A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(a) Clean the component interface and the floor covering with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that all placards of the retained/new components are in the correct position and in good condition.
(4) If necessary install new placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-007) and (Ref. AMM D/O 11-32-25-00).
Subtask 25-22-42-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(a) Clean the component interface and the floor covering with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that all placards of the retained/new components are in the correct position and in good condition.
(4) If necessary install new placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-007) and (Ref. AMM D/O 11-32-25-00).
B. Installation of the Free-Standing Seat Assembly
(1) Put the bushes (5) in position and install the new AIPC 25-22-09-90-010 PACKINGS (4) or the new AIPC 25-22-89-90-010 PACKINGS (4).
(2) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-General Purpose Graphited - (Material No.03FBC1) to the threads of the bolts (2).
(3) Put the free-standing seat assembly (1) in position and install the washers (3) and the bolts (2).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 140 and 100 lbf.in (1.58 and 1.13 m.daN )
.
(5) Connect the electrical connector (6) as follows:
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (6) to the receptacle of the aircraft.
(6) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(7) Close the access flap of the free-standing seat assembly (1).
(8) Seal the seat-floor contact area:
(a) Put a14RAD1 Cord-- Synthetic fiber Dia: 2.5 mm - into the area between the free-standing seat assembly (1) and the cabin floor for a length of approximately 100 mm (4.0 inches).
(b) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the area between the free-standing seat assembly (1) and the cabin floor.
(c) Make a loop at the end of the synthetic cord and push the loop into the sealant. This is necessary for the subsequent removal procedure.
Subtask 25-22-42-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the bushes (5) in position and install the new AIPC 25-22-09-90-010 PACKINGS (4) or the new AIPC 25-22-89-90-010 PACKINGS (4).
(2) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-General Purpose Graphited - (Material No.03FBC1) to the threads of the bolts (2).
(3) Put the free-standing seat assembly (1) in position and install the washers (3) and the bolts (2).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 140 and 100 lbf.in (1.58 and 1.13 m.daN )
.(5) Connect the electrical connector (6) as follows:
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (6) to the receptacle of the aircraft.
(6) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(7) Close the access flap of the free-standing seat assembly (1).
(8) Seal the seat-floor contact area:
(a) Put a
(b) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the area between the free-standing seat assembly (1) and the cabin floor.
(c) Make a loop at the end of the synthetic cord and push the loop into the sealant. This is necessary for the subsequent removal procedure.
B. Installation of the Seat Assembly (Hard Point mounted)
(1) Install the floor fittings and the new seal system, if removed before:
(b) Put on GLOVES - COTTON, LINT-FREE, CLEAN.
(c) If necessary, remove the clear protective film and install the new seal (11) on the bushes (10).
(d) Remove the white protective paper from the seal (11) and put the bushes (10) in position in the floor panel.
(e) If necessary, remove the clear protective films from the new seals (9) and attach two of them with the stronger adhesive side to the bottom of each end of the seal carriers (6).
(f) Remove the white protective paper from the seals (9) and put the seal carriers (6) in position.
(g) Make sure that the holes of the seal carrier (6) align with the bushes (10) in the cabin floor and push both ends down.
(2) Install the seat assembly:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 25-22-09-90-020 O-RING (3) installed in the groove on top of the seal carriers (6).
(c) Put the seat assembly (2) in position and open the access flap (1).
(d) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the first three threads of the bolts (5).
(e) Install the washers (4) and the bolts (5).
(f) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 140 and 100 lbf.in (1.58 and 1.13 m.daN )

(3) Connect the electrical connector:
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (8) and install the cover (7).
(4) Close access:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Install the removed equipment in the stowage and close the access flap (1).
Subtask 25-22-42-420-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the floor fittings and the new seal system, if removed before:
NOTE: The GOODRICH Hard Point Installation-Kit is necessary for this procedure.

(e) If necessary, remove the clear protective films from the new seals (9) and attach two of them with the stronger adhesive side to the bottom of each end of the seal carriers (6).
(f) Remove the white protective paper from the seals (9) and put the seal carriers (6) in position.
(g) Make sure that the holes of the seal carrier (6) align with the bushes (10) in the cabin floor and push both ends down.
(2) Install the seat assembly:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 25-22-09-90-020 O-RING (3) installed in the groove on top of the seal carriers (6).
(c) Put the seat assembly (2) in position and open the access flap (1).
(d) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the first three threads of the bolts (5).
(e) Install the washers (4) and the bolts (5).
(f) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 140 and 100 lbf.in (1.58 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (3) Connect the electrical connector:
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (8) and install the cover (7).
(4) Close access:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Install the removed equipment in the stowage and close the access flap (1).
C. Installation of the Seat Assembly (Adapter Plate mounted)
(1) Install the floor fittings and the new seal system, if removed before:
(b) Put on GLOVES - COTTON, LINT-FREE, CLEAN.
(c) If necessary, remove the clear protective film and install the new seal (18) on the bushes (17).
(d) Remove the white protective paper from the seal (18) and put the bushes (17) in position in the floor panel.
(e) Put the track fittings (14) in position in the floor/seat track as recorded during the removal procedure.
(f) If necessary, remove the clear protective films from the new seals (16) and attach two of them with the stronger adhesive side to the bottom of each end of the seal carrier (15).
(g) Remove the white protective paper from the seals (16) and put the seal carrier (15) in position.
(h) Make sure that the holes of the seal carrier (15) align with the bushes (17) in the cabin floor and push both ends down.
(i) If necessary, remove the clear protective film from the new seals (13) and attach three of them with the stronger adhesive side to the bottom of each seal carrier/stop fitting (12).
(j) Remove the white protective paper from the seals (13), put the seal carrier/stop fittings (12) in position on the track fittings (14) and push them down.
(2) Install the seat assembly:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 25-22-09-90-020 O-RING (11) installed in the groove on top of the seal carrier (15) and the seal carrier/stop fittings (12).
(c) Put the seat assembly (1) in position and open the access flap (2).
(d) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the first three threads of the bolts (5), (6) and (7).
(e) Install the washers (9) and the bolts (6).
(f) Install the washers (10) and the bolts (5) and (7).
(g) TORQUE the bolts (5), (6) and (7) to between 140 and 100 lbf.in (1.58 and 1.13 m.daN )

(3) Connect the electrical connector:
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (4) and install the cover (3).
(4) Close access:
(a) Install the container (8).
(b) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(c) Install the removed equipment in the stowage and close the access flap (2).
Subtask 25-22-42-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the floor fittings and the new seal system, if removed before:

(f) If necessary, remove the clear protective films from the new seals (16) and attach two of them with the stronger adhesive side to the bottom of each end of the seal carrier (15).
(g) Remove the white protective paper from the seals (16) and put the seal carrier (15) in position.
(h) Make sure that the holes of the seal carrier (15) align with the bushes (17) in the cabin floor and push both ends down.
(i) If necessary, remove the clear protective film from the new seals (13) and attach three of them with the stronger adhesive side to the bottom of each seal carrier/stop fitting (12).
(j) Remove the white protective paper from the seals (13), put the seal carrier/stop fittings (12) in position on the track fittings (14) and push them down.
(2) Install the seat assembly:
(a) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(b) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 25-22-09-90-020 O-RING (11) installed in the groove on top of the seal carrier (15) and the seal carrier/stop fittings (12).
(c) Put the seat assembly (1) in position and open the access flap (2).
(d) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the first three threads of the bolts (5), (6) and (7).
(e) Install the washers (9) and the bolts (6).
(f) Install the washers (10) and the bolts (5) and (7).
(g) TORQUE the bolts (5), (6) and (7) to between 140 and 100 lbf.in (1.58 and 1.13 m.daN )
. (3) Connect the electrical connector:
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Connect the electrical connector (4) and install the cover (3).
(4) Close access:
(a) Install the container (8).
(b) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(c) Install the removed equipment in the stowage and close the access flap (2).
D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
