1. Reason for the Job
To test for leaks in the fuel recirculation cooling-system when the ambient temperature is at 0 DEG.C (32.00 DEG.F) or higher.
NOTE: If the ambient temperature is below 0 DEG.C (32.00 DEG.F), use AMM task 71-00-00-860-825-A Motor the Engine (Wet Method) to do a check for leaks in the fuel system. Airbus recommends that you do this procedure for 30 seconds and use 120 seconds of the dry crank after the wet crank.

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001).
   (2) On center pedestal panel 114VU:
     (a) Make sure that the flap/slat control lever is in the zero position.
     (b) Make sure that a 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is installed on the slat/flap control lever.
   (3) In the cockpit, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (4) On the throttle control lever, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the reverse system.
   (5) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.

   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE below the applicable position in zone 520 (620).
   (2) Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-804):

4. Procedure
Subtask 28-16-00-790-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Functional Test of the Fuel Recirculation Cooling-System
   (1) Do a minimum idle check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-720-811).
NOTE: Airbus recommends that you do the idle check for a minimum of three minutes.
   (2) Monitor the fuel pipe connections for fuel leaks:
     (a) Make sure that there are no leaks.
   (3) Monitor fuel recirculation check-valve 122QM (123QM) for fuel leaks:
     (a) If there are signs of leakage, replace the check valve(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-16-42-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-16-42-400-001).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-400-804):
