Installation of the Main Door Assy
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. THE OPERATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SPECIFIC TRACKING AND CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS OF REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS. INCORRECT MAINTENANCE OF THESE COMPONENTS CAN CAUSE A RISK FOR THE FLIGHT SAFETY.

Subtask 32-22-11-860-050-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(3) Make sure that the doors of the nose landing gear are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the applicable NLG door.
4. Procedure(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(3) Make sure that the doors of the nose landing gear are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the applicable NLG door.
Subtask 32-22-11-020-053-A
A. Preparation before Installation
(1) Make sure that the bushes (11) and (12) are in the correct position.
(2) Lubricate the bolts (6) and (10) with Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) .
Subtask 32-22-11-420-050-A (1) Make sure that the bushes (11) and (12) are in the correct position.
(2) Lubricate the bolts (6) and (10) with Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) .
B. Installation of the Main Door
(2) Install the buses (9), the bolts (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (4).
(3) Tighten the nuts (4).
(4) Safety the nuts (4) with the new AIPC 32-22-01-02-010 COTTER PINS (3) or AIPC 32-22-81-02-030 COTTER PINS (3).
(5) Install the bolt (10), the washer (13) and the nut (15).
(6) Tighten the nut (15).
(7) Safety the nut (15) with the new AIPC 32-22-01-02-010 COTTER PIN (14) or AIPC 32-22-81-02-030 COTTER PIN (14).
(8) Put the bonding braids (7) in position and install the bolts (8) and the nuts (2).
(9) Tighten the nuts (2).
Subtask 32-22-11-867-050-A WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(1) Put the door (1) in position. (2) Install the buses (9), the bolts (6), the washers (5) and the nuts (4).
(3) Tighten the nuts (4).
(4) Safety the nuts (4) with the new AIPC 32-22-01-02-010 COTTER PINS (3) or AIPC 32-22-81-02-030 COTTER PINS (3).
(5) Install the bolt (10), the washer (13) and the nut (15).
(6) Tighten the nut (15).
(7) Safety the nut (15) with the new AIPC 32-22-01-02-010 COTTER PIN (14) or AIPC 32-22-81-02-030 COTTER PIN (14).
(8) Put the bonding braids (7) in position and install the bolts (8) and the nuts (2).
(9) Tighten the nuts (2).
C. Retract the NLG
(1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Lift the aircraft with jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(3) Retract the landing gear as slowly as possible (Ref. AMM TASK 32-30-00-867-001).
Subtask 32-22-11-220-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Lift the aircraft with jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(3) Retract the landing gear as slowly as possible (Ref. AMM TASK 32-30-00-867-001).
D. Check of the NLG Door Clearances
(1) Close the door (1) manually until it touches the forward stop (16).
(2) Hold the door (1) in closed position and measure dimensions Q, R, S, T, U, V and W.
(3) Make sure that:
(5) If necessary, adjust the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-820-001).
Subtask 32-22-11-220-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Close the door (1) manually until it touches the forward stop (16).
(2) Hold the door (1) in closed position and measure dimensions Q, R, S, T, U, V and W.
(3) Make sure that:
- Dimension Q is between 0.83 mm (0.0327 in.) and 2.83 mm (0.1114 in.).
- Dimension R is between 2.50 mm (0.0984 in.) and 5.50 mm (0.2165 in.).
- Dimension S is between 0 mm (0 in.) and 1.40 mm (0.0551 in.).
- Dimension T is between 4.00 mm (0.1575 in.) and 6.00 mm (0.2362 in.).
- Dimension U is between 8.50 mm (0.3346 in.) and 11.50 mm (0.4528 in.).
- Dimension V is between 5.50 mm (0.2165 in.) and 8.50 mm (0.3346 in.).
- Dimension W is between 7.50 mm (0.2953 in.) and 10.50 mm (0.4134 in.).
(5) If necessary, adjust the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-820-001).
D. Check of the NLG Door Clearances
(1) Close the door (1) manually until it touches the forward stop (16).
(2) Hold the door (1) in closed position and measure dimensions Q, R, S, T, U, V and W.
(3) Make sure that:

(5) If necessary, adjust the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-820-001).

(2) Hold the door (1) in closed position and measure:

- Mismatches X, A and B.
- Dimension P is between 7.00 mm (0.2756 in.) and 9.00 mm (0.3543 in.).
- Dimension Q is between 0.83 mm (0.0327 in.) and 2.83 mm (0.1114 in.).
- Dimension R is between 2.50 mm (0.0984 in.) and 5.50 mm (0.2165 in.).
- Dimension S is between 0 mm (0 in.) and 1.40 mm (0.0551 in.).
- Dimension T is between 4.00 mm (0.1575 in.) and 6.00 mm (0.2362 in.).
- Dimension U is between 0 mm (0 in.) and 3.00 mm (0.1181 in.).
- Dimension V is between 5.50 mm (0.2165 in.) and 8.50 mm (0.3346 in.).
- Dimension W is between 0 mm (0 in.) and 3.00 mm (0.1181 in.).
- Mismatch X is between -1.00 mm (-0.0394 in.) and 1.00 mm (0.0394 in.).
- Mismatch A is between -2.00 mm (-0.0787 in.) and 1.00 mm (0.0394 in.).
- Mismatch B is between -1.00 mm (-0.0394 in.) and 1.40 mm (0.0551 in.).
(5) If necessary, adjust the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-820-001).
E. Extend the NLG
(1) Extend the landing gear as slowly as possible (Ref. AMM TASK 32-30-00-867-002).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position.

F. Connection of the NLG Door Rod
(1) Installation of the NLG main door control rod (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-41-400-001).

G. Preparation for the Test
(1) Install the proximity sensors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-73-400-005).
(2) Lubricate the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-32-640-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the NLG doors:
(a) Operate the NLG doors manually to make sure that there is no interference in the linkage.
(b) Close the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
(5) Do a check of the NLG door gaps and mismatches (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-220-001).
Subtask 32-22-11-720-050-A (1) Install the proximity sensors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-73-400-005).
(2) Lubricate the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-32-640-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the NLG doors:
(a) Operate the NLG doors manually to make sure that there is no interference in the linkage.
(b) Close the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
(5) Do a check of the NLG door gaps and mismatches (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-220-001).
H. Functional Test
(1) Do the functional test of the NLG normal extension and retraction (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-720-003).

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
