3. Job Set-up
Subtask 53-35-13-010-054-A
A. Get Access
   (1) Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the flap/slat control lever.
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
   (3) Open the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the applicable access panel.
Subtask 53-35-13-020-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Removal of the Bellows Oxygen Enriched Air (OEA) Outlet
   (1) Open access door 191DB.
   (2) Record the position of the clamp (2).
   (3) Hold the bellows flexible hose (1) and loosen the screw of the clamp (2).
   (4) Let the bellows flexible hose (1) retract smoothly to its position and remove the clamp (2).
   (5) Put a COVER - PLASTIC on the bellows (1).
4. Procedure
Subtask 53-35-13-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of Quick-Release Access Panels 191BB, 191EB, 191HB, 191KB, 192EB, 192FB, 192KB, 195AB, 196AB and 197BB
NOTE: You can see five screw positions on the forward edge of quick-release access panel 191BB.
   (1) Make sure that you obey the instructions related to the screws/captive nuts and the studs/receptacles (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).
   (2) If the studs and/or receptacles are missing, install new ones at the next check.
   (3) If the screws and/or captive nuts are missing on quick-release access panel 191BB, replace the five positions of the forward edge at the next check.
   (4) Hold the panel (4) and loosen the studs (3).
   (5) Remove the panel (4).
   (6) For quick-release access panel 191BB, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Hold the panel (4) and remove the screws (7), the washers (8) and loosen the studs (3).
     (b) Remove the panel (4).
   (7) On quick-release access panels 191KB and 192KB, disengage the pins (5) from the cords (6).
Subtask 53-35-13-020-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of Quick-Release Access Panels 191BB, 191EB, 191HB, 191KB, 192EB, 192FB, 192KB, 195AB, 196AB and 197KB
NOTE: Two persons are necessary for this procedure.
NOTE: You can see five screw positions on the forward edge of quick-release access panel 191BB.
   (1) Make sure that you obey the instructions related to the screws/captive nuts and the studs/receptacles (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).
   (2) If the studs and/or receptacles are missing, install new ones at the next check.
   (3) If the screws and/or captive nuts are missing on quick-release access panel 191BB, replace the five positions of the forward edge at the next check.
   (4) Hold the panel (4) and loosen the studs (3).
   (5) Remove the panel (4).
   (6) For quick-release access panel 191BB, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Hold the panel (4) and remove the screws (7), the washers (8) and loosen the studs (3).
     (b) Remove the panel (4).
   (7) On quick-release access panels 191KB and 192KB, disengage the pins (5) from the cords (6).
   (8) On quick-release access panel 197KB, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Remove the cover strip from the inboard flap seal (Ref. AMM TASK 27-54-61-000-005).
     (b) Make sure that:
  • One person applies the inboard flap seal.
  • The other person removes the studs (3) that are behind the inboard flap seal.
Remove the remaining studs (3).
   (9) Remove the panel (4).
Subtask 53-35-13-020-052-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of Quick-Release Access Panels 191BB, 191EB, 191HB, 191KB, 192EB, 192FB, 192KB 195AB, 196AB, 197PB and 197KB
NOTE: You can see five screw positions on the forward edge of quick-release access panel 191BB.
   (1) Make sure that you obey the instructions related to the screws/captive nuts and the studs/receptacles (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001).
   (2) If the studs and/or receptacles are missing, install new ones at the next check.
   (3) If the screws and/or captive nuts are missing on quick-release access panel 191BB, replace the five positions of the forward edge at the next check.
   (4) Hold the panel (4) and loosen the studs (3).
   (5) Remove the panel (4).
   (6) For quick-release access panel 191BB, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Hold the panel (4) and remove the screws (7), the washers (8) and loosen the studs (3).
     (b) Remove the panel (4).
   (7) On quick-release access panels 191KB and 192KB, disengage the pins (5) attached to the cords (6).
   (8) On quick-release access panel 197PB:
     (a) Hold the panel (1) and disconnect the lanyard (4).
     (b) Remove the screws (7), the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
     (c) Remove the bonding strap (5) from the bracket (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (d) Remove the bracket (6).
     (e) Remove the panel (1).
Subtask 53-35-13-020-052-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of Quick-Release Access Panels 191BB, 191EB, 191HB, 191KB, 192EB, 192FB, 192KB, 195AB, 196AB, 197MB, 197NB, 197PB and 198RB
NOTE: Two persons are necessary for this procedure.

   (4) Hold the panel (4) and loosen the studs (3).
   (5) Remove the panel (4).
   (6) For quick-release access panel 191BB, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Hold the panel (4) and remove the screws (7), the washers (8) and loosen the studs (3).
     (b) Remove the panel (4).
   (7) On quick-release access panels 191KB and 192KB, disengage the pins (5) attached to the cords (6).
   (8) For quick-release access panels 197MB, 197NB and 197PB, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Hold the quick-release access panels (1), (4) and (6) and loosen the studs (3).
     (b) Lower the quick-release access panels (1), (4) and (6).
     (c) Disconnect the lanyards (9) from the quick-release access panels (1), (4) and (6).
     (d) Remove the nuts (12), the washers (11), the bonding straps (8) and the screws (10).
     (e) Remove the quick-release access panels (1), (4) and (6).
     (f) Remove and discard the seals (2), (5) and (7).
   (9) For quick-release access panel 198RB, do the steps that follow:
     (a) Hold the quick-release access panel (1) and loosen the studs (2).
     (b) Lower the quick-release access panel (1).
     (c) Disconnect the lanyard (3) from the quick-release access panel (1).
     (d) Remove the quick-release access panel (1).

B. Removal of the Erosion Strip from Quick-Release Access Panels 191BB, 191EB, 192EB and 192FB

   (1) Remove the screws (5) and the washers (3).
   (2) Remove the studs (4) and the washers (3) from the access panel (1).
   (3) Remove the applicable access panel (1).
   (4) Identify the location of the erosion strip (2) to make the installation procedure easier.
   (5) Carefully remove the erosion strip (2) from the access panel (1).
