3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-00-00-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that the passenger seats are removed in the area (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
   (3) If necessary, make sure that the seat-to-seat cables are removed (Ref. AMM D/O 25-21-61-00).
   (4) If necessary, make sure that the galleys, the lavatories and/or the stowages are removed. To do this, refer to the paragraph Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation:
   (5) If necessary, make sure that the cabin attendant seat is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-42-000-001).
   (6) If necessary, make sure that the partitions are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-42-000-001).
   (7) If necessary, make sure that the textile floor covering is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
   (8) If necessary, make sure that the non-textile floor covering is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-42-000-001).
   (9) If necessary, make sure that the moisture barrier foil (MYLAR) is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-43-000-001).
   (10) If necessary, make sure that the doghouse is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-27-46-000-001).
   (11) If necessary, make sure that the Wall Disconnect Box (WDB) is removed (Ref. AMM D/O 23-33-47-00).
   (12) Make sure that the anti-slip surfaces are in correct condition. If necessary, repair the damaged anti-slip surfaces (Ref. AMM TASK 53-12-00-300-002), (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-00-300-801).
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-00-00-160-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Remove the remaining sealant (20) from the floor panels (15) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (2) Clean the component interface and the adjacent area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (5) Make sure that the clip nuts (16) are clean and in the correct condition. If necessary, replace the defective clip nuts (16).
   (6) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) or Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) and Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Soft Film - (Material No.12ACC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ACB1) to the areas of support structure that follow:
  • The floor crossbeams
  • The seat tracks
  • The longitudinal profiles.
     (a) Do not apply corrosion protection agents to the threads and the bearing surfaces of the clip nuts (16).
   (7) Make sure that the Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (13) is in the correct condition. If necessary:
     (a) Remove the defective Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (13).
     (b) Clean the contact surfaces of the Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (13) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (c) Install the Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (13).
Subtask 53-00-00-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE SCREWS ON THE PANEL, MAKE SURE THAT THE POSITION OF THE SCREWS IS CORRECT. AN INCORRECT POSITION OF THE SCREWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT BELOW THE PANEL.
B. Installation of the Floor Panels
NOTE: This procedure is applicable to the installation of the floor panels (15) with different types of tapes (13).
   (1) Installation of the cabin floor panels (15):
     (a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
     (b) If removed, put the connecting plates (17) in the installation position.
     (c) If removed, install the heated floor panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-27-51-400-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-27-51-400-002).
     (d) Use the identification made during the removal procedure to put the floor panels (15) in position.
     (e) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the screws (12).
     (f) Install the screws (12) on the floor panels (15).
     (g) TORQUE the screws (12) to between 0.37 and 0.33 m.daN (32.74 and 29.20 lbf.in ) T.
     (h) Install the new Cord-- Nylon Braided - (Material No.
14RAC1) (14) or the new Cord-Ligature - - (Material No.14RBA1) (14) or the new 14RAD1Cord-- Synthetic fiber Dia: 2.5 mm - (14) in the spaces between the butt joints and the floor panels (15).
     (i) Apply the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) (20) or the Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) (20) or the Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06ACB1) (20) or the Polysulfide Sealant-Gap Filler Easily Removed - - (Material No.06AHG1) (20) in the spaces between the butt joints and the floor panels (15).
NOTE: It is necessary to apply the sealant (20) at the end of the seat track crown.
     (j) Make a loop at each end of the cord (14).
     (k) Carefully put the cord ends in the sealant (20).
NOTE: This will make the subsequent removal procedure easier.
     (l) Apply the Adhesive Film Tape-- Film Polyester Transparent Low Adhesion - (Material No.05RAM1) (18) on the floor panel edges.
   (2) Install the angles (1) and (8) on the bottom corner of the door 1, left or right side, as follows:
     (a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the surface of the cover strip (11) that touches the metal surface of the cabin floor.
     (b) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) on the surfaces of the angles (1) and (8) that touch the metal surface of the cabin floor.
     (c) Put the angle (1) in position on the structure.
     (d) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the screws (3), (5) and (6).
     (e) Install the washer (7) and the screw (6).
     (f) Install the washers (2) and (4) and the screws (3) and (5).
     (g) TORQUE the screws (3), (5) and (6) to between 0.37 and 0.33 m.daN (32.74 and 29.20 lbf.in ) T.
     (h) Put the angle (8) in position on the structure.
     (i) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.
06LCG9) on the screws (3), (5) and (6).
     (j) Install the washer (4) and the screw (5).
     (k) Install the washers (2) and (7) and the screws (3) and (6).
     (l) TORQUE the screws (3), (5) and (6) to between 0.37 and 0.33 m.daN (32.74 and 29.20 lbf.in ) T.
     (m) Put the cover strip (11) in position on the structure.
     (n) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.
06LCG9) on the screws (9) and (10).
     (o) Install the screws (9) and (10).
     (p) TORQUE the screws (9) and (10) to between 0.37 and 0.33 m.daN (32.74 and 29.20 lbf.in ) T.
     (q) Remove the unwanted sealant (20) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.
14SBA1) .
Subtask 53-00-00-160-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Remove the remaining sealant (22) from the floor panels (15) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (2) Clean the component interface and the adjacent area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (5) Make sure that the clip nuts (16) are clean and in the correct condition.
     (a) If necessary, replace the defective clip nuts (16).
   (6) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) or Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) and Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Soft Film - (Material No.12ACC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ACB1) to the areas of support structure that follow:
  • The floor crossbeams
  • The seat tracks
  • The longitudinal profiles.
     (a) Do not apply corrosion protection agents to the threads and the bearing surfaces of the clip nuts (16).
   (7) Make sure that the Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (13) are in the correct condition.
   (8) If the adhesive tapes (13) are not in the correct condition:
     (a) Remove the defective adhesive tapes (13).
     (b) Clean the mating surfaces of the adhesive tapes (13) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (c) Apply the new Sealing Profile-- Silicone Foam - (Material No.14JAB1) (13).
Subtask 53-00-00-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE SCREWS ON THE PANEL, MAKE SURE THAT THE POSITION OF THE SCREWS IS CORRECT. AN INCORRECT POSITION OF THE SCREWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT BELOW THE PANEL.
D. Installation of the Floor Panels
NOTE: This procedure is applicable to the installation of the floor panels (15) with different types of sealant (22) and adhesive tapes (13).
   (1) Install the floor panels (15):
     (a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
     (b) If removed, install the heated floor panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-27-51-400-002).
     (c) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the screws (12).
     (d) Put the floor panels (15) in position. Refer to the identification made during the removal procedure.
     (e) Install the screws (12) on the floor panels (15).
     (f) TORQUE the screws (12) to between 3.85 and 3.15 m.N (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
     (g) Install the new Cord-- Nylon Braided - (Material No.
14RAC1) (14) or the new Cord-Ligature - - (Material No.14RBA1) (14) or the new 14RAD1Cord-- Synthetic fiber Dia: 2.5 mm - (14) or the new FIBER GLASS CORD 1.1MM DIA. (DAN107-1) (14) in the spaces between the floor panels (15) and the butt joints.
     (h) Apply the new Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) (22) or the new Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) (22) or the new Polysulfide Sealant-Low Density Multi Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06ACB1) (22) or the new Polysulfide Sealant-Gap Filler Easily Removed - - (Material No.06AHG1) (22) in the spaces between the butt joints and the floor panels (15) and on the run-out areas of the seat track.
NOTE: It is necessary to apply the sealant (22) at the end of the seat track crown.
     (i) Put the ends of the cords (14) on the floor panels (15) at a distance K1 of approximately 250 mm (9.84 in.).
     (j) Install the new Adhesive Film Tape-- Film Polyester Transparent Low Adhesion - (Material No.05RAM1) (18) on:
  • The edges of the floor panels (15)
  • The ends of the cords (14), a minimum of 10 mm (0.39 in.) longer than the cords (14) (dimension (K2)).
       1 For the floor panels (15) adjacent to the seat track:
  • Make sure that dimension K3 between the edge of the new adhesive tapes (18), Adhesive Film Tape-- Film Polyester Transparent Low Adhesion - (Material No.05RAM1) , and the crown of the seat track is a minimum of 5 mm (0.20 in.).
   (2) As necessary, install the angles (1) and (8) at the related lower corner of door 1, left or right side, as follows:
     (a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) (22) on the surface of the cover strip (11) that touches the metal surface of the cabin floor.
     (b) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the screws (9) and (10).
     (c) Put the cover strip (11) in position on the structure.
     (d) Install the screws (9) and (10).
     (e) TORQUE the screws (9) and (10) to between 3.85 and 3.15 m.N (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
     (f) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.
06AEA1) on the surfaces of the angles (1) and (8) that touch the metal surface of the cabin floor panels (15).
     (g) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the screws (3), (5) and (6).
     (h) Put the angle (8) in position on the structure.
     (i) Install the washer (7) and the screw (6).
     (j) Install the washers (2) and (4) and the screws (3) and (5).
     (k) TORQUE the screws (3), (5) and (6) to between 3.85 and 3.15 m.N (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in ) T.
     (l) Put the angle (1) in position on the structure.
     (m) Install the washer (7) and the screw (6).
     (n) Install the washers (2) and (4) and the screws (3) and (5).
     (o) TORQUE the screws (3), (5) and (6) to between 3.85 and 3.15 m.N (34.07 and 27.88 lbf.in )
T.
     (p) Remove the unwanted sealant (22) with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.
14SBA1) .

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) If removed, install the Wall Disconnect Box (WDB) (Ref. AMM D/O 23-33-47-40).
   (3) If removed, install the doghouse (Ref. AMM TASK 25-27-46-400-001).
   (4) If removed, install the moisture barrier foil (MYLAR) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-43-400-001).
   (5) If removed, install the non-textile floor covering (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-42-400-001).
   (6) If removed, install the textile floor covering (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).
   (7) If removed, install the partitions (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-42-400-001).
   (8) If removed, install the cabin attendant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-42-400-001) and/or (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-43-400-001).
   (9) If removed, install the galleys, the lavatories and/or the stowages. To do this, refer to the paragraph Component Location in the applicable ATA 25 Description/Operation:
   (10) If removed, install the seat-to-seat cables (Ref. AMM D/O 25-21-61-40).
   (11) If removed, install the passenger seats (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
   (12) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) De-energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
