1. Reason for the Job
This procedure gives the instructions necessary to do a reset and a BITE-test of the CIDS.
NOTE: For each LED cabin sign: If the test is not deactivated in the CAM, Class 3 fault messages will be recorded.

Subtask 23-73-00-860-086-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(4) Energize the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003).
(5) Make sure that at least one cabin door is open.
Subtask 23-73-00-860-086-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(4) Energize the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003).
(5) Make sure that at least one cabin door is open.

(2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(4) Energize the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003).
(5) Make sure that the Passenger Entertainment System is energized
(Ref. AMM D/O 23-33-00-74).
(6) Make sure that at least one cabin door is open.
Subtask 23-73-00-860-087-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)

(3) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(4) Energize the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003).
(5) Make sure that the Passenger Entertainment System is energized
(Ref. AMM D/O 23-33-00-74).
(6) Make sure that at least one cabin door is open.
B. Make sure that the EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL on the overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
NOTE: If some reading lights do not operate after the test, switch off the reading lights at the FAP for approx. 10 sec. and than on again.
NOTE: If the NS signs in a Non Smoker A/C configuration do not come on, set the NS switch 190RH to the AUTO or ON position and than back again.
(1) Do the EIS stop procedure(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
