(2) Use the TIE WRAP(S) to install the 98F32304000000 TARGET-FALSE on:
(4) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
(5) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(6) On panel 400VU, set the landing gear control-lever (6GA) to the UP position.
(7) Make sure that the NLG doors are fully open and the NLG is retracted and uplocked.
(8) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(9) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(10) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 123.
Subtask 32-22-00-820-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) If you do the adjustment of the NLG doors after removal/installation of the aft NLG door:
(3) Adjust the length of the adjustable stop (12) to get mismatch A to between -2 mm (-0.08 in.) and +1 mm (0.04 in.):
(a) Remove the lockwire from the nut (11) of the adjustable stop (12).
(b) Loosen the nut (11).
(c) Turn the adjustable stop (12).
(d) Tighten and safety the nut (11) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(4) Connect the rotating rod (5).
(a) If necessary, loosen the nut (2) and turn the nut (4) to increase or decrease the length of the rotating rod (5).
(5) Install the bolt (9), washer (8) and nut (7).
and safety it with the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-790 COTTER PIN (6).
(7) Adjust the length of the rotating rod (5) as follows:
(a) Loosen the nut (2) .
(b) Turn the nut (4) to make sure that the NLG door touches the adjustable stop (12).
(c) Turn the nut (4) by 180 degrees to tighten the rotating rod (5).
(d) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 3 and 2.5 m.daN (22.12 and 18.44 lbf.ft )
with the 98AMS172321000 ADAPTOR - WRENCH.
(e) Safety the nut (2) with the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-830 LOCKWASHER (3).
(f) Safety the nut (4) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 32-22-00-820-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(2) Make sure that the travel range of the NLG is clear.
(3) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
(4) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(5) On panel 400VU, put the landing gear control-lever (6GA) in the DOWN position.
(6) On the aircraft, make sure that the NLG is extended and downlocked.
(7) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(8) Install the safety device on the NLG (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).

(6) TORQUE the nut (36) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )
and safety it with the lockwasher (35).
(7) TORQUE the nut (33) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )
and safety it with the lockwasher (32).
(8) TORQUE the nut (30) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )
and safety it with the lockwasher (29).

Adjustment of the NLG doors
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(2) On panel 400VU:
(5) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(6) Obey the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(7) Lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(8) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 123.
Subtask 32-22-00-865-051-A (1) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(2) On panel 400VU:
- Make sure that the landing gear control-lever (6GA) is in the DOWN position
- Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gears.
- Make sure that the free-fall control handle is folded into the center console
- Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the free-fall control handle.
(5) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(6) Obey the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
(7) Lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(8) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 123.

A. Disconnection of the Rotating Rod of the Aft NLG Door
(3) Remove the nut (7) and the washer (8).
(4) Remove the bolt (9) and disconnect the rotating rod from the aft NLG door.
(5) Disengage the tabs of the lockwasher (3) from the nut (2).
(6) Loosen the nut (2).
(7) Remove the rotating rod (5) from the universal joint (1) and discard the lockwasher (3).
(8) Install the rotating rod (5) with the nut (2) and the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-830 LOCKWASHER (3) on the universal joint (1).
(9) Turn the nut (4) until dimension N is approximately 209 mm (8.2284 in.).
Subtask 32-22-00-020-051-A Subtask 32-22-00-867-054-A NOTE: You must disconnect the rotating rod (5) to replace the lockwasher (3) before adjustment of the rotating rod (5).
(1) If you do the adjustment of the NLG doors after removal/installation of the aft NLG door:- Do not disconnect the rotating rod from the replaced aft NLG door.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(2) Remove and discard the cotter pin (6). (3) Remove the nut (7) and the washer (8).
(4) Remove the bolt (9) and disconnect the rotating rod from the aft NLG door.
(5) Disengage the tabs of the lockwasher (3) from the nut (2).
(6) Loosen the nut (2).
(7) Remove the rotating rod (5) from the universal joint (1) and discard the lockwasher (3).
(8) Install the rotating rod (5) with the nut (2) and the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-830 LOCKWASHER (3) on the universal joint (1).
(9) Turn the nut (4) until dimension N is approximately 209 mm (8.2284 in.).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.
C. Retraction of the NLG NOTE: Two persons with the applicable communication tool are necessary to do this procedure:
(1) Remove the access platform(s).- One in the cockpit, and
- Other in the NLG bay.
(2) Use the TIE WRAP(S) to install the 98F32304000000 TARGET-FALSE on:
- Left MLG extension proximity-sensors 21GA and 23GA
- Right MLG extension proximity-sensors 20GA and 22GA.
(4) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
(5) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(6) On panel 400VU, set the landing gear control-lever (6GA) to the UP position.
(7) Make sure that the NLG doors are fully open and the NLG is retracted and uplocked.
(8) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(9) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(10) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 123.
D. Adjustment of the Aft NLG Doors
(1) If you do the adjustment of the NLG doors after removal/installation of the aft NLG door:
(a) If necessary, loosen the nut (2) and turn the nut (4) to increase the length of the rotating rod (5).
(3) Install the bolt (9), the washer (8) and the nut (7).
and safety it with the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-790 COTTER PIN (6).
(5) Adjust the length of the rotating rod (5) as follows:
(a) Loosen the nut (2).
(b) Turn the nut (4) to make the door touch the rear stop.
(c) Turn the nut (4) 180 deg. to tighten the rotating rod (5).
(d) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 3 and 2.5 m.daN (22.12 and 18.44 lbf.ft )
with the 98AMS172321000 ADAPTOR - WRENCH.
(e) Safety the nut (2) with the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-830 LOCKWASHER (3).
14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 32-22-00-820-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If you do the adjustment of the NLG doors after removal/installation of the aft NLG door:
- Do not adjust the replaced aft NLG door.
(a) If necessary, loosen the nut (2) and turn the nut (4) to increase the length of the rotating rod (5).
(3) Install the bolt (9), the washer (8) and the nut (7).

(4) TORQUE the nut (7) to between 0.33 and 0.27 m.daN (29.20 and 23.89 lbf.in )
and safety it with the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-790 COTTER PIN (6). (5) Adjust the length of the rotating rod (5) as follows:
(a) Loosen the nut (2).
(b) Turn the nut (4) to make the door touch the rear stop.
(c) Turn the nut (4) 180 deg. to tighten the rotating rod (5).
(d) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 3 and 2.5 m.daN (22.12 and 18.44 lbf.ft )
with the 98AMS172321000 ADAPTOR - WRENCH. (e) Safety the nut (2) with the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-830 LOCKWASHER (3).
WARNING:

(f) Safety the nut (4) with the WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
D. Adjustment of the Aft NLG Doors (1) If you do the adjustment of the NLG doors after removal/installation of the aft NLG door:
- Do not adjust the replaced aft NLG door.
(3) Adjust the length of the adjustable stop (12) to get mismatch A to between -2 mm (-0.08 in.) and +1 mm (0.04 in.):
(a) Remove the lockwire from the nut (11) of the adjustable stop (12).
(b) Loosen the nut (11).
(c) Turn the adjustable stop (12).
(d) Tighten and safety the nut (11) with the

(a) If necessary, loosen the nut (2) and turn the nut (4) to increase or decrease the length of the rotating rod (5).
(5) Install the bolt (9), washer (8) and nut (7).

(6) TORQUE the nut (7) to between 0.33 and 0.27 m.daN (29.20 and 23.89 lbf.in )
and safety it with the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-790 COTTER PIN (6). (7) Adjust the length of the rotating rod (5) as follows:
(a) Loosen the nut (2) .
(b) Turn the nut (4) to make sure that the NLG door touches the adjustable stop (12).
(c) Turn the nut (4) by 180 degrees to tighten the rotating rod (5).
(d) TORQUE the nut (2) to between 3 and 2.5 m.daN (22.12 and 18.44 lbf.ft )
with the 98AMS172321000 ADAPTOR - WRENCH. (e) Safety the nut (2) with the new AIPC 52-82-31-02-830 LOCKWASHER (3).
(f) Safety the nut (4) with the
E. Adjustment of the Adjustable Stop of the Forward NLG doors
(1) Manually close and hold the forward NLG door until it touches the adjustable stop (14). During this step, make sure that the forward NLG door does not touch the leg door roller.
(2) Adjust the length of the adjustable stop (14) to get mismatch B to between -1 mm (-0.04 in.) and +1.4 mm (0.06 in.).
(b) Loosen the nut (13).
(c) Turn the adjustable stop (14).
(d) Tighten and safety the nut (13) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 32-22-00-820-052-A (1) Manually close and hold the forward NLG door until it touches the adjustable stop (14). During this step, make sure that the forward NLG door does not touch the leg door roller.
(2) Adjust the length of the adjustable stop (14) to get mismatch B to between -1 mm (-0.04 in.) and +1.4 mm (0.06 in.).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (13). (b) Loosen the nut (13).
(c) Turn the adjustable stop (14).
(d) Tighten and safety the nut (13) with the
F. Remove the lockwashers (35), (29), (32) and (45).
(2) Remove the nut (24), the washer (23) and the screw (22).
(3) Remove and discard the cotter pin (26).
(4) Remove the nut (27), the washer (28), the bolt (40) and the washers (38).
(5) Disconnect the rod ends (34) and (37) from the NLG leg.
(6) Measure and record dimensions M and N to help the adjustment.
(7) Loosen the nut (33), remove the rod end (34), remove and discard the lockwasher (32).
(8) Loosen the nut (30), remove the nut (31), remove and discard the lockwasher (29).
(9) Install the new AIPC 32-22-01-01-195 LOCKWASHER (29) or AIPC 32-22-81-01-230 LOCKWASHER (29) and tighten the nut (31).
(10) Install the new AIPC 32-22-01-01-100 LOCKWASHER (32) or AIPC 32-22-81-01-170 LOCKWASHER (32). Tighten the rod end (34) and adjust it approximately to dimension N recorded before.
(11) Do not tighten and safety the nuts (30) and (33) at this step.
(12) Loosen the nut (36), remove the rod end (37), remove and discard the lockwasher (35).
(13) Install the new AIPC 32-22-01-01-100 LOCKWASHER (35) or AIPC 32-22-81-01-170 LOCKWASHER (35). Tighten the rod end (37) and adjust it approximately to dimension M recorded before.
(14) Do not tighten and safety the nut (36) at this step.
(15) Connect the rod ends (34) and (37) to the NLG leg.

(25) Connect the rod end (47) to the leg door of the nose landing gear.
(26) Make sure that the bushes (49) and (50) and the rod (43) are in position. Install the bolt (48) and the nut (51).

(11) Do not tighten and safety the nuts (30) and (33) at this step.
(12) Loosen the nut (36), remove the rod end (37), remove and discard the lockwasher (35).
(13) Install the new AIPC 32-22-01-01-100 LOCKWASHER (35) or AIPC 32-22-81-01-170 LOCKWASHER (35). Tighten the rod end (37) and adjust it approximately to dimension M recorded before.
(14) Do not tighten and safety the nut (36) at this step.
(15) Connect the rod ends (34) and (37) to the NLG leg.
(16) Make sure that the bush (39) is in position. Install the washers (38), the bolt (40), the washer (28) and the nut (27).

(4) Adjust transversal clearance U to between 8.5 mm (0.3346 in.) and 11.5 mm (0.4528 in.) with the washer (38) as follows:

(3) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
(4) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(5) On panel 400VU, put the landing gear control-lever (6GA) in the DOWN position.
(6) On the aircraft, make sure that the NLG is extended and downlocked.
(7) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).

O. Tighten the nuts. (1) TORQUE the nut (51) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )
. (2) TORQUE the nut (46) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )
and safety it with the lockwasher (45). WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(3) TORQUE the nuts (41) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )
and safety them with the (4) TORQUE the nut (24) to between 0.35 and 0.25 m.daN (30.97 and 22.12 lbf.in )
and safety it with the new AIPC 32-22-01-01-260 COTTER PIN (25) or AIPC 32-22-81-01-300 COTTER PIN (25). (5) TORQUE the nut (27) to between 1.4 and 1.2 m.daN (123.89 and 106.19 lbf.in )
and safety it with the new AIPC 32-22-01-01-260 COTTER PIN (26) or AIPC 32-22-81-01-300 COTTER PIN (26). (6) TORQUE the nut (36) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )
and safety it with the lockwasher (35). (7) TORQUE the nut (33) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )
and safety it with the lockwasher (32). (8) TORQUE the nut (30) to between 1.3 and 1.2 m.daN (115.04 and 106.19 lbf.in )
and safety it with the lockwasher (29). P. Test
(1) Make sure that the travel ranges of the landing gear and doors are clear.
(2) Do the functional test of the normal extension and retraction of the nose landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-720-003).

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S).
(2) Remove the 98F32304000000 TARGET-FALSE from:
(4) Lower the aircraft off the jack at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-001).
(5) Put the aircraft back to the ground configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(6) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(7) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(8) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(9) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(10) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S).
(2) Remove the 98F32304000000 TARGET-FALSE from:
- Left MLG extension proximity-sensors 21GA and 23GA
- Right MLG extension proximity-sensors 20GA and 22GA.
(4) Lower the aircraft off the jack at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-001).
(5) Put the aircraft back to the ground configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(6) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(7) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(8) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(9) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(10) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
