B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that:
  • In the cockpit, on the overhead panel 25VU (SIGNS), the EMER EXIT LT switch is set to the OFF position.
  • On the FAP 120RH, the LIGHT EMER pushbutton switch is set to the OFF position.
   (2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the EMER EXIT LT switch.

4. Procedure
Subtask 25-21-41-010-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that:
  • The folding tables are in the folded position
  • The seat backrests are in the vertical position
  • If folding legrests are installed, they are in the extended position.
   (2) If there is an In-Seat Power-Supply System (ISPS) installed, disconnect the electrical connectors:
     (a) Release the fasteners (7) and open or remove the cover (8).
     (b) Disconnection of the electrical connectors:
       1 Disconnect the electrical connectors (13) and (14).
       2 Cut and discard the cable ties and remove the electrical cables from the seat structure.
       3 Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.
   (3) If there is a Passenger Entertainment System installed, disconnect the electrical connectors:
     (a) Release the fasteners (7) and open or remove the cover (8).
     (b) Disconnection of the electrical connectors:
       1 Release the spring latches (10) and disconnect the electrical connectors (11), (12).
       2 Cut and discard the cable ties and remove the electrical cables from the seat structure.
       3 Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.
   (4) If there is an Emergency Escape-Path Marking-System (EEMPS) installed, disconnect the electrical connectors:
     (a) Remove the applicable seat-track covers (5) from the seat tracks.
     (b) Push the quick-release studs (3) and remove the protection cap (4).
     (c) If necessary, remove the related carpet (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
     (d) Disconnection of the electrical connectors:
       1 Disconnect the electrical connectors (1).
       2 Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.
       3 Remove the electrical cables (2) and attach it to the seat structure with Adhesive Film Tape-Masking - - (Material No.05RDA1) .
Subtask 25-21-41-010-055-H ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that:
  • The folding tables are in the folded position.
  • The seat backrests are in the vertical position.
   (2) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (1).
   (3) Disconnection of the Electrical Connectors:
     (a) Release the spring latches (4).
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connectors (3).
     (c) Put a CAP - BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector.

A. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that:

     (c) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.

   (2) Disconnection of the Emergency Escape-Path Marking-System (EEMPS), if installed:
     (a) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (1).
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and release the cable (4).
     (c) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.

A. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that:
  • The folding tables are in the folded position
  • The seat backrests are in the vertical position.
   (2) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (3) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the covers (1).
     (a) Cut and discard the cable ties (6), if necessary.
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connectors (5) from the brackets.
     (c) Release the cables (3) from the clamps (7), if installed.
     (d) Put a CAP - BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector.
   (4) Carefully move the cables (3) out of the seats.

A. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that:
  • The folding tables are in the folded position
  • The seat backrests are in the vertical position.

A. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the folding tables are in the folded position.
   (2) Make sure that the seat backrests are in the vertical position.
   (3) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (4) On the Business Class (B/C) seat:
     (a) Remove the screw (13), the washer (12) and the cover (11).
     (b) Release the fasteners (7) and (10) and remove the covers (6) and (9).
   (5) On the tourist class seat, release the fasteners (2) and (5) and remove the covers (1) and (4).
   (6) Disconnect the electrical connectors as follows:
     (a) Open the clamps (15).
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connector (16) from the bracket.
     (c) Disconnect the electrical connectors (14) from the In-Seat Power Supply Unit (ISPSU).
     (d) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
     (e) Carefully move the cables (8) away from the seats.

   (1) Remove the applicable seat track covers (4) from the seat tracks.
   (2) Make match marks on the seat tracks to show the position of the seat unit (1).
   (3) Loosen the anti-rattle nuts (3) with a WRENCH - GROOVE NUT.
   (4) Loosen the screws (5) to release the track locks (6).
   (5) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (2) and the track fittings (7) from the seat tracks.
   (6) Lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.

   (1) Remove the applicable seat track covers (4) from the seat tracks.
   (2) Make match marks on the seat tracks to show the position of the seat unit (1).
   (3) Loosen the anti-rattle screws (2).
   (4) Loosen the screws (7).
   (5) Lift and turn the shear pins (6) to release the track locks (8) from the seat tracks.
   (6) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (3) and the track fittings (5) from the seat tracks.
   (7) Lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.

B. Removal of the Passenger Seat in the B/C Area

   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Remove the applicable seat track covers (3) from the seat tracks.
   (3) Put the PIN DIA 3 MM (0,118 IN) through the access holes and push the levers (2) to the unlocked position.
   (4) Use the ALLEN KEY 3/16 IN and turn the screws (5) one and a half turn counterclockwise.
   (5) Turn the locking plates (8) counterclockwise and pull the track locks (6) up.
   (6) Engage the noses of the locking plates (8) in the notches of the track locks (6).
   (7) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (4) and the track fittings (7) from the seat tracks.
   (8) Carefully lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove the seat unit (1).

   (1) Remove the applicable seat track covers (4) from the seat tracks.
   (2) Make match marks on the seat tracks to show the position of the seat unit (1).
   (3) Loosen the anti-rattle nuts (2) with a WRENCH - GROOVE NUT.
   (4) Loosen the screws (5) to release the track locks (7) from the seat tracks.
   (5) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (3) and the track fittings (6) from the seat tracks.
   (6) Lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.

   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Remove the applicable seat track covers (3) from the seat tracks.
   (3) Use a PIN DIA 3 MM (0,118 IN) to push the lever (2) through the access hole to the unlocked position.
   (4) Loosen the screws (5) with an ALLEN KEY 3/16 IN to release the track locks (6).
   (5) Turn the locking plates (8) counterclockwise to the unlocked position.
   (6) Engage the noses of the locking plates (8) in the notches of the track locks (6).
   (7) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (4) and the track fittings (7).
   (8) Carefully lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.

   (3) Loosen the anti-rattle nuts (2) clockwise with a WRENCH - GROOVE NUT.
   (4) Release the spring-clips (5) from the track locks (6).
   (5) Loosen the screws (7) to release the track locks (6) from the seat tracks.
   (6) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (3) and the track fittings (8) from the seat tracks.
   (7) Carefully lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.

   (3) Loosen the anti-rattle nuts (2) with a WRENCH - GROOVE NUT.
   (4) Loosen the screws (5) to release the track locks (7) from the seat tracks.
   (5) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (3) and the track fittings (6) from the seat tracks.
   (6) Carefully lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.

   (2) Remove the applicable seat track covers (6) from the seat tracks.
   (3) Loosen the front stud screws (8).
   (4) Loosen the screws (3) to release the safety caps (2).
   (5) Disengage the safety caps (2) and turn them one quarter turn clockwise.
   (6) Pull the track locks (4) rearward and up to release them from the seat tracks.
   (7) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (7) and the track fittings (5) from the seat tracks.
   (8) Carefully lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.

   (2) Remove the applicable seat track covers (4) from the seat tracks.
   (3) With a WRENCH 5/16 IN - SOCKET, turn the eccentric cams (2) counterclockwise to the unlocked position.
   (4) Release the spring clips (8) from the track locks (7).
   (5) Loosen the screws (6) and release the track locks (7) from the seat tracks.
   (6) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward and release the front studs (3) and the track fittings (5) from the seat tracks.
   (7) Carefully lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.

   (4) Loosen the screws (7).
   (5) Lift and turn the shear pins (6) to release the track locks (8) from the seat tracks.
   (6) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (3) and the track fittings (5) from the seat tracks.
   (7) Lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.

   (4) Loosen the screws (5) to release the track-locks (7).
   (5) Move the seat unit (1) forward or rearward to release the front studs (2) and the track fittings (6) from the seat tracks.
   (6) Carefully lift the seat unit (1) from the seat tracks and remove it.
