Make sure that:
- The floor panels are in a correct condition
- The floor panels are correctly installed
- All gaps around the floor-panels are filled with sealant.
C. Preparation of the Textile Floor Covering (Referred to as Carpet)
(3) If necessary, apply new dispersion-adhesive to the bottom side of the carpet:
(a) Apply 120 g (4.23 oz) (fluid weight) of Acrylic Adhesive-Textile Floor Pressure Sensitive - Waterborne - (Material No.05DBB1) per 1 m2 (10.76 ft.2) with an application device to the bottom side of the carpet.
(c) Let the dispersion-adhesive layer become stable and dry for a minimum of 16 hours:
Subtask 25-28-41-560-051-A NOTE: These work steps are only applicable for installation of carpet with dispersion-adhesive.
(1) Make sure that: - The carpet is clean and in a correct condition
- The lighting in the work area is bright
- The work area is free from dust
- The ambient temperature is between 18 deg.C (64.40 deg.F) and 30 deg.C (86.00 deg.F).
- The ambient humidity is not more than 75%.
NOTE: When you install heavy carpet with a rough bottom-structure apply 150 g (5.29 oz) (fluid weight) of Acrylic Adhesive-Textile Floor Pressure Sensitive - Waterborne - (Material No.05DBB1) per 1 m2 (10.76 ft.2) .
(b) Move the application-device across the surface to make sure that you apply the dispersion-adhesive equally to the carpet. (c) Let the dispersion-adhesive layer become stable and dry for a minimum of 16 hours:
- At an ambient temperature between 18 deg.C (64.40 deg.F) and 30 deg.C (86.00 deg.F).
- At a maximum ambient humidity of 75%.
D. Preparation
(1) Make sure that:
(3) For seat-track areas which stay free from seats or seat-track covers:
(a) Cut the section (2) to the required length and put it into the seat-tracks.
(4) Install the floor panel protection-tape:
(a) Unwind the Adhesive Film Tape-- Film Polyester Transparent Low Adhesion - (Material No.05RAM1) (1) from the roll and install it on all sealed floor panel gaps.
(b) Make sure that the seat-track cut-outs stay free from the floor panel protection-tape.
Subtask 25-28-41-560-052-B (1) Make sure that:
- The lighting in the work area is bright
- The ambient temperature is between 18 deg.C (64.40 deg.F) and 30 deg.C (86.00 deg.F)
- The ambient humidity is not more than 75 %.

E. Installation of the Adhesive Tapes on the Floor Panels
(2) Apply the double-sided tape (2) parallel in longitudinal direction to the floor panels.
(3) Make sure that the weaker adhesive side of the tape (2) is on the floor panels.
(5) Apply additional double-sided tape (2) in lateral direction at all cross joints of the carpet (1).
Subtask 25-28-41-420-050-A NOTE: The double-sided tape has different adhesive strengths on each side. The weaker adhesive side must be put on the floor panel and the stronger adhesive side on the carpet.
NOTE: These work-steps are not applicable when the carpet is attached with dispersion-adhesive.
(1) Unwind the Double Sided Adhesive Tape-Carpet Bonding - - (Material No.05PCB2) (2) from the roll. Do not remove the protective paper from the tape at this time. (2) Apply the double-sided tape (2) parallel in longitudinal direction to the floor panels.
(3) Make sure that the weaker adhesive side of the tape (2) is on the floor panels.
NOTE: Refer to the table of maximum distance between double-sided adhesive tape.
(4) Press down the tape (2) with a ROLLER - RUBBER onto the floor panels. Move the rubber roller rearwards and forwards for a better bond. (5) Apply additional double-sided tape (2) in lateral direction at all cross joints of the carpet (1).
