WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
NOTE: While the Ground Service Network (GSN) is de-energized, the waste tank indication is not available on the Flight Attendant Panel (FAP).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(2) Put the CART - SERVICING, TOILET in position.
(3) Open access door 172AR.
(4) Open the caps of the toilet drain connection and the fill and rinse connection.
(5) Connect the hose adapter of the toilet service vehicle and the 4-inch diameter drain hose to the toilet drain connection.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(2) Put the CART - SERVICING, TOILET in position.
(3) Open access door 172AR.
(4) Open the caps of the toilet drain connection and the fill and rinse connection.
(5) Connect the hose adapter of the toilet service vehicle and the 4-inch diameter drain hose to the toilet drain connection.

A. Draining of the Toilet System
(1) Push the PUSH TO OPEN lever (1).
(2) Pull drain valve control-handle 3341MM from the NORMAL to the DRAIN position.

(2) Pull drain valve control-handle 3341MM from the NORMAL to the DRAIN position.
NOTE: The waste will drain.
B. Flushing of the Toilet System
(1) Connect the fill hose (1-inch diameter) of the toilet service vehicle to the fill and rinse connection.
(2) Operate the toilet service vehicle.
(3) Flush the waste tank with a maximum of 57 l (15.0577 USgal) of water with a maximum pressure of 3.45 bar (50.0380 psi).
5. Close-up(1) Connect the fill hose (1-inch diameter) of the toilet service vehicle to the fill and rinse connection.
(2) Operate the toilet service vehicle.
(3) Flush the waste tank with a maximum of 57 l (15.0577 USgal) of water with a maximum pressure of 3.45 bar (50.0380 psi).
NOTE: The maximum pressure of 3.45 bar is shown on the toilet service panel.
NOTE: This flushing procedure will be completed after approximately 90 s.
NOTE: The drain valve must stay in the OPEN position.

A. Close Access
(1) Stop the toilet service vehicle.
(2) Push drain valve control-handle 3341MM to the NORMAL position.
(3) Disconnect the drain hose and the hose adapter.
(4) Make sure that the waste tank rinse-line is empty.
(7) Close the cap of the toilet fill and rinse connection.
(8) Clean and dry the waste service panel with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(9) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(10) Close access door 172AR.
(11) Remove the access platform(s).
(12) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Stop the toilet service vehicle.
(2) Push drain valve control-handle 3341MM to the NORMAL position.
(3) Disconnect the drain hose and the hose adapter.
(4) Make sure that the waste tank rinse-line is empty.
NOTE: This prevents damage to the waste tank rinse-line in cold weather conditions.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE LEVER ON THE DRAIN CAP IS FULLY CLOSED AND TOUCHES THE DRAIN CAP. IF IT IS NOT FULLY CLOSED, STRUCTURAL DAMAGE CAN OCCUR TO THE SERVICE DOOR.
(5) Close the drain cap (2). NOTE: When you close the drain cap (2), the inner flap will close and lock automatically.
(6) Disconnect the flush/fill hose. (7) Close the cap of the toilet fill and rinse connection.
(8) Clean and dry the waste service panel with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(9) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(10) Close access door 172AR.
(11) Remove the access platform(s).
(12) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
