WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.

A. Operational Test
   (1) Do the test of the lavatory lighting (not for smart lavatory):

1.On Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:
On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the POWER LAV membrane switch.
  • The POWER LAV indication light comes on.
2.In the lavatory (not in the lavatory for disabled persons):
In the lavatory:
  • Close the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent tube is on with 50% intensity.
  • The mirror light is off.
  • Lock the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent tube comes on with 100% intensity.
  • The mirror light comes on.
  • Unlock the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent tube decreases to 50% intensity.
  • The mirror light goes off.
3.In the lavatory for disabled persons:
In the lavatory:
  • Close the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent tube is on with 100% intensity.
  • The mirror light is off.
  • Lock the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent tube comes on with 100% intensity.
  • The mirror light comes on.
  • Unlock the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent tube is on with 100% intensity.
  • The mirror light goes off.
4.On FAP 120RH:
On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the POWER LAV membrane switch.
  • The POWER LAV indication light goes off.

In the lavatory (not in the lavatory for disabled persons):
  • The fluorescent tube goes off.

In the lavatory for disabled persons:
  • The fluorescent tube goes off.

A. Operational Test
   (1) Do the test of the standard lavatory lighting:
NOTE: This test is not applicable for smart lavatories and Space-Flex lavatories, if installed.
NOTE: A placard on the lavatory door identifies the lavatory for disabled persons. If there is no placard, a standard lavatory is installed.

1.On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:
On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF membrane switch on the hardkey panel.
  • The integral light in the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF membrane switch comes on in green.

In the lavatory (not in the lavatory for disabled persons, if installed):
  • The fluorescent light comes on with low intensity (dim mode).
  • The mirror light is off.
NOTE: The test refers to the outer ring of LEDs for mirror light, the inner ring of LEDs (Auxiliary Light) stays always on.

In the lavatory for disabled persons (if installed):
  • The fluorescent light comes on with full intensity (bright mode).
  • The mirror light is off.
2.In the lavatory (not in the lavatory for disabled persons, if installed):
In the lavatory:
  • Close the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent light stays on with low intensity (dim mode).
  • The mirror light stays off.
  • Lock the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent light increases to full intensity (bright mode).
  • The mirror light comes on.
  • Unlock the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent light decreases to low intensity (dim mode).
  • The mirror light goes off.
3.In the lavatory for disabled persons (if installed):
In the lavatory for disabled persons:
  • Close the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent light stays on with full intensity (bright mode).
  • The mirror light stays off.
  • Lock the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent light stays on with full intensity (bright mode).
  • The mirror light comes on.
  • Unlock the lavatory door.
  • The fluorescent light stays on with full intensity (bright mode).
  • The mirror light goes off.
4.On FAP 120RH:
On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the LAV MAINT membrane switch on the hardkey panel.
  • The integral light in the LAV MAINT membrane switch comes on in green.

In the lavatory (not in the lavatory for disabled persons, if installed):
  • The fluorescent light increases to full intensity (bright mode).
  • The mirror light stays off.

In the lavatory for disabled persons (if installed):
  • The fluorescent light stays on with full intensity (bright mode).
  • The mirror light stays off.
5.On FAP 120RH:
On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the LAV MAINT membrane switch on the hardkey panel.
  • The integral light in the LAV MAINT membrane switch comes on in amber.

In the lavatory (not in the lavatory for disabled persons, if installed):
  • The fluorescent light decreases to low intensity (dim mode).
  • The mirror light stays off.

In the lavatory for disabled persons (if installed):
  • The fluorescent light stays on with full intensity (bright mode).
  • The mirror light stays off.
6.On FAP 120RH:
On FAP 120RH:
  • Push the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF membrane switch on the hardkey panel.
  • The integral light in the LIGHTS MAIN ON/OFF membrane switch comes on in amber.

In each lavatory:
  • The fluorescent light goes off.
  • The mirror light stays off.

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
