A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
(1) Remove the emergency-escape path marking as necessary. Refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 33-51-00-00) to know which emergency lights are installed.
(2) Refer to chapter 25 to know which equipment/furnishings you must remove to get access to the work area. Then remove these items.

Subtask 25-28-41-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Textile Floor Covering (Referred to as Carpet)
(1) Disconnect the electrical connectors, if installed:
(a) Release the fasteners (3) and remove the covers (4).
(b) Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) and release the cables (2).
(c) Put a CAP - BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector.
(2) Remove the screws (8) and the joint-strips (7).
(3) Remove the seat-track covers (6) as necessary.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connectors, if installed:
(a) Release the fasteners (3) and remove the covers (4).
(b) Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) and release the cables (2).
(c) Put a CAP - BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector.
(2) Remove the screws (8) and the joint-strips (7).
(3) Remove the seat-track covers (6) as necessary.
CAUTION:
REMOVE THE FLOOR COVERING CAREFULLY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE CABIN FLOOR PANELS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
(4) Carefully lift a corner of the carpet (5) and pull it away from the floor-panels. Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to make the removal procedure easier.
