Removal of the Forward Doghouse

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THIS EQUIPMENT. THIS EQUIPMENT IS HEAVY (MORE THAN 12 KG (26.5 lb)) AND CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU MOVE A HEAVY COMPONENT, DO NOT PUSH IT ALONG THE CABIN FLOOR OR LET IT RUB AGAINST THE FLOOR. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CABIN FLOOR AND/OR THE COMPONENT.

B. Get Access
(1) Remove the equipment which is kept in the doghouse.
(2) If necessary, remove the seat row forward of the doghouse (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).

A. Removal of the Doghouse
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) For the doghouse with drawer:
(a) Release the locking latch (4) and open the drawer (3).
(b) Remove the screws (6) and the cover (5).
(3) For the doghouse with door:
(a) Release the locking latch (8) and open the door (9).
(b) Tilt the floor plate (7) to get access to the floor fittings.
(4) Remove the cover (2).
(5) Pull the levers (10) out of the quick-change fittings and move them up. Then move the levers (10) forward to the unlocked position and push them into the quick-change fittings.
(6) Remove the doghouse (1).
(7) If applicable, remove the sealant from the seat tracks.

(6) Remove the doghouse (1).

(b) Remove the screws (3) and disengage the drawer (4) from the guide-rails (5).
(3) For doghouses with door:
(a) Release the door lock (8) and open the door (9).
(b) Tilt the floor plate (7) to get access to the floor fittings.
(4) Remove the cover (2).
(5) Pull the lever (10) out of the locked position and move it to the vertical position.
(6) Move the lever (10) to the unlocked position.
(7) Remove the doghouse (1).
