A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the engine (1) and (2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (2) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position is in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (3) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off, and put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to use it.
   (4) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (on legend OFF) and install a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to use it.
WARNING: OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (5) Make sure that the fuel safety procedure instructions are obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (6) Make sure that the hydraulic safety procedure instructions are obeyed (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the applicable aircraft wing-tank is defueled (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
   (2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
   (3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
   (4) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-16-00-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Fuel Recirculation Pipe
NOTE: This procedure is applicable to the left pylon. Data between parentheses are for the right pylon.
   (1) Prepare the pipe assemblies (13) and (5) for the installation as follows:
     (a) Clean the external surface of the fuel recirculation pipes and the adjacent area with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (b) Do a visual inspection of the pipe assemblies (13) and (5), they must not be in the blocked condition.
   (2) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (3) To install the pipe assembly (13), do the steps that follow:
     (a) Put the pipe assembly (13) in the position between RIB5 and RIB9.
     (b) Install the bushes (31) in the clamps (30).
     (c) Install the pipe assembly (13) in the clamps (30).
     (d) Install the tube coupling nut (17) on the pipe assembly (13).
     (e) TORQUE the coupling nut (17) to between 37 and 30 m.N (27.29 and 22.12 lbf.ft ) T.
     (f) Use the PIN - LOCKING and install the locking pin (16) on the tube coupling nut (17).
     (g) Install the washers (29) and the bolts (28) on the clamps (30).
     (h) TORQUE the bolts (28) to between 4.64 and 3.87 m.daN (34.22 and 28.54 lbf.ft )
T.
     (i) Install the inserts (24) and the cleat-half (25).
     (j) Install the angle (19) on the cleat-half (25).
     (k) Install the bolts (20) and the nuts (23).
     (l) TORQUE the nuts (23) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
T.
     (m) Install the washer (26) and the bolt (27).
     (n) TORQUE the bolt (27) to between 0.37 and 0.28 m.daN (32.74 and 24.78 lbf.in )
T.
     (o) Install the washer (22) and the bolt (21).
     (p) TORQUE the bolt (21) to between 3.87 and 3.22 m.daN (28.54 and 23.75 lbf.ft )
T.
     (q) Install the washers (11) and the bolts (12).
     (r) TORQUE the bolts (12) to between 0.37 and 0.28 m.daN (32.74 and 24.78 lbf.in )
T.
   (4) To install the pipe assembly (5), do the steps that follow:
     (a) Put the pipe assembly (5) in the position between RIB9 and RIB6.
     (b) Connect the pipe assembly (5) to the pipe assembly (13).
     (c) Install the bush (31) in the clamp (34).
     (d) Install the pipe assembly (5) in the clamp (34).
     (e) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.
03FAB1) on the new seal (37).
     (f) Install the washer (6) and the bolt (7).
     (g) TORQUE the bolt (7) to between 0.37 and 0.28 m.daN (32.74 and 24.78 lbf.in ) T.
     (h) Install the washer (15) and the bolt (14).
     (i) TORQUE the bolt (14) to between 0.37 and 0.28 m.daN (32.74 and 24.78 lbf.in )
T.
     (j) Attach the bonding lead (8) to the pipe assembly (5) with the washer (9) and the bolt (10) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (k) TORQUE the bolt (10) to between 0.37 and 0.28 m.daN (32.74 and 24.78 lbf.in ) T.
     (l) Install the
AIPC 28-16-86-01-070 SEAL (37) or AIPC 28-16-06-01-120 SEAL (37), the washers (38), the bolts (39) and the plates (36) to the check valve (35).
     (m) TORQUE the bolts (39) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
T.
     (n) Install the clamp (34) with the washers (33) and the bolts (32) on the pipe assembly (5).
     (o) TORQUE the bolts (32) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
T.
     (p) Attach the clamp (18) to the pipe assembly (5) with the bonding lead (1), washer (3), bolt (2) and nut (4) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (q) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in ) T.
Subtask 28-16-00-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the pipe assembly
   (1) Preparation for Installation
     (a) Clean the external surface of the fuel recirculation pipe and the adjacent area with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (b) Do a visual inspection of the pipe assembly. It must not be blocked.
   (2) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (3) Do the steps that follow to install the pipe assembly (2):
     (a) Put the pipe assembly (2) in position between RIB 1 and 6.
     (b) Make sure that the pipe assembly (2) is in correct position and aligned correctly.
     (c) Install the washers (12) and the bolts (11).
     (d) Retract the shroud and carefully connect the pipe assembly (2) to the union (17) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
     (e) TORQUE the clamp (18) to between 0.31 and 0.25 m.daN (27.43 and 22.12 lbf.in ) T.
     (f) Install the clamps (16) with the bolts (13) and (14) and the washers (15).
     (g) Tighten the bolts (11) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).
     (h) Tighten the bolts (13) and (14) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).
     (i) Install the bracket (21) with the bolts (19) and (23) and the nuts (20) and (22).
     (j) Tighten the nuts (20) and (22) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).
     (k) Install the ENG1 (ENG2) fan air valve-actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-54-400-802).
     (l) Install the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-400-001).
   (4) Do the steps that follow to install the pipe assembly (1):
     (a) Put the pipe assembly (1) in position between RIB 6 and 7.
     (b) Make sure that the pipe assembly (1) is in correct position and aligned correctly.
     (c) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new seal (5).
     (d) Install the bolts (3), the washers (4), the AIPC 28-16-86-01-070 SEAL (5) and the plates (6) to the check valve (7).
     (e) Connect the pipe assembly (1) to the pipe assembly (2) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
     (f) Attach the bonding leads (8) to the pipe assembly (1) with the bolts (10) and the washers (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (g) Tighten the bolts (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (h) Safety the bolts (3) and (10) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
