connectors:
CAUTION:
REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES.
INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connectors (4) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(6) Lift and engage the emergency oxygen container (3) on the rail (2).
(7) Install the hose sections (1) with the 98A25207503000 PULLEY ASSEMBLY - SEALING CORD tool.
NOTE: Use the roller along the hose sections in both directions. Make sure that the joints of the hose sections do not align with the joints between the panels.
(8) Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 2.0 +0.0 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0000 in. or -0.0197 in.) at each side of the emergency oxygen container door. B. Installation of the Emergency Oxygen Containers in the Passenger Service Channels
(2) During installation, make sure that the hinge of the emergency oxygen container is adjacent to the outboard side of the fuselage.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) If removed, install the clamping block (8):
(b) Adjust the emergency oxygen container (3) to its installation position.
(c) Mark installation position of the clamping block (8) on the rails (2).
(d) Remove the emergency oxygen container (3).
(e) Put the clamping block (8) in the marked position.
(f) Tighten the screw (9).
(6) Engage the outboard side of the emergency oxygen container (3) with the rails (2).
(7) Connect the electrical connector(s):
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Lift and engage the emergency oxygen container (3) with the rails (2).

(a) Temporarily engage the emergency oxygen container (3) into the rails (2). (b) Adjust the emergency oxygen container (3) to its installation position.
(c) Mark installation position of the clamping block (8) on the rails (2).
(d) Remove the emergency oxygen container (3).
(e) Put the clamping block (8) in the marked position.
(f) Tighten the screw (9).
(6) Engage the outboard side of the emergency oxygen container (3) with the rails (2).
(7) Connect the electrical connector(s):
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES.
INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(c) Connect the electrical connectors (4) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.(8) Lift and engage the emergency oxygen container (3) with the rails (2).
(9) Install the hose sections (1) with the 98A25207503000 PULLEY ASSEMBLY - SEALING CORD tool.
NOTE: We recommend you to use the roller along the hose sections in two directions. It is important that the joints of the hose sections do not align with the joints between the panels.
(10) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.(11) Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 2.0 +0.0 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0000 in. or -0.0197 in.) at each side of the emergency oxygen container-door.
C. Installation of the Emergency Oxygen Container(s) in the Passenger/Crew Door Frame(s)
(2) During installation, make sure that the hinge of the emergency oxygen container is adjacent to the inboard from the passenger/crew door frames.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Engage the emergency oxygen container (13) with the support assembly (14).
(6) Align the supports (12) in position with the emergency oxygen container (13) and install the washers (16) and the screws (17).
(7) Tighten the screws (18).
(8) Connect the electrical connector(s):
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connectors (15) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(9) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

(1) Make sure that the emergency oxygen container to be installed has the correct P/N. (2) During installation, make sure that the hinge of the emergency oxygen container is adjacent to the inboard from the passenger/crew door frames.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Engage the emergency oxygen container (13) with the support assembly (14).
(6) Align the supports (12) in position with the emergency oxygen container (13) and install the washers (16) and the screws (17).
(7) Tighten the screws (18).
(8) Connect the electrical connector(s):

(9) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(10) Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 2.0 +0.0 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0000 in. or -0.0197 in.) on each side of the emergency oxygen container-door.
C. Installation of the Emergency Oxygen Container(s) in the Passenger/Crew Door Frame(s)
(2) During installation, make sure that the hinge of the oxygen container is adjacent to the top side of the fuselage.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Put the oxygen container (6) in position.

(b) Install the emergency-oxygen-container cover color-panel (21).
(c) Make sure that the dowels (22) are in the correct position.
(d) Install the screws (19) on the emergency-oxygen-container cover color-panel (21).
(e) Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 2.0 +0.0 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0000 in. or -0.0197 in.) at each side of the emergency oxygen container-door.
(10) For all the smart lavatories DS, ES, FS, GS, HS, DC, EC and LC:
(a) Close the panel (40) and install the washers (39) and the screws (38).
(b) Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 2.0 +0.0 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0000 in. or -0.0197 in.) at each side of the emergency oxygen container-door.
(11) For other lavatories, if applicable:
(a) Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 2.0 +0.0 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0000 in. or -0.0197 in.) at each side of the emergency oxygen container-door.
(b) Remove the STEPLADDER 1.0 M (3.3 FT).
(12) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
E. Installation of the Emergency Oxygen Containers in the Service Channel of the Aft Utility Area
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) During installation, make sure that the hinge of emergency oxygen container 30WR is installed on the left side of the aircraft.
(6) During installation, make sure that the hinge of emergency oxygen container 33WR is installed on the right side of the aircraft.
(7) Put the emergency oxygen container (35) in position on the panel (36) and install the washers (34) and (31) and the screws (32).
(8) Engage one side of the panel (36) in the rail (30).
(9) Connect the electrical connectors as follows:
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(10) Lift and engage the panel (36) in the rail (30).
(11) Use the 98A25207503000 PULLEY ASSEMBLY - SEALING CORD and install the hose sections (33).
(13) Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 2.0 +0.0 mm or -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0000 in. or -0.0197 in.) on each side of the emergency oxygen-container door.
