Nose Gear Doors - Ground Doors Opening
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) In the cockpit, on the center pedestal, make sure that : the free-fall control handle is in the normal position.
(2) Make sure that the LANDING GEAR CONTROL LEVER is set to DOWN.

B. Safety Precaution
(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the nose landing gear.
(2) Put the safety barriers in position to prevent access to the travel ranges of the nose gear door.

NOTE: You can open the door on the ground with :
- the Green reservoir and the Green hydraulic system depressurized
- the Green reservoir and the Green hydraulic system pressurized.

A. Open the NLG doors
(2) Push the pusher and move the ground door-opening handle from the closed position to the opening position.
(3) Release the pusher and make sure that the ground door-opening handle is locked in the opening position.
(4) Make sure that the NLG door uplock releases and that the nose gear doors start to open.
Subtask 32-22-00-481-050-A WARNING:
FOR SAFETY STAND AFT OF THE GEAR LEG WHEN YOU OPERATE THE GROUND OPENING CONTROL OF THE DOOR. CAREFULLY READ THE PLACARD ON THE LEG DOOR BEFORE YOU OPEN THE NOSE GEAR DOORS.
(1) Remove the quick release pin from the pusher of the ground door-opening handle. (2) Push the pusher and move the ground door-opening handle from the closed position to the opening position.
(3) Release the pusher and make sure that the ground door-opening handle is locked in the opening position.
(4) Make sure that the NLG door uplock releases and that the nose gear doors start to open.
NOTE: It is possible that the nose gear doors do not open fully because of their weight. You must help them manually at the end of the travel.
(5) Install the quick release pin in the pusher of the ground door-opening handle to prevent its operation. B. Lock the NLG doors in the open position
(1) Install the 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR in the rigging holes of the left and right nose gear doors.
5. Close-up(1) Install the 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR in the rigging holes of the left and right nose gear doors.

A. Removal of Equipment
(1) Remove the safety barriers.
(2) Remove the warning notices.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
