C. Preparation for the Test
   (1) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that:
  • The PROBE/WINDOW HEAT pushbutton in the cockpit on panel 25VU is released (the ON legend is off).
  • The cockpit door is closed and the engines do not operate.
   (3) Push the MAIN OFF membrane switch on Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH to make sure that all the entrance and cabin lights are off.
4. Procedure
Subtask 33-21-00-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Test of all the Cabin Lighting from the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP).
   (1) Do this Test.

1.On the Forward Attendant Panel 120RH:
  • push the MAIN ON membrane switch.
  • push the MAIN OFF membrane switch.
At the forward and aft entrance and in the cabin.
  • all the entrance and cabin lights come on.
  • all the entrance and cabin lights go off.

A. Operational Test
NOTE: The light in the membrane switch is amber when the membrane switch is in the off position. The light changes to green when the membrane switch is in the on position.

In the cabin:
  • The fluorescent tubes in the forward entry area decrease to 10% intensity.

F. Operational Test
WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO THIS TEST, MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE THE COVERS FROM THE PITOT PROBES AND ANGLE-OF-ATTACK SENSORS. THE PROBE AND SENSOR HEATERS BECOME VERY HOT DURING THE TEST AND CAN CAUSE THE COVERS TO MELT. DO NOT TOUCH THE PROBES AND SENSORS AND DO NOT PUT THE COVERS BACK ON THEM UNTIL THEY ARE COOL. THE PROBES AND SENSORS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AFTER THE TEST IS COMPLETED AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU OPEN CIRCUIT BREAKERS 1JH AND 3JH2 BEFORE YOU OPEN CIRCUIT BREAKERS 2KS2 AND 4KS2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE, YOU WILL START CONTINUOUS IGNITION AND THERE IS A RISK OF ELECTROCUTION.
   (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to touch the pitot probes and angle-of-attack sensors.
