C. Preparation for the Test
(1) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that:

The PROBE/WINDOW HEAT pushbutton in the cockpit on panel 25VU is released (the ON legend is off).
The cockpit door is closed and the engines do not operate.

(3) Push the MAIN OFF membrane switch on Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH to make sure that all the entrance and cabin lights are off.

4. Procedure
Subtask 33-21-00-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Test of all the Cabin Lighting from the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP).
(1) Do this Test.

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the Forward Attendant Panel 120RH: push the MAIN ON membrane switch. push the MAIN OFF membrane switch.	At the forward and aft entrance and in the cabin. all the entrance and cabin lights come on. all the entrance and cabin lights go off.

A. Operational Test

NOTE: The light in the membrane switch is amber when the membrane switch is in the off position. The light changes to green when the membrane switch is in the on position.

(1) Do this test of the cabin lighting from the Flight Attendant Panel (FAP):

THE PROBE AND SENSOR HEATERS BECOME VERY HOT DURING THE TEST AND CAN CAUSE THE COVERS TO MELT. DO NOT TOUCH THE PROBES AND SENSORS AND DO NOT PUT THE COVERS BACK ON THEM UNTIL THEY ARE COOL. THE PROBES AND SENSORS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AFTER THE TEST IS COMPLETED AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.

(2) Do this dimming test for the forward left entrance-lighting:

4.On circuit breaker panel 121VU:	In the cockpit, on circuit breaker panel 121VU:
Open circuit breaker ENGINE/IGN/ENG2/SYS B, 3JH2.	Circuit breaker ENGINE/IGN/ENG2/SYS B, 3JH2 is open.
5.On circuit breaker panels 49VU and 121VU:	On circuit breaker panels 49VU and 121VU:
Open circuit breaker ENGINE/2/FADEC A/AND EIU 2, 2KS2. Open circuit breaker ENGINE/ENG2/FADEC B/AND EIU 2, 4KS2.	Circuit breaker ENGINE/2/FADEC A/AND EIU 2, 2KS2 is open. Circuit breaker ENGINE/ENG2/FADEC B/AND EIU 2, 4KS2 is open.
6.In the cabin:	At the forward entrance: The forward left entrance-light decreases to the same light intensity as DIM2.
Close the cockpit door.	The forward left entrance-light becomes bright.
Open the cockpit door.	The forward left entrance-light decreases again to the same light intensity as DIM2.
7.In the cockpit, on circuit breaker panels 49VU and 121VU:	At the forward entrance:
Close circuit breaker ENGINE/2/FADEC A/AND EIU 2, 2KS2. Close circuit breaker ENGINE/ENG2/FADEC B/AND EIU 2, 4KS2.	The forward left entrance-light becomes bright.
8.On circuit breaker panel 121VU:	On circuit breaker panel 121VU:
Close circuit breaker ENGINE/IGN/ENG2/SYS B, 3JH2.	Circuit breaker ENGINE/IGN/ENG2/SYS B, 3JH2 is closed.
9.On overhead circuit-breaker panel 49VU:	On overhead circuit-breaker panel 49VU:
Close circuit breaker ENGINE/1 AND 2/IGN/SYS A, 1JH.	Circuit breaker ENGINE/1 AND 2/IGN/SYS A, 1JH is closed.
10.On FAP 120RH:	At the forward entrance:
Push the 'ENTRY FWD BRT' button.	The forward entrance lights go off.

(1) Do this test of the cabin decompression simulation:

	In the cabin and the entrance areas:
Ground pin A11 of connector 11HL-AA.	The lights come on with 100% intensity.
Disconnect the ground cable from pin A11 of connector 11HL-AA.	The lights stay on with 100% intensity.
	In the avionics compartment:
Install 'CABIN PRESSURE 1' controller 11HL in 95VU.	'CABIN PRESSURE 1' controller 11HL in 95VU is installed.
3.On FAP 120RH:	In the cabin and the entrance areas:
Push the buttons that follow: 'DIM1' 'ENTRY FWD/DIM1' 'ENTRY AFT/DIM1'.	The lights decrease to 50% intensity.
4.In the avionics compartment:	In the avionics compartment:
Remove 'CABIN PRESSURE 2' controller 12HL from 96VU.	'CABIN PRESSURE 2' controller 12HL from 96VU is removed.
	In the cabin and the entrance areas:
Ground pin A11 of connector 12HL-AA.	The lights come on with 100% intensity.
Disconnect the ground cable from pin A11 of connector 12HL-AA.	The lights stay on with 100% intensity.
	In the avionics compartment:
Install 'CABIN PRESSURE 2' controller 12HL in 96VU.	'CABIN PRESSURE 2' controller 12HL in 96VU is installed.

Remove 'CABIN PRESSURE 2' controller 12HL from 96VU.	'CABIN PRESSURE 2' controller 12HL from 96VU is removed.
	In the cabin and the entrance areas:
Ground pin A11 of connector 12HL-AA.	The lights come on with 100% intensity.
Disconnect the ground cable from pin A11 of connector 12HL-AA.	The lights stay on with 100% intensity.
	In the avionics compartment:
Install 'CABIN PRESSURE 2' controller 12HL in 96VU.	'CABIN PRESSURE 2' controller 12HL in 96VU is installed.
