3. Job Set-up
Subtask 25-43-42-860-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 25-43-00-00).
   (2) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (3) Make sure that the potable water system is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
   (4) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
   (5) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the potable water system.
   (6) In the aft compartment:
     (a) Make sure that the related passenger seats are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
     (b) Make sure that the wall-mounted cabin-attendant seat is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-41-000-001).
     (c) Make sure that the panels are removed:
       1 Make sure that the ceiling panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
       2 Make sure that the cove light panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
       3 Make sure that the upper sidewall panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001).
       4 Make sure that the lower sidewall panel is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).
       5 Make sure that the door frame lining-panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-004).
   (7) In the lavatory:
     (a) Make sure that the lavatory doors are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-19-000-001).
     (b) Make sure that the toilet shroud is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
     (c) Make sure that the toilet assembly is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-41-000-001).
     (d) Make sure that the emergency oxygen container 34WR is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).

C. Preparation for Installation
   (1) If necessary, remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (a) Remove the sealant from the floor panel and the attached components with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
     (b) If necessary, use Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Do a visual inspection of the component interface and the adjacent area.
   (4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) If necessary, install the new placards:
   (6) Prepare the bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-43-42-420-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Lavatory Assembly
CAUTION: WHEN YOU MOVE A HEAVY COMPONENT, DO NOT PUSH IT ALONG THE CABIN FLOOR OR LET IT RUB AGAINST THE FLOOR. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CABIN FLOOR AND/OR THE COMPONENT.
   (1) For the assembly of the lavatory refer to the manufacturer's Component Maintenance Manual CMM 254712.

C. Installation of the Upper Attachment(s)
F Upper Attachment(s) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Put the tie-rod (7) in position on the aircraft structure and install the quick-release pin (6).
   (3) If the tie-rod (3) is removed, install it as follows:
     (a) Put the tie-rod (3) in position on the aircraft structure and install the quick-release pin (4).
   (4) If necessary, adjust the tie-rods (3) and (7) as follows:
NOTE: The tie-rod is adjustable in the range of +/- 12.7 mm (0.5000 in.).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Cut and discard the lockwire.
     (b) Loosen the locknuts (2) and (8).
     (c) Turn the tie-rods (3) and (7) clockwise or counterclockwise until you can install the quick-release pins (5) and (10) easily.
     (d) Tighten the locknuts (2) and (8) and safety them with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (Ref. AMM TASK 20-11-11-911-001).
   (5) Put the tie-rods (3) and (7) in position on the lavatory structure, then install the quick-release pins (5) and (10).
   (6) Make sure that the tie-rod ends (1) and (9) are safetied.

D. Installation of the Water Connections
F Water Connections ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
WARNING: DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION. (CONTAMINATION FROM TOILET WASTE IS DANGEROUS TO HEALTH).
   (1) Connect the potable water connections as follows:
     (a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (b) Connect the potable water hose (16) to the tube (15) and tighten the nut (14).
     (c) Make sure that the potable water hose (16) is not twisted.
     (d) Put the bonding straps (1) and the washers (2) in position and install the bolts (4) and the nuts (3) and do the bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (e) Tighten the nuts (3).
   (2) Connect the waste-water drain connection as follows:
     (a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (b) Put the clamp (12) in position on the drain tube (11).
     (c) Connect the drain tube (11) to the pipe (13).
     (d) Move the clamp (12) on the overlap area and tighten it.
   (3) Connect the vacuum drain connection as follows:
     (a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
     (b) Put the sleeve (7) in position on the vacuum waste line (5).
     (c) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-General Purpose Medium Temp. - (Material No.03FBB1) to the new AIPC 38-31-04-02-040 O-RING (6) and AIPC 38-31-04-02-040 O-RING (9).
     (d) Put the O-rings (6) and (9) in position on the vacuum waste line (5) and the vacuum waste tube (10).
     (e) Put the vacuum waste tube (10) in position.
     (f) Move the sleeve (7) over the O-rings (6) and (9) and install the clamp (8).
     (g) Tighten the clamp (8).

E. Installation of the Air Connections

   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (3) Make sure that the line ends are clean and clear.
   (4) Put the clamp (2) in position and connect the air-extraction hose (1) to the tube (3).
   (5) Tighten the clamp (2).
   (6) Put the clamp (5) in position and connect the ventilation hose (4) to the tube (6).
   (7) Tighten the clamp (5).

F. Installation of the Electrical Connections

   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Release electrical connectors 7198VC-A (1) and 7196VC-A (2) from the aircraft structure.
   (3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Connect the electrical connectors (1) and (2).
   (6) Put the electrical harnesses (4) in position and safety them with the new TIE WRAP (3).

G. Installation of the Miscellaneous Lavatory Equipment
   (1) In the lavatory:
     (a) Install the toilet assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-41-400-001).
     (b) Do not install the toilet shroud at this time.
   (2) Install emergency oxygen container [34WR] (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-400-001).
   (3) Install the lavatory door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-19-400-001).

I. Operational Test of the Lavatory Systems
   (1) Do the test of these potable water/waste-water systems:
Make sure that there are no leaks.
   (2) Do the functional test of the applicable air-extraction point (Ref. AMM TASK 21-23-00-720-002).
   (3) Do the operational test of the individual-air outlet system (Ref. AMM TASK 21-21-00-710-002).
   (4) Do the operational test of these electrical systems/units:
   (5) Make sure that the lavatory auxiliary light is on.

J. Installation of the Pelmet
F Pelmet ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Put the pelmet (5) in position and install the screws (4).
   (3) Put the bonding strap (3) and the washer (2) in position and install the bolt (1). Do the bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

A. Close Access
   (1) In the lavatory:
     (a) Install the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-400-001).
   (2) In the aft compartment:
     (a) Install the related passenger seats (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
     (b) Install the panels:
       1 Install the ceiling panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-400-001).
       2 Install the cove light panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-400-001).
       3 Install the upper sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-400-001).
       4 Install the lower sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-400-001).
       5 Install the door-frame lining panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-008) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-005).
     (c) Install the wall-mounted cabin-attendant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-41-400-001).
     (d) Close all doors.
     (e) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
     (f) Remove the warning notice(s).
