Subtask 23-36-34-860-051-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the doors of the overhead stowage compartment and the VCC (8) are open.
(3) Make sure that the closeout panel (2) is removed.
Subtask 23-36-34-865-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the doors of the overhead stowage compartment and the VCC (8) are open.
(3) Make sure that the closeout panel (2) is removed.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 23-36-34-420-050-K ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the System Control Unit (SCU)
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Install the SCU (3) on the adaptor plate (4) with the screws (7).
(4) Carefully lift the adaptor plate (4) together with the SCU (3) into the overhead stowage compartment in front of the the video control center and move the adaptor plate (4) together with the SCU (3) into the rack (1).
(5) Tighten the knurled screws (2).
(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connectors (6) to the SCU (3).
(9) Install the cover (5).
Subtask 23-36-34-420-050-P ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Install the SCU (3) on the adaptor plate (4) with the screws (7).
(4) Carefully lift the adaptor plate (4) together with the SCU (3) into the overhead stowage compartment in front of the the video control center and move the adaptor plate (4) together with the SCU (3) into the rack (1).
(5) Tighten the knurled screws (2).
(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connectors (6) to the SCU (3).
(9) Install the cover (5).
A. Installation of the Control Panel (CP)
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Attach the mounting plate (4) to the CP (1) with the screws (5).
(5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Connect the electrical connectors (6) to the CP (1).
(8) Carefully put the CP (1) assembly into the installation position in the VCC (8).
(9) Tighten the captive screws (7), to attach the mounting plate (4) to the VCC (8).
(10) Install the bonding cable (9) and the nut (10), to the bonding stud on the mounting plate (4).
(11) Make sure that the electrical bonding is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 23-36-34-865-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4) Attach the mounting plate (4) to the CP (1) with the screws (5).
(5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:
DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE COMPONENT DURING THE PROCEDURE. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO COMPONENT.
(6) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.(7) Connect the electrical connectors (6) to the CP (1).
(8) Carefully put the CP (1) assembly into the installation position in the VCC (8).
(9) Tighten the captive screws (7), to attach the mounting plate (4) to the VCC (8).
(10) Install the bonding cable (9) and the nut (10), to the bonding stud on the mounting plate (4).
(11) Make sure that the electrical bonding is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the door of the left forward stowage compartment between FR20 and FR23.
(3) Close the flap on the front end of the forward stowage compartment.

(2) Close the door of the left forward stowage compartment between FR20 and FR23.
(3) Close the flap on the front end of the forward stowage compartment.
A. Close Access
(1) De-energize the CIDS (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-862-001).
(2) Install the closeout panel (2):
(a) Put the panel (2) in position on the VCC (8).
(b) Tighten the captive screws (3).
(3) Close the applicable stowage compartment and VCC (8) doors.
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
Subtask 23-36-34-862-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) De-energize the CIDS (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-862-001).
(2) Install the closeout panel (2):
(a) Put the panel (2) in position on the VCC (8).
(b) Tighten the captive screws (3).
(3) Close the applicable stowage compartment and VCC (8) doors.
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
