Removal of the Toilet Drain Lines


WARNING: DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING: ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
  • ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
  • ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.
WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE WORK PROCEDURE, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION (TOILET WASTE IS DANGEROUS FOR HEALTH).
WARNING: WHEN YOU REMOVE A COMPONENT OF THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, ALWAYS DISINFECT THE PART BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN A PLASTIC BAG, THEN SEAL THE BAG. DO NOT PUT DOCUMENTS INTO THE PLASTIC BAG. SEAL THE BAG FIRST,THEN ATTACH THE DOCUMENTS TO IT. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION OR ILLNESS. CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.

   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the relevant access door(s).

   (1) For the drain lines in zone 110-122 between Frame 11 and 24A.
     (a) Open the access panels 812 824.
   (2) For the drain lines in the FWD cargo compartment in zone 131 between Frame 24A and 34.
     (a) Open the side wall panels 131GW 131HW 131MW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
     (b) Open the partition panels 131DW 131PW for the drain lines at Frame 24A and 34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-11-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
   (3) For the drain lines on the wing box in zone 241 between Frame 35 and 47.
     (a) Remove the floor panels 241CF 241GF 241LF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
   (4) For the drain lines in the AFT cargo compartment in zone 151 between Frame 47 and 59.
     (a) Open the side wall panels 151CW 151DW 151EW 151HW 151JW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-003).
   (5) For the drain lines in the AFT cargo compartment in zone 151 at Frame 47.
     (a) Open the partition panel 151BW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-001).
   (6) For the drain lines in the AFT cargo compartment in zone 161 between Frame 59 and 65.

   (4) For the drain lines in the AFT cargo compartment in zone 151 between Frame 47.2 and 59.
     (a) Open the side wall panels 151RW 151CW 151DW 151EW 151HW 151JW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-003).
   (5) For the drain lines in the AFT cargo compartment in zone 151 at Frame 47.1.

   (5) For the drain lines in the AFT cargo compartment in zone 151 at Frame 47:
     (a) Open the partition panel 151BW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-001).
   (6) For the drain lines in the AFT cargo compartment in zone 161 between Frame 59 and 65:
     (a) Open the side wall panels 161AW 161BW 161CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).

A. Removal of the Toilet Drain Lines
   (1) Example D.
     (a) Remove the nuts (9), the bolts (5) and the washers (6).
     (b) Remove the bonding straps (12) and the clamps (11).
   (2) Example A.
     (a) Remove the clamshells (4).
     (b) Move the sleeves (3) back over the drain lines (1).
     (c) Remove and discard the O-rings (2).
   (3) Example B.
     (a) Remove the nuts (9) the bolts (5) and the washers (6).
     (b) Remove the spacers (8).
     (c) Remove the clamp assemblies (7).
   (4) Example C.
     (a) Remove the nuts (9), the washers (6), the spacers (8), and the bolts (5).
