A. Safety Precautions

   (1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
   (2) On the panel 400VU:
  • Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
   (3) On the panel 110VU, make sure that the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle is folded into the center console.
   (4) Make sure that the safety device is installed on the applicable MLG (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-12-00-420-065-A
A. Installation of the MLG Door Assembly and Attaching Parts
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed components are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the elbow connectors (19).
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (5) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the elbow connectors (18).
   (6) Put the flexible hoses (13) in position and connect the connectors (18) to the elbow connectors (19).
   (7) Tighten the connectors (18) and TORQUE to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft ) T.
   (8) Apply corrosion protection to the connectors (18) and (19) and the adjacent areas (
Ref. AMM TASK 51-75-13-916-002).
   (9) Make a mark on the connectors (18) and (19) with Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative Furnishing (Material No.04JMD9) .
   (10) Put the clamps (16) in position on the flexible hoses (13) and install the bolts (14), the washers (15) and the nuts (17).
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (11) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the heads of the bolts (14) and the nuts (17).
   (12) Install the applicable MLG door swivel-joint assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-38-400-001).
   (13) Install the applicable MLG door actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-35-400-001).
   (14) Install the bonding straps (5), the bolts (6), the washers (3) and the nuts (2) to the hinge attachment points (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (15) Safety the nuts (2) with the new AIPC 32-12-03-01-130 COTTER PIN (1) or the new AIPC 32-12-83-01-130 COTTER PIN (1).
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (16) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06AAB1) to the heads of the bolts (6) and the nuts (2).
   (17) Install the applicable MLG door assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-11-400-001).

B. Lubrication
   (1) Lubricate the applicable door hinge connection points (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-32-640-001).

C. Operational Test
   (1) Do an operational test of the main landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-710-002).
Subtask 32-12-00-420-062-A
D. Installation of the Secondary Hinged Fairing and Attachments
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
   (1) Remove the applicable fixed fairing assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-14-000-001).
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.
   (4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed components are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Put the actuating rod (74) between the lugs of the transfer block (80).
   (6) Install the threaded insert (81), the spacer (76), the pin (77), the washer (78) and the bolt (79) to the transfer block (80).
   (7) Install the nut (75), the bonding strap (84), the washer (82) and the bolt (83) to the transfer block (80) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (8) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the heads of the bolts (79) and (83) and the nut (75).
   (9) Install the packer (72), the shim (71), the hinged fairing mounting plate (66), the washer (70) and loosely install the nut (68).
   (10) Install the screws (67) and loosely install the nuts (73).
   (11) Hold the mounting plate (66) in the position identified before removal.
   (12) Tighten the nuts (73) and the nut (68).
   (13) Safety the nut (68) with a new AIPC 57-26-05-36-030 COTTER PIN (69) or AIPC 57-26-85-36-120 COTTER PIN (69).
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (14) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06AAB1) to the heads of the screws (67) and the nuts (68) and (73).
   (15) Install the applicable secondary-hinged-fairing attachment (Ref. AMM TASK 57-26-21-400-001).
   (16) Install the applicable secondary hinged fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-13-400-001).

E. Installation of the MLG Fixed Fairing Assembly and Attachments
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed components are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Remove and discard the cotter pin (51) from the nut (50).
   (5) Remove the nut (50), the washer (49) and the bolt (48) from the bracket (46).
   (6) Install the bonding strap (47), the bolt (48), the washer (49) and the nut (50) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (7) Safety the nut (50) with a new AIPC 32-11-11-80-090 COTTER PIN (51).
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (8) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06AAB1) to the head of the bolt (48) and the nut (50).
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (9) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (53) and (56).
   (10) Remove the bolt (56) and the washer (55) from the bracket (52).
   (11) Install the bonding strap (54), the washer (55) and the bolt (56) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (12) Safety the bolts (53) and (56) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (13) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) to the heads of the bolts (53) and (56).
   (14) Install the fixed fairing assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-14-400-002).

E. Installation of the MLG Fixed Fairing Assembly and Attachments
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed components are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Remove and discard the cotter pin (51) from the nut (50).
   (5) Remove the nut (50), the washer (49) and the bolt (48) from the bracket (46).
   (6) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Hydraulic (Material No.06LDG6) to the shank and the threads of the bolt (48).
   (7) Install the bonding strap (47), the bolt (48), the washer (49) and the nut (50) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (8) TORQUE the nut (50) to between 1.8 and 0.9 m.daN (159.29 and 79.65 lbf.in ) T.
   (9) Safety the nut (50) with a new
AIPC 32-11-11-80-090 COTTER PIN (51) or AIPC 32-11-85-80-090 COTTER PIN (51).
   (10) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay Landing Gear (Material No.
06AAC5) to the nut (50), the washer (49) and the head of the bolt (48).
   (11) Remove and discard the 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - from the bolts (53) and (56).
   (12) Remove the bolt (56) and the washer (55) from the bracket (52).
   (13) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Hydraulic (Material No.06LDG6) to the shank and the threads of the bolt (56).
   (14) Install the bonding strap (54), the washer (55) and the bolt (56) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (15) TORQUE the bolt (56) to between 2.9 and 2.7 m.daN (21.39 and 19.91 lbf.ft ) T.
   (16) Safety the bolts (53) and (56) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (17) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay Landing Gear (Material No.
06AAC5) to:
  • The head of the bolts (53) and (56)
  • The washer (55).
   (18) Install the fixed fairing assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-14-400-002).

E. Installation of the MLG Fixed Fairing Assembly and Attachments
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
CAUTION: DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACES. THE COMPONENTS ARE MADE OF CARBONFIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area.

   (9) Safety the nut (50) with a new
AIPC 32-11-11-80-090 COTTER PIN (51) or AIPC 32-11-85-80-090 COTTER PIN (51).
   (10) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay Landing Gear (Material No.
06AAC5) to the nut (50), the washer (49) and the head of the bolt (48).
   (11) Remove and discard the 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - from the bolts (53) and (56).
   (12) Remove the bolt (56) and the washer (55) from the bracket (52).
   (13) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Hydraulic (Material No.06LDG6) to the shank and the threads of the bolt (56).
   (14) Install the bonding strap (54), the washer (55) and the bolt (56) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (15) TORQUE the bolt (56) to between 2.9 and 2.7 m.daN (21.39 and 19.91 lbf.ft ) T.
   (16) Safety the bolts (53) and (56) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
   (17) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay Landing Gear (Material No.
06AAC5) to:
  • The head of the bolts (53) and (56)
  • The washer (55).
   (18) Install the fixed fairing assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-14-400-002).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Close the access door 824.
   (2) Put the aircraft back to the ground configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
   (3) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
   (4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the access platform(s).
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
