Nose Gear Doors - Ground Doors Closing
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the nose landing gear.
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position to prevent access to the travel ranges of the nose gear door.
(3) Make sure that the Ground Door-Opening Handle is locked in the Opening position.

A. Unlock the NLG Doors
(1) Remove the 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR from the rigging holes of the left and right doors of the nose gear.

B. Close the NLG Doors
(2) Push the pusher. Move the ground door-opening handle from the opening position to the closed position.
(3) Release the pusher. Make sure that the ground door-opening handle is locked in the closed position.
(4) Install the quick release pin in the pusher of the ground door-opening handle to prevent its operation.
(5) Make sure that the nose gear doors are closed and uplocked.
5. Close-upWARNING:
FOR SAFETY STAND AFT OF THE GEAR LEG WHEN YOU OPERATE THE GROUND OPENING CONTROL OF THE DOOR. CAREFULLY READ THE PLACARD ON THE LEG DOOR BEFORE YOU OPEN THE NOSE GEAR DOORS.
(1) Remove the quick release pin from the pusher of the ground door-opening handle. (2) Push the pusher. Move the ground door-opening handle from the opening position to the closed position.
(3) Release the pusher. Make sure that the ground door-opening handle is locked in the closed position.
(4) Install the quick release pin in the pusher of the ground door-opening handle to prevent its operation.
(5) Make sure that the nose gear doors are closed and uplocked.
NOTE: If the doors do not close, put the ground door-opening handle in the opening position.
(This is possibly because there is not sufficient pressure in the hydraulic system of the landing gear).
