A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (2) On the panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
   (3) On the panel 110VU, make sure that the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle is folded into the center console.
   (4) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is adjacent to the MLG to tell persons to keep clear.

   (1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).

  • Left MLG extension proximity-sensors 21GA and 23GA
  • Right MLG extension proximity-sensors 20GA and 22GA.

G. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
NOTE: You can energize the aircraft electrical circuits from an external source or the aircraft APU as necessary.
   (2) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system with one of the two hydraulic supplies that follow:
     (a) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system with the ground hydraulic supply (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001).
     (b) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system with the Yellow hydraulic system (through the PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
   (3) Set ADIRU 1 or 3 to ON.
   (4) On panel 41VU, set the applicable IR1 or IR3 selector switch to the ATT position.
   (5) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

   (4) On panel 41VU, set the applicable IR1 or IR3 selector switch to the ATT position.
   (5) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

I. Removal of the Safety Devices
   (1) Remove the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE from the applicable MLG lockstay actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-081-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-31-00-720-075-A
A. Functional Test of the MLG Lockstay Actuating Cylinder with Brace Tool Installed
   (1) Do this test:
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the panel 400VU:
  • move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the UP position.
On the aircraft:
  • monitor the movement of the actuator as it retracts, the movement must be free and smooth.
2.On the panel 400VU:
  • move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the DOWN position.
On the aircraft:
  • monitor the movement of the actuator as it extends, the movement must be free and smooth.
3.Do the test procedure three times. This is to make sure that the actuator movement is the same each time.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system with one of the two procedures that follow:
     (a) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
     (b) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system with the Yellow hydraulic system (through the PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
   (2) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S).
   (3) Remove the 98F32304000000 TARGET-FALSE from:
  • NLG extension proximity-sensors 24GA and 25GA
  • Left MLG extension proximity-sensors 21GA and 23GA
  • Right MLG extension proximity-sensors 20GA and 22GA.
   (4) Remove the brace tool from the applicable MLG lockstay actuating-cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-080-001).
   (5) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (6) Set ADIRU 1 or 3 to OFF.
   (7) On panel 41VU, set the applicable IR1 or IR3 selector switch to the OFF position.
   (8) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
   (2) Remove the D23080000 PIN-GROUND LOCK,NLG.
   (3) Close the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).

C. Ground Configuration after Flight Configuration Precautions
   (1) Do the ground configuration after flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).

D. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
