A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Open the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040)

4. Procedure
Subtask 73-11-50-360-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Leak check of the fuel return valve
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector C132 of HJ13 harness from the oil temperature sensor.

Electrical Harness HJ13 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(2) Do a minimum idle check (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-006).
(a) Ignore FADEC 1(2) maintenance status.
(b) Make specially sure there is no leaks at the FRV tubing connections while the engine operates.
(c) Make sure that on the EWD, the warning below does not come into view while the engine operates :
ENG 1, (2) : FUEL RETURN VALVE, VALVE NOT OPEN
(3) Stop the engine (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-028).
(a) Make sure that the FADEC 1(2) maintenance status is associated to the CFDS message EOT SNSR, J13, ECU.
(b) Make sure that on the EWD, the warning below does not come into view during engine shut down :

ENG 1, (2) : FUEL RETURN VALVE, VALVE NOT CLOSED

(4) Connect the electrical connector C132 of HJ13 harness to the oil temperature sensor. Tighten the connector finger tight plus one eighth turn with PLIERS - NOSE, SOFT, LONG.

B. Do an operational test of the FADEC with engine non motoring (Ref. AMM TASK 73-29-00-710-040).

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040)

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
