B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the overhead panel, on the SIGNS section of panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL is set to OFF (the OFF legend is on).
(2) On Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the LIGHT EMER pushbutton switch is released (the red integral light of the LIGHT EMER pushbutton switch is off).
(3) On panels 25VU and 120RH, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL and the LIGHT EMER pushbutton switch.

C. Get Access
(1) Open the forward passenger/crew door at zone 831 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(2) Remove emergency exit sign 41WL (Ref. AMM TASK 33-51-16-000-001).
(3) Remove cabin emergency light 21WL (Ref. AMM TASK 33-51-11-000-001).
(4) Remove cabin wall-mounted emergency-exit-marker 90WL1 (Ref. AMM TASK 33-51-13-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 25-23-45-020-055-D

A. Removal of Door Frame Linings 221AW, 221BW, 221CW, 221EW, 221FW, 221RW, 221SW, 221VW, 231CW, 231BW and 231AW

Door Frame Linings at the Forward (FWD) Passenger/Crew Door, left Side

(1) If necessary, remove the adjacent sidewall panel(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001).
(2) If you installed lining 231CW (10), remove it:
(a) Remove the seal assembly.
(b) Disengage the ceiling panel.
(c) Remove lining 231CW (10).
(3) If you installed lining 231BW (9), remove it:
(a) Remove the screws (12) and the washers (13).
(b) Pull lining 231BW (9) up and release the attachment brackets from the yo-yo rolls.
(c) Remove lining 231BW (9).
(4) If you installed lining 231AW (8), remove it:
(a) Remove the screws (32) and the washers (31).
(b) Pull lining 231AW (8) down and release the attachment brackets from the yo-yo rolls.
(c) Remove lining 231AW (8).
(5) Remove linings 221SW (11) and 221EW (1):

CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(a) Disconnect the electrical connector (30).
(b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Loosen the screw of the clamp (17) and disconnect the hose (16).
(d) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(e) Remove the caps (14), the screws (12), (15) and (19), and the washers (13) and (18).
(f) Hold lining 221SW (11) in position.
(g) Remove the screws (35) and the washers (36).
(h) Lift lining 221SW (11).
(i) If necessary, remove emergency oxygen container 28WR (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).
(j) Remove lining 221SW (11).
(k) Pull lining 221EW (1) up and release the attachment brackets from the yo-yo rolls.
(l) Remove lining 221EW (1).
(m) Remove the handgrip (21):

CAUTION: DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE WHEN YOU REMOVE THE COVER AS THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RETAINER.

1 Put the 995000 TOOL-MANUAL RELEASE between the handgrip cover (25) and the handgrip (21).
2 Carefully push the lugs (24) of the handgrip cover (25) with your finger in the direction of the arrows.
3 Remove the handgrip cover (25).
4 Remove the screws (23) and (26), plate (22), handgrip (21) and spacer (20) (if installed).
(6) Remove lining 221BW (3):
(a) Remove the screws (12), (35) and (37), and the washers (13), (36) and (38).
(b) Remove lining 221BW (3).
(7) Remove lining 221AW (4):
(a) Remove the screws (35) and the washers (36).
(b) Pull lining 221AW (4) down and release the attachment brackets from the yo-yo rolls.
(c) Remove lining 221AW (4).
(8) Remove lining 221FW (6):
(a) Remove the screws (28), the washers (27) and the latch hook (29).
(b) Remove the screws (34) and the washers (33).
(c) Remove lining 221FW (6).
(9) Remove lining 221VW (2):
(a) Remove the screws (34) and the washers (33).
(b) Remove lining 221VW (2).
(10) Remove lining 221CW (5):
(a) Remove the screws (34) and the washers (33).
(b) Remove lining 221CW (5).
(11) Remove lining 221RW (7):
(a) Remove the handgrip (21):

CAUTION: DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE WHEN YOU REMOVE THE COVER AS THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RETAINER.
