A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Open the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the opening of the forward cargo-compartment door.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the control panel of the forward cargo-compartment loading-system to tell persons not to use it.

B. Get Access
(1) Remove the upper Y-guide (Ref. AMM TASK 25-52-46-000-002).

A. Removal of forward cargo-compartment partition FR24A
(1) Remove the forward cargo-compartment partition-panels (6), (7) and (8) as follows:

(a) Loosen the studs (1) of the cover assies (2) and remove the cover assies (2).
(b) Loosen the studs (3) of the cover strip assies (4) and remove the cover strip assies (4).
(c) Loosen the studs (5) of the partition panels (6), (7) and (8).
(d) Remove the partition panels (6), (7) and (8).
(2) If necessary, remove the protection panels (2) as follows:

Protection Panels - Forward Cargo Compartment ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(a) Loosen the screws (5), the washers (7) and the nuts (8) from the protection panels (2) and the supports (3).
(b) Remove the protection panels (2).
(c) Loosen the screws (4) from the partition panels (1).
(d) Remove the supports (3).

(1) Remove the forward cargo-compartment partition-panels (1), (2) and (3) as follows:
(a) Loosen the studs (8), the washers (9) and the lock washers (18) of the partition panels (1), (2) and (3).
(b) Remove the partition panels (1), (2) and (3).
(2) If necessary, remove the protection panels (4), (5), (6) and (7) as follows:
(a) Loosen the screws (14) from the protection panels (4), (5), (6) and (7) and the supports (13).
(b) Remove the protection panels (4), (5), (6) and (7).
(c) Loosen the screws (12) from the partition panels (1) and (2).
(d) Remove the supports (13).
