A. Installation of the Fan Air-Valve Actuator
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Use the locator pins (6) to put the actuator (5) in position in the support bracket (2).
(6) Close the clamps (3) and tighten the nut (4).
(7) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )
.
(8) Identify the tightened union nut (4) with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(9) Put the rod (1) in position on the actuator (5) and install the screw (10).
(10) TORQUE the screw (10) to between 0.38 and 0.31 m.daN (33.63 and 27.43 lbf.in )
maximum.
(11) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(12) Connect the sense line (7) to the actuator (5).
(13) TORQUE the nut of the sense line (7) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(14) Identify the tightened union nut of the sense line (7) with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(15) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(16) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(17) Connect the electrical connector (9) to the electrical connector receptacle (8).
