4. Procedure
Subtask 32-31-00-720-080-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Operational Check of the Safety Valve
WARNING: IF THE GROUND DOOR OPERATING-HANDLE MOVES AWAY FROM THE OPEN POSITION BUT THE RELATED DOOR(S) DOES(DO) NOT CLOSE, MOVE THE HANDLE BACK TO THE OPEN POSITION IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU DO NOT KEEP THE HANDLE IN THE OPEN POSITION ALL THE TIME, THE RELATED DOOR(S) CAN CLOSE SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
   (1) Do the troubleshooting procedure related to the maintenance message shown.
NOTE: During this check, the ECAM shows the warning L/G SYS DISAGREE, which you can ignore.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On panel 20VU:
  • Make sure that the ADIRS is set to the OFF position.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
2.Use the electric pump of the Yellow Hydraulic system to pressurize the Green Hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).

4.Move the applicable ground door-operating handle to the OPEN position.
The related MLG door opens.
5.Try to move the applicable ground door-operating handle to the CLOSE position.
The related MLG door will not close.
NOTE: The ground door-operating handle can move because of the remaining green hydraulic pressure, but the MLG door will not close. If the ground door-operating handle does move, set handle back to the open position.
6.Remove and discard the TIE WRAP(S).

7.Remove the 98F32304000000 TARGET-FALSE from:
  • Left MLG extension proximity-sensors 21GA
  • Right MLG extension proximity-sensors 20GA.
Safety valve 49GA is energized (valve open).
8.Move the applicable ground door-operating handle to the CLOSE position.
The related MLG door closes.
   (2) Do a reset of LGCIU-1 (5GA1) as follows:
     (a) Open the circuit breakers that follow:
  • 1GA
  • 52GA.
     (b) Wait for a minimum of 15 seconds.
     (c) Close the circuit breakers that follow:
