WARNING: BEFORE YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE OHSC, MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE DISCONNECTED FROM THE OHSC. IF AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IS CONNECTED, THERE IS A RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK TO THE PERSONNEL.

3. Job Set-up
Subtask 25-24-41-860-050-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001)
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (6) Make sure that the OHSC is empty.
   (7) Make sure that the ceiling panels adjacent to the OHSC are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
   (8) Make sure that the cove light panels adjacent to the OHSC are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
   (9) Make sure that the related cabin lights are removed. Refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 33-21-00-00) to know which cabin lights are installed.
   (10) Make sure that the filler panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-25-11-000-001).
   (11) Make sure that the emergency oxygen containers are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).
   (12) Make sure that the passenger service/information units are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-45-000-001).
   (13) Make sure that the passenger reading light-panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-64-000-001).
   (14) Make sure that the individual air-outlet panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 21-24-19-000-001).
   (15) Make sure that the movable class divider is removed, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-43-000-802).
   (16) Make sure that the video control center is removed, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 23-36-11-000-001).

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-24-41-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the 2,3 and 4-Frame Stowage Compartments
   (1) Install the upper attachments.
     (a) Put the stowage compartment in position and install the pins (7) and (10) (Ref. Detail "A" and "B") or/and the screws (24), (36) and the washers (25), (26) and (28) (Ref. Detail "H" and "J").
NOTE: You must install the washers as recorded in the removal procedure.
     (b) Install the washers (8) and the split-rings (9) and/or the washers (25), (26) and the nuts (27).
   (2) Install the lower attachments.
     (a) Install the screws (37), (41) and (42), the washers (38), (39) and (43) and the nuts (40).
     (b) Put the turnbuckles in position and install the pins (18) and (21), the washers (19) and the lock-pins (20).
     (c) Install the screws (29), the washers (30), (31) and the nuts (32).
     (d) Put the bonding-strap (6) in position and install the screw (46), the washer (47) and the nut (48). (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802)
     (e) Install the panel (2) on the attachment rail (1) and push it onto the handrail.
     (f) If necessary, connect the hoses (4) and install the clamps (3).
NOTE: The cabin sensor temperature casing (3) is installed between two overhead stowage compartments (1) and (2). If you install one or more of these overhead stowage compartments (1) and/or (2), do these steps:
     (g) Connect the hose (6) to the outlet pipe of the cabin temperature sensor (4) and tighten the clamp (5).
     (h) Install the screen (8), the screws (7) on the sidewalls of the overhead stowage compartments (1) and (2).

B. Installation of the 1-Frame Stowage Compartments/Spacer Bins
   (1) Install the upper attachments.
     (a) Put the stowage/spacer bin in position and install the pin (7) (Ref. Detail "B"), the screws (24) (Ref. Detail "G") and (36) (Ref. Detail "A") and the washers (25), (26) and (28).
NOTE: You must install the washers as recorded in the removal procedure.
     (b) Install the washers (8), (25) and (26), the split-ring (9) and the nut(s) (27).
     (c) Install the screws (44) and the washers (45).
   (2) Install the lower attachments.
     (a) Install the screws (37), the washers (38) and (39) and the nuts (40).
     (b) Put the turnbuckles in position and install the pins (18), the washers (19) and the pin-locks (20).
     (c) Install the screws (51), the washers (52) and (53) and the nuts (54).
     (d) Put the bonding-strap (6) in position and install the screw (46), the washer (47) and the nut (48) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 25-24-41-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Installation of the 2, 3 and 4-Frame Stowage Compartments
   (1) Install the upper attachments.
     (a) Put the stowage compartment in position and install the pins (6) and (9) (Ref. Detail "A" and "B") and/or the screws (33), the washers (30), (31) and (32) (Ref. Detail "L").
NOTE: The washers (31) must be installed as recorded in the removal procedure.
     (b) Install the washers (7) and the split-rings (8) (Ref. Detail "A"), the split-rings (8) (Ref. Detail "B") and/or the washers (28), (29) and the nut (27) (Ref. Detail "L").
   (2) Install the lower attachments.
     (a) Install the screws (19), the washers (18) and the brackets (17), (20) and (34) (Ref. Detail "F" "G" and "H").
     (b) Put the turnbuckles (14) in position and install the pins (13), the washers (15) and the lock-pins (16) (Ref. Detail "D", "E", "F", "G", "H" and "J").
     (c) Put the turnbuckles (22) in position and close the clip (21). (Ref. Detail "E", "F", and "H").
     (d) Install the screws (10), the washers (11) and the bracket (12) (Ref. Detail "C").
     (e) Put the bonding-strap (24) in position and install the screw (23), the washer (25) and the nut (26) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (f) Install the panel (2) on the attachment rail (1) and push it into the handrail.
     (g) If necessary, remove the plug blanking from the hoses (4), connect the hoses (4) and install the clamps (3).
     (h) Close the stowage compartment door (5).
NOTE: The cabin sensor temperature casing (3) is installed between two overhead stowage compartments (1) and (2). If you install one or more of these overhead stowage compartments (1) and/or (2), do these steps:
     (i) Remove the plug blanking from the hose (6).
     (j) Connect the hose (6) to the outlet pipe of the cabin temperature sensor (4) and tighten the clamp (5).
     (k) Install the screen (8), the screws (7) on the sidewalls of the overhead stowage compartments (1) and (2).

D. Installation of the 1-Frame Stowage Compartments/Spacer Bins
   (1) Install the upper attachments.
     (a) Put the stowage/spacer bin in position and install the pin (20) and/or the washers (4), (5) and (6) and bolt (7).
NOTE: Install the washers as recorded in the removal procedure.
     (b) Install the washers (19) and the split-ring (18) and/or the washer (2), (3) and the nut (1).
     (c) Install the screws (8), the washers (9) and the brackets (10).
   (2) Install the lower attachments.
     (a) Install the screws (13), the washers (12) and the brackets (11).
     (b) Put the turnbuckles (16) in position and install the pins (17), the washers (15) and the lock-pins (14).
     (c) Put the bonding-strap (22) in position and install the screw (21), the washer (23) and the nut (24) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 25-24-41-420-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
E. Installation of the 2, 3 and 4-Frame Stowage Compartments
   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Make sure that all thread pins (10) are correctly installed and in the correct condition. If necessary, replace them.
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (3) Carefully put the stowage compartment (1) in position.
   (4) Install and lock the clips (15) to connect the stowage compartment (1) to the tie rods (16).
   (5) Put the tie rods (11) in position and install the pins (12), the washers (13) and the lock-pins (14).
   (6) Put the washers (9) in position and loosely install the nuts (8).
   (7) Open the doors (3).
   (8) Install the pins (6), the washers (4) and the split-rings (5).
   (9) If applicable, install the screw (22), the washer (21), the shims (23), the spacers (24) and the nut (25).
   (10) Tighten the nut (25).
   (11) Install the pins (7), the washers (4) and the split-rings (5).
   (12) Tighten the nuts (8).
   (13) Connect the related cabin temperature sensor:
     (a) Remove the blanking plugs from the hoses.
     (b) Connect the hose (6) to the cabin temperature sensor (4) and tighten the clamp (5).
     (c) Install the cover (8) with the screws (7) on the overhead stowage compartments (1) and (2).
     (d) Tighten the screws (7).
   (14) Close the doors (3).
   (15) Remove the blanking plugs from the hoses.
   (16) Install the hoses (26) and tighten the clamps (27).
   (17) Install the screws (17), the bonding straps (20), the washers (19) and the nuts (18).
   (18) Tighten the nuts (18) and do the bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
   (19) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (20) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (21) Connect the electrical connectors (30).
   (22) If installed, connect the electrical connectors (31).
   (23) Put the cables (29) in position and install new CABLE TIES (28).
   (24) Install the cover (2) on the stowage compartment (1) and push it into the handrail.
Subtask 25-24-41-420-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
F. Installation of the 1-Frame Stowage Compartments
   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Make sure that all thread pins (12) are correctly installed and in the correct condition. If necessary, replace them.
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (3) Carefully put the stowage compartment (1) in position.
   (4) Put the tie rods (22) in position and install the pins (21), the washers (23) and the lock-pins (24).
   (5) Put the washers (16) in position and loosely install the nuts (15).
   (6) Put the washers (13) in position and loosely install the nuts (14).
   (7) Open the doors (3).
   (8) Install the pins (11), the washers (9) and the split-rings (10).
   (9) If applicable, install the screw (5), the washer (4), the shims (6), the spacers (7) and the nut (8).
   (10) Tighten the nut (8).
   (11) Close the doors (3).
   (12) Tighten the nuts (15) and (14).
   (13) Install the screws (17), the bonding straps (20), the washers (19) and the nuts (18).
   (14) Tighten the nuts (18) and do the bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
   (15) If a handrail light is installed:
     (a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (c) Put the cable (25) in position and connect the electrical connector (26).
   (16) Install the cover (2) on the stowage compartment (1) and push it into the handrail.
Subtask 25-24-41-420-050-F ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
G. Installation of the 2, 3 and 4-Frame XL OHSC
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Carefully hold the stowage compartment (2) in position.
   (3) Open the stowage compartment doors (1).
   (4) Install the pins (10) and (37) to install the stowage compartment (2) on the brackets (7) and (38).
   (5) Install the washers (8) and (36) and the split-rings (9) and (35).
   (6) Install the bolt (47) with the washers (46), (43) and (44) and the nut (42) to install the stowage compartment (2) on the bracket (45).
   (7) Put the tie rod (15) in position and install the pin (16) and the lock pin (12) on the bracket (17).
   (8) Install the washers (13), the nuts (14) and the bracket (17) on the the bolts (11).
   (9) Put the tie rod (33) in position and install the pin (29) and the lock pin (34).
   (10) Install the washers (31), the nuts (32) with the bracket (30) on bolts (28).
   (11) Put the tie rod (3) in position and install the pin (4), the washer (5) and the lock pin (6).
   (12) Make sure that the tie rod (3) is installed without tension.
   (13) If necessary adjust the tie rods (33), (15) and (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-820-801).
   (14) Turn the brackets (26) with the adjustment screws (25) and install the screws (24) on the brackets (26).
   (15) If applicable, connect the related cabin temperature sensor:
F Cabin Temperature Sensor ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the hoses.
     (b) Connect the hose (3) with the clamp (2) to the temperature sensor (1).
   (16) Connect the air outlet:
     (a) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the hoses.
     (b) Connect the hose (41) with the clamp (40) to the hose (39).
   (17) Install the bonding strap (20), the screw (18), the washers (19) and the nut (21).
   (18) Tighten the nut (21) .
   (19) Do the bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
   (20) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (21) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (22) Connect the electrical connector (27).
   (23) Close the flap (23) and tighten the screw (22).
   (24) Close the stowage compartment doors (1).

H. Installation of the 1-Frame XL OHSC
F 1-Frame XL Stowage Compartments ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Carefully hold the stowage compartment (1) in position.
   (3) Open the stowage compartment door (2).
   (4) Install the pin (35) to install the stowage compartment (1) on the bracket (36).
   (5) Install the washers (34) and the split-rings (33).
   (6) Install the pins (13) with the washers (15) and the split-rings (16) on the brackets (14).
   (7) Install the bolt (22) with the washers (21), (18) and (19) and the nut (17) to install the stowage compartment (1) on the bracket (20).
   (8) Install the screws (30), the washers (31) and the bearings (32) on the stowage compartment (1).
   (9) Put the tie rod (27) in position and install the pin (28) and the lock pin (26).
   (10) Install the washers (24), the nuts (25) with the bracket (29) on the bolts (23).
   (11) Put the tie rod (11) in position and install the pin (12) and the lock pin (10).
   (12) Put the tie rod (8) in position and install the pin (7) and the lock pin (9).
   (13) If necessary adjust the tie rods (27), (11) and (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-20-00-820-801).
   (14) Install the washers (5), the nuts (6) with the bracket (4) on the bolts (3).
   (15) Turn the brackets (43) with the adjustment screws (42) and install the screws (41).
   (16) Put the bonding strap (39) in position and install the screw (37), the washers (38) and the nut (40) on the stowage compartment (1).
   (17) Tighten the nut (40) .
   (18) Do the bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
   (19) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (20) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (21) Connect the electrical connector (46).
   (22) Close the flap (45) and tighten the screw (44).
   (23) Close the stowage compartment door (2).

I. Installation of the Spacer Bin FR38/FR39

   (1) Put the spacer bin in position and install the pin (7), the screw (24) and the washers (25), (26) and (28).
NOTE: You must install the washers as recorded in the removal procedure.
   (2) Install the washers (8) and (28), the split-ring (9) and the nut (27).
   (3) Install the screws (22), the washers (23) and (49) and the nuts (50).
   (4) Put the turnbuckles in position and install the pins (18), the washers (19) and the pin-locks (20).
   (5) Install the screws (29), the washers (30) and (31) and the nuts (32).
   (6) Put the bonding-strap (6) in position and install the screw (46), the washer (47) and the nut (48) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

I. Installation of the Spacer Bin

   (1) Put the spacer bin in position and install the pin (13), the washers (12) and the split-ring (11).
   (2) Install the screws (9), the washers (10) and the bracket (4).
   (3) Put the turnbuckles (7) in position and install the pin (8), the washer (6) and the lock-pin (5).
   (4) Install the screws (2), the washers (1) and the bracket (3).
   (5) Put the bonding-strap (16) in position and install the screw (17), the washer (15) and the nut (14) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

J. Installation of the Adhesive Tape

   (1) Make sure that the area is clean, dry and free from grease.
   (2) Attach the tape Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) (1).
   (3) Attach the tape Adhesive Tape-Cellular material Polyimide - (Material No.05THD1) (2).

K. Adjustment of the Overhead Stowage Compartments
   (1) If necessary, adjust the OHSC (Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-00-710-002).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the emergency oxygen container (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-400-001).
   (3) Install the filler panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-25-11-400-001).
   (4) Install the related cabin lights. Refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 33-21-00-00) to know which cabin lights are installed.
   (5) Install the cove light panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-400-001).
   (6) Install the ceiling panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-400-001).

   (4) Install the passenger service/information units (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-45-400-001).
   (5) Remove the stepladder.
   (6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

   (4) Remove the stepladder.
