4. Procedure
Subtask 30-73-55-140-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation of Component
   (1) Clean the potable water line with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

B. Installation of the Heater Element (Example)
   (1) Put the heater element (6) in position on the potable water line (5):
     (a) Make sure that the heater element is not bent in the Y-axis. The minimum bend radius in the X-axis is 25 mm (1 in.).
   (2) Install the Adhesive Tape-- Glass Cloth - (Material No.05TAB1) (9) in a ring shape to attach the heater element (6) on the potable water line (5).
   (3) Make sure that the heater element (6) is correctly attached on the potable water line (5).
   (4) Safety the two ends of the Adhesive Tape-- Glass Cloth - (Material No.05TAB1) (9) with the TIE WRAP(S) as an alternative to the shrinkable sleeve (8).
   (5) Connect the electrical connections as follows:
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Connect the electrical connections (2) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15.570-16.
   (6) If you removed the related temperature sensor, install it (Ref. AMM TASK 30-73-17-400-001), (Ref. AMM D/O 30-73-17-40), (Ref. AMM TASK 30-73-17-400-003), (Ref. AMM D/O 30-73-17-40), (Ref. AMM TASK 30-73-18-400-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 30-73-18-400-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 30-73-19-400-001).
   (7) Install the insulation (7) carefully on the potable water line (5), and safety it with the burr sleeve (1).
   (8) Make sure that the electrical connections (2) do not touch the insulation (7).
   (9) Install the insulation sleeve (4), and safety it with the burr sleeve (3).
CAUTION: WHEN YOU USE CABLE TIES, BE CAREFUL NOT TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INSULATION.
   (10) Attach the identification and warning labels and the electrical wires of the heater element (6) with the cable ties.
