Subtask 23-73-45-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Passenger Service Unit (PSU)
(2) Open the Passenger Service Unit (PSU) (4):
(b) Carefully push the PSU (4) in direction to the aisle. This unlocks the PSU from the inboard mounting rail (2).
(c) Let the PSU come down slowly with one side.
(3) Disconnect the electrical connectors:
(a) Open the cable straps and cut the cable ties that fixes the cables outside the PSU.
(b) Disconnect the electrical connector (5).
(c) Put a blanking cap on the disconnected electrical connector (5).
(d) Disconnect the connected plugs (1) with the M15570-20 INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL ESPM 2056410.
(4) Pull down the rubber string (3) from the outboard rail (2).
(5) Lift and disengage the PSU (4) from the rail (2) and then remove it.
(6) If you want to replace the PSU with a new PSU, remove the reading light lenses (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-64-000-802).
NOTE: If you want to remove the Pax Call Switch-Cards, please refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-38-000-802).
NOTE: If you want to remove the Reading Light Switch-Cards, please refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-38-000-803).
(1) If necessary, remove the filler panel of the Passenger Service/Information Unit (PSIU) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-25-11-000-001). (2) Open the Passenger Service Unit (PSU) (4):
NOTE: It is recommended to open the PSU from the inboard side.
(a) Carefully bend down the rubber string (3) from the inboard mounting rail. (b) Carefully push the PSU (4) in direction to the aisle. This unlocks the PSU from the inboard mounting rail (2).
(c) Let the PSU come down slowly with one side.
(3) Disconnect the electrical connectors:
(a) Open the cable straps and cut the cable ties that fixes the cables outside the PSU.
(b) Disconnect the electrical connector (5).
(c) Put a blanking cap on the disconnected electrical connector (5).
(d) Disconnect the connected plugs (1) with the M15570-20 INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL ESPM 2056410.
(4) Pull down the rubber string (3) from the outboard rail (2).
(5) Lift and disengage the PSU (4) from the rail (2) and then remove it.
(6) If you want to replace the PSU with a new PSU, remove the reading light lenses (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-64-000-802).
