(2) Make sure that the electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

(1) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the aircraft systems.

B. Inspection of the Fuselage and the Nose Landing Gear Well

A.	Examine the external fuselage and the skin panels for distorsion, cracks, pulled or torn fasteners and damaged paintwork. If you find damage:	X

A.	Examine: - the hinge fittings of the nose gear, - the attach fittings of the actuating cylinder, - the drag strut and the attach fittings, for distortion, cracks and damaged paintwork.	X
B.	Examine the gear well roof and the forward, aft and side wall structure for distortion, cracks and damaged paintwork. If you find damage:	X
	- in the avionics compartment, examine the nose-gear well roof and wall structure for distortion, cracks and damaged paintwork.		X
C.	Examine all the components, the hoses, the pipes, the electrical looms, the control rods, the bellcranks and their mounts for: - distortion,cracks,rupture and oil leakage.	X

	(a) Remove all the panels of the belly fairing and examine the fuselage skin for: - buckling, - loose rivets, - cracked or flaking paint.			X
	(b) Examine the pipes, the ducts, the electrical looms and their mounts for: - fluid leakage, distortion, rupture, breaks, cracks. Make sure that safety devices are correctly attached and in the correct condition.			X
2.	MLG Wells
A.	Examine the diagonal frames at the edges of the wheel wells, their junctions at FR44 and the adjacent areas for: - distortion, cracks, pulled or torn fasteners and damaged paintwork.	X
B.	Examine the attachment of the MLG locking system for distortion. If you find damage:	X
	(1) Examine: (a) All the components, the pipes, the ducts, the electrical looms. (b) The control cables, the pulleys, the transmission systems and their mountings for: - distortion, cracks, rupture, misalignment, fluid leakage, pulled or torn fasteners, damaged paintwork and the condition of the safety devices. 	(3) Examine these areas for distortion, cracks or damaged paintwork: - The main-gear pintle fitting - The main gear support - The actuator bracket - The sidestay bracket. If you find damage:		X
	(4) Get access to the wing tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002). Examine these areas for distortion, cracks, pulled or damaged fasteners, damaged paintwork or sealant fillets: - The spars - The ribs - The stringer - The engine pylon mountings.			X
	(5) Close access to the wing tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
B.	Examine all the pipes and the components for fluid leakage or damage. Make sure that they are correctly aligned and that the attachments are not damaged.	X
C.	Examine the electrical looms, the flap transmission system and their mountings for: - Cracks - Pulled or damaged fasteners - Damaged paintwork - The correct condition of the safety devices. Make sure that they are correctly aligned.	X
2.	Wing skins
A.	Examine the external surface of the wing skin panels for: - Distortion - Cracks - Pulled or damaged fasteners - Damaged paintwork - Fuel leaks. If you find damage:	X
	(1) Get access to the wing tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).		X
	(2) Examine these areas for cracks, distortion, pulled or damaged fasteners, damaged paintwork or sealant fillets: - The ribs - The spars - The stringers - The engine pylon mountings.		X
	(3) Close access to the wing tanks (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).

H. Inspection of the Pylon

	(2) Examine: - all the components, - the pipes, - the ducts, - the electrical cable looms, - the control cable pulleys and their mounts, - the fire protection system for distortion, cracks, rupture and breaks. Make sure that the safety devices are in the correct condition and that they are correctly attached. If you find other damage:		X
	- Remove all the panels, open the engine cowls and examine all of the main structure.			X

I. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install and/or close all the access doors and the panels applicable to this inspection.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Close the main gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(6) Close the nose gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).

J. Retraction of the Flaps
(1) Make sure the flaps are retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).

K. Tests of the System

	- Do an operational test of the main landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-710-002).		X
3.	If you found damage on the wing:
	- Do an operational test of the flaps and the spoilers (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-00-710-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-64-00-710-001). Make sure that they move smoothly and freely.		X
4.	Do a BITE test of the proximity detectors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-69-00-740-001).	X
