Subtask 24-41-00-860-052-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
NOTE: In the avionics compartment, if the temperature is below -15 deg.C (5.00 deg.F), do the cold-weather maintenance procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 12-31-31-660-001).
NOTE: The procedure is the same for the engines 1 and 2.
   (1) Ground (Earth) the aircraft if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-002):
  • For grounding (earthing) you must obey the local area regulations.
   (2) Do not energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power.
   (3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from APU (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 24-41-00-861-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuit from the engine 1(2)
   (1) Start the engine 1(2) with the automatic procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-003):
  • on the ELEC panel 35VU, the FAULT legend of the GEN 1(2) pushbutton switch goes off.
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key (on the lower ECAM DU, the ELEC page comes into view).
   (4) On the ELEC page, make sure that:
  • the GEN 1(2) indication comes into view white,
  • the parameters related to GEN 1(2) come into view green,
  • the line between GEN 1(2) and AC 1(2) comes into view green,
  • the GEN 2(1) indication and the related parameters come into view green,
  • the APU GEN indication and the related parameters come into view green,
  • the line between APU GEN and AC2(1) comes into view green,
  • the line between APU GEN and AC1(2) goes out of view.
   (5) On the ELEC panel 35VU, release the APU GEN pushbutton switch:
  • the OFF legend of the APU GEN pushbutton switch comes on.
   (6) On the ELEC page, make sure that:
  • the APU GEN indication comes into view amber and the OFF indication white,
  • the line between GEN1(2) and AC2(1) comes into view green,
  • the line between APU GEN and AC2(1) goes out of view.
   (7) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
