Installation of the NLG Leg Door-Assembly
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. THE OPERATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SPECIFIC TRACKING AND CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS OF REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS. INCORRECT MAINTENANCE OF THESE COMPONENTS CAN CAUSE A RISK FOR THE FLIGHT SAFETY.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate:
4. Procedure(1) In the cockpit, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate:
- The landing-gear control lever on the right-center instrument panel (400VU)
- The steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O)
- The brake pedals.
Subtask 32-22-15-640-050-A
A. Prepare for the Installation.
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Lubricate the bolts and the nuts with Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) .
Subtask 32-22-15-420-050-A (1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Lubricate the bolts and the nuts with Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) .
NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).
B. Installation of the NLG Leg Door-Assembly
(1) Put the leg door (5) in position on its attachments.
(2) Install the bushes (8) and (10) on the fitting assembly (9) and on the leg door (5).
(3) Install the bolts (7).
(5) Put the rod (11) in position on its attachment on the leg door (5).
(6) Put the rod end of the link assembly (1) in position on the leg door (5).
(7) Install the bushes (3) on the leg door (5).
(8) Install the bolt (2).
Subtask 32-22-15-820-051-A (1) Put the leg door (5) in position on its attachments.
(2) Install the bushes (8) and (10) on the fitting assembly (9) and on the leg door (5).
(3) Install the bolts (7).
- Hold the bushes (8) and (10) during the installation of the bolts (7) to make sure that they do not fall.
(5) Put the rod (11) in position on its attachment on the leg door (5).
(6) Put the rod end of the link assembly (1) in position on the leg door (5).
(7) Install the bushes (3) on the leg door (5).
(8) Install the bolt (2).
- Hold the bushes (3) during the installation of the bolt (2) to make sure that they do not fall.
C. Adjustment of the Leg Door
(1) Adjust the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-820-001).
(2) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in ).
(3) Tighten the nuts (6).

(2) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in )
. (3) Tighten the nuts (6).
D. Functional test
(1) Do the functional test of the NLG normal extension and retraction (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-720-003).
5. Close-up(1) Do the functional test of the NLG normal extension and retraction (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-720-003).
Subtask 32-22-15-860-051-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
