A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the area of the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) is free from equipment and furnishings.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the area of the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) is free from equipment and furnishings.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
Subtask 25-28-43-160-050-A A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the floor panels and the MYLAR-Covering installation area:
(b) Make sure that the work area is free from dust and other particles. If necessary use a VACUUM CLEANER.
(2) Do a visual inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the lighting in the work area is bright.
(4) Make sure that the ambient temperature in the work area is between 18 deg.C (64.40 deg.F) and 30 deg.C (86.00 deg.F).
(5) Make sure that the ambient humidity in the work area is not more than 75 %.
(6) Make sure that you monitor the ambient temperature and the ambient humidity of the work area with applicable instruments.
Subtask 25-28-43-560-050-A (1) Clean the floor panels and the MYLAR-Covering installation area:
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(a) Clean the floor panels (2), the component interface and the adjacent area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) , a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC. (b) Make sure that the work area is free from dust and other particles. If necessary use a VACUUM CLEANER.
(2) Do a visual inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the lighting in the work area is bright.
(4) Make sure that the ambient temperature in the work area is between 18 deg.C (64.40 deg.F) and 30 deg.C (86.00 deg.F).
(5) Make sure that the ambient humidity in the work area is not more than 75 %.
(6) Make sure that you monitor the ambient temperature and the ambient humidity of the work area with applicable instruments.
B. Preparation for Installation
(1) Inspect the Corrosion Preventive Filling Compound Application.
(a) Make sure that:
(2) Inspect the Floor Panels:
(a) Do a detailed visual inspection of the floor panels.
(b) Make sure that the floor panels have no damage, scratches, dents and holes.
(c) Make sure that the floor panels are correctly fastened on the floor structure.
(3) Installation of the Adhesive Tape: (Detail C)
(b) Install the adhesive tape (3) Adhesive Film Tape-- Film Polyester Transparent Low Adhesion - (Material No.05RAM1) on the center of the seat track.
Subtask 25-28-43-420-050-A (1) Inspect the Corrosion Preventive Filling Compound Application.
(a) Make sure that:
- The corrosion preventive filling compound is in good condition (cracks are not permitted)
- The complete seat track crown is filled with corrosion preventive filling compound
- The top surface of the seat track (4) has a thin layer of COSMOLINE
- The equipment attachment points are installed.
(2) Inspect the Floor Panels:
(a) Do a detailed visual inspection of the floor panels.
(b) Make sure that the floor panels have no damage, scratches, dents and holes.
(c) Make sure that the floor panels are correctly fastened on the floor structure.
(3) Installation of the Adhesive Tape: (Detail C)
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(a) Clean the contact areas of the adhesive tape (3) with a lint-free cotton cloth, Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) . (b) Install the adhesive tape (3) Adhesive Film Tape-- Film Polyester Transparent Low Adhesion - (Material No.05RAM1) on the center of the seat track.
C. Installation of the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) on the Floor Panels.
(1) Install the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) together with Adhesive Film Tape-Liquid Barrier Transparent Foil - (Material No.05RMM9) on the floor panels (2):
(a) Unwind the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) from the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) roll and cut the (MYLAR) (1) to the necessary length.
(b) Make sure that the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) is in good condition and has no signs of damage (cracks, folds and holes).
(c) Remove the protective paper and install the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) on the floor panels (2).
(d) Install the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) together with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , with a light pressure of your hand.
(e) Make sure that you install the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) from the middle to the edges to prevent wrinkles and air pockets.
(g) Move the rubber roller forward, rearward and around the edges Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) for a better bond and a smooth surface.
(h) For the installation of one more layer of the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1), do steps (a) thru (e) again.
5. Close-up(1) Install the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) together with Adhesive Film Tape-Liquid Barrier Transparent Foil - (Material No.05RMM9) on the floor panels (2):
(a) Unwind the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) from the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) roll and cut the (MYLAR) (1) to the necessary length.
(b) Make sure that the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) is in good condition and has no signs of damage (cracks, folds and holes).
(c) Remove the protective paper and install the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) on the floor panels (2).
(d) Install the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) together with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , with a light pressure of your hand.
(e) Make sure that you install the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) from the middle to the edges to prevent wrinkles and air pockets.
CAUTION:
DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE MOISTURE BARRIER FOIL (MYLAR).
(f) Use the ROLLER - RUBBER and press the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) on the floor panels (2). (g) Move the rubber roller forward, rearward and around the edges Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) for a better bond and a smooth surface.
(h) For the installation of one more layer of the Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1), do steps (a) thru (e) again.
NOTE: The Moisture Barrier Foil (MYLAR) (1) has an overlap of 50 mm ± 10 mm (2.0 in ± 0.39 in) on (MYLAR) foil (1) which is already installed in (Detail A).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) If necessary, install the non-textile floor covering (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-42-400-001) and/or the textile floor-covering (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).

(2) If necessary, install the non-textile floor covering (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-42-400-001) and/or the textile floor-covering (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-400-001).
