Subtask 32-31-16-860-050-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001)
(2) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the NLG door actuating cylinder (2531GM).
(7) Make sure that the doors of the nose landing gear are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(8) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position in zone 123.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001)
(2) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
- on the panel 40VU in the cockpit,
- on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access door (197CB).
(6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the NLG door actuating cylinder (2531GM).
(7) Make sure that the doors of the nose landing gear are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(8) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position in zone 123.
Subtask 32-31-16-110-050-A
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the junction components with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) and dry with dry, filtered compressed air.
(2) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) on the nuts and bolts, specially the bolts (10) and (6).
Subtask 32-31-16-420-050-A (1) Clean the junction components with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) and dry with dry, filtered compressed air.
(2) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) on the nuts and bolts, specially the bolts (10) and (6).
NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.B. Installation of the NLG Door Actuating Cylinder
(1) Put the actuating cylinder in position and install the bolt (10).
(2) Make sure that the bush (15) is in position
(3) Install the washer (14) and the nut (13).
(4) TORQUE the nut (13) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(5) Safety the nut (13) with the new AIPC 32-31-01-03-010 COTTER PIN (12) or AIPC 32-31-81-03-010 COTTER PIN (12).
(6) Put the rod end in position and install the bolt (6) with the washer (7).
(7) Make sure that the bush (4) is in position.
(8) Install the washer (3), the new lockwasher (2) and the nut (1).
(9) TORQUE the nut (1) to between 1.43 and 1.17 m.daN (126.55 and 103.54 lbf.in )
with the 98D32303000000 ADAPTER-WRENCH KIT (98D32303000201).
(10) Safety the nut (1) with the new AIPC 32-31-01-03-070 LOCKWASHER (2) or AIPC 32-31-81-03-070 LOCKWASHER (2).
(11) Lubricate the attaching points of the actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-32-640-002).
Subtask 32-31-16-420-051-A (1) Put the actuating cylinder in position and install the bolt (10).
(2) Make sure that the bush (15) is in position
(3) Install the washer (14) and the nut (13).
(4) TORQUE the nut (13) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (5) Safety the nut (13) with the new AIPC 32-31-01-03-010 COTTER PIN (12) or AIPC 32-31-81-03-010 COTTER PIN (12).
(6) Put the rod end in position and install the bolt (6) with the washer (7).
(7) Make sure that the bush (4) is in position.
(8) Install the washer (3), the new lockwasher (2) and the nut (1).
(9) TORQUE the nut (1) to between 1.43 and 1.17 m.daN (126.55 and 103.54 lbf.in )
with the 98D32303000000 ADAPTER-WRENCH KIT (98D32303000201). (10) Safety the nut (1) with the new AIPC 32-31-01-03-070 LOCKWASHER (2) or AIPC 32-31-81-03-070 LOCKWASHER (2).
(11) Lubricate the attaching points of the actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-32-640-002).
C. Connection of the Hydraulic and Electrical Lines
(1) Remove the blanking plugs from the hydraulic lines (9) and (11).
(2) Connect the hydraulic lines (9) and (11).
(3) TORQUE the lines (9) and (11) to between 3 and 2 m.daN (22.12 and 14.75 lbf.ft )

Subtask 32-31-16-481-050-A (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the hydraulic lines (9) and (11).
(2) Connect the hydraulic lines (9) and (11).
(3) TORQUE the lines (9) and (11) to between 3 and 2 m.daN (22.12 and 14.75 lbf.ft )
. D. Lock the NLG Doors in the Open Position
(1) Make sure that the 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR are installed in the rigging holes of the left and right nose gear doors.
(a) If not, install the 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR in the rigging holes of the left and right nose gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
Subtask 32-31-16-941-052-A (1) Make sure that the 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR are installed in the rigging holes of the left and right nose gear doors.
(a) If not, install the 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR in the rigging holes of the left and right nose gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
E. Preparation for the Test
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the container below the NLG door actuating cylinder (2531GM).
(3) Make sure that the travel ranges of the NLG doors are clear.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 32-31-16-720-050-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the container below the NLG door actuating cylinder (2531GM).
(3) Make sure that the travel ranges of the NLG doors are clear.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
F. Functional Test
(1) Do 5 full DOOR CLOSE/DOOR OPEN cycles (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that there are no anomalies during these operations.
(3) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(4) Put the access platform in position below the NLG door actuating cylinder (2531GM).
(5) Make sure that there are no leaks from the disconnected line ends.
(6) If necessary, fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(7) Do the functional check of the NLG door actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-720-804).
5. Close-up(1) Do 5 full DOOR CLOSE/DOOR OPEN cycles (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that there are no anomalies during these operations.
(3) Open the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(4) Put the access platform in position below the NLG door actuating cylinder (2531GM).
(5) Make sure that there are no leaks from the disconnected line ends.
(6) If necessary, fill the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system to the correct level (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(7) Do the functional check of the NLG door actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-00-720-804).

A. Close Access
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Close the doors of the nose landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).

(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
