B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-21-010-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). C. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(2) Open the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 415
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 425.

D. Removal of the Components
(1) Removal of the Door Fairing Assembly that is installed on access doors 415BR and 425BR:
(a) Hold the door fairing assembly (18).
(b) Remove the screws (19) and (20).
(c) Remove the door fairing assembly (18).

(a) Hold the door fairing assembly (18).
(b) Remove the screws (19) and (20).

(1) Removal of the pylon lateral access-doors 415AL 415AR 425AL and 425AR:
(a) Hold the access doors (3).
(b) Remove the screws (1) and (2).
(c) Remove the access doors (3).
(d) Hold the access doors (11).
(e) Remove the screws (12).
(f) Remove the access doors (11).
(2) Removal of the pylon lateral access-doors 415BR and 425BR:
(a) Hold the access doors (10).
(b) Remove the screws (9).
(c) Remove the access doors (10).
(3) Removal of the pylon lateral access-doors 415BL 415CR 425BL and 425CR:
(a) Hold the access doors (5).
(b) Remove the screws (4).
(c) Remove the access doors (5).
(d) Hold the access doors (6).
(e) Remove the screws (7) and (8).
(f) Remove the access doors (6).
