A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
   (2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (OFF legend on).
     (b) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
   (3) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (4) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
   (5) On access door 191DB, on the HP ground connector:
     (a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.

   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809).

G. Removal of the Components
   (1) Make sure that the engine fire-extinguishing bottle-supports are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-63-000-801).
   (2) Make sure that the thermal blanket is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-61-000-802).
4. Procedure
Subtask 36-11-49-420-157-A
A. Installation of the Sense Line of the Bleed Transferred Pressure-Transducer
   (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
   (2) In the cockpit, on the SD bleed page:
     (a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (5) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (6) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the port of the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) and the indicating tube (16).
   (7) Clean the mating surface of the fitting (20) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (8) Put the sense line (1) in the correct position between the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) and the pylon interface (11).
   (9) Connect the sense line (1) with the union nut (3) to the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4). Do not torque the union nut (3) at this time.
   (10) If the sense line (2) is installed, install the two clamps (9) as follows:
     (a) Make sure that the second parts of the clamps (9) are in the correct position on the supports (10).
     (b) Install the first parts of the clamps (9) on the second parts of the clamps (9) with the sense line (1).
     (c) Install the washers (8) and bolts (7). Do not tighten the bolts (7) at this time.
   (11) Install the fitting (20) in the pylon interface (11) as follows:
     (a) Install the washers (12) and bolts (14).
     (b) Tighten the bolts (14).
     (c) Do the electrical bonding of the fitting (20) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (d) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the bolt ends (14) and to the anchor nuts of the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (1).
     (e) Apply a bead of Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) around the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (1) at the pylon lower spar.
   (12) Torque the union nut (3):
WARNING: TIGHTEN THE UNION(S) TO THE CORRECT TORQUE VALUE. IF YOU DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM SUFFICIENTLY, HOT AIR LEAKAGE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES ON UNIONS.
     (a) Use a second WRENCH - STANDARD to hold the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) and TORQUE the union nut (3) to between 0.85 and 0.73 m.daN (75.22 and 64.60 lbf.in ) T.
   (13) Identify the torqued union nut (3) and the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) with a red line (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
   (14) Tighten the bolts (7).
   (15) Connect the coupling nut (18) of the indicating tube (16) to the sense line (1) as follows:
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
     (a) Apply a thin layer of Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the threads of the coupling nut (18) of the indicating tube (16).
     (b) Connect the coupling nut (18) of the indicating tube (16) to the sense line (1).
     (c) Torque the coupling nut (18):
WARNING: TIGHTEN THE UNION(S) TO THE CORRECT TORQUE VALUE. IF YOU DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM SUFFICIENTLY, HOT AIR LEAKAGE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
       1 TORQUE the coupling nut (18) of the indicating tube (16) to the sense line (1) to between 3.48 and 2.96 m.daN (25.66 and 21.83 lbf.ft ) T.
     (d) Identify the torqued coupling nut (18) of the indicating tube (16) with a red line (

B. Installation of the Sense Line of the Bleed Regulated Pressure-Transducer
   (1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (4) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the port of the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) and the indicating tube (17).
   (5) Clean the mating surface of the fitting (21) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (6) Put the sense line (2) in the correct position between the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (5) and the pylon interface (11).
   (7) Connect the sense line (2) with the union nut (6) to the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (5). Do not torque the union nut (6) at this time.
   (8) Install the two clamps (9).
NOTE: If the sense line (1) is not installed, do not do these steps.
     (a) Make sure that the second parts of the two clamps (9) are in the correct position on the two supports (10).
     (b) Install the first parts of the two clamps (9) on the second parts of the two clamps (9) with the sense line (1).
     (c) Install the four washers (8) and bolts (7). Do not tighten the four bolts (7) at this time.
   (9) Install the fitting (21) in the pylon interface (11).
     (a) Install the two washers (13) and bolts (15).
     (b) Tighten the two bolts (15).
     (c) Do an electrical bonding of the fitting (21) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (d) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the bolt ends (15) and to the anchor nuts of the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (2).
     (e) Apply a bead of Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) around the flanged-bulkhead union of the tube (2) at the pylon lower spar.
   (10) Torque the union nut (6).
WARNING: TIGHTEN THE UNION(S) TO THE CORRECT TORQUE VALUE. IF YOU DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM SUFFICIENTLY, HOT AIR LEAKAGE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES ON UNIONS.
     (a) Use a second WRENCH - STANDARD to hold the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) and TORQUE the union nut (6) to between 0.85 and 0.73 m.daN (75.22 and 64.60 lbf.in ) T.
     (b) Identify the torqued union nut (6) and the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) with a red line (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
   (11) Tighten the four bolts (7).
   (12) Connect the coupling nut (19) of the indicating tube (17) to the sense line (2).
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
     (a) Apply a thin layer of Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the threads of the coupling nut (19) of the indicating tube (17).
     (b) Connect the coupling nut (19) of the indicating tube (17) to the sense line (2).
     (c) Torque the coupling nut (19).
WARNING: TIGHTEN THE UNION(S) TO THE CORRECT TORQUE VALUE. IF YOU DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM SUFFICIENTLY, HOT AIR LEAKAGE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
       1 TORQUE the coupling nut (19) of the indicating tube (17) to the sense line (2) to between 3.48 and 2.96 m.daN (25.66 and 21.83 lbf.ft ) T.
       2 Identify the torqued coupling nut (19) of the indicating tube (17) with a red line (

C. Installation of the Components
   (1) Install the thermal blanket (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-61-400-802).
   (2) Install the supports-engine fire-extinguishing bottles (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-63-400-801).

F. Leak Test
   (1) Pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-806) or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-805).
     (a) Make sure that there are no leaks at the sense line connections (Ref. AMM TASK 36-22-00-790-803).
   (2) Remove the materials that you used to do the leak test on the sense lines (1) and/or (2) connections.
5. Close-up
