A. Safety Precautions
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) Make sure that the landing gear doors are closed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
(4) Install the 98D29208246001 DEVICE-SAFETY,RAT or the 98D29208246000 SAFETY DEVICE-RAT (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-860-007).
(5) Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(6) Make sure that the slats are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005).
(7) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS or the 98D27803500002 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(8) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) on access door 121AL to tell persons not to use the external power receptacle.
(9) On panel 400VU:
(a) Make sure that the landing gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(10) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat system.
Subtask 32-31-00-010-078-A WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE EXTERNAL POWER CONNECTOR IS NOT CONNECTED.
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) Make sure that the landing gear doors are closed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).
(4) Install the 98D29208246001 DEVICE-SAFETY,RAT or the 98D29208246000 SAFETY DEVICE-RAT (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-860-007).
(5) Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(6) Make sure that the slats are fully retracted (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005).
(7) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS or the 98D27803500002 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever.
(8) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) on access door 121AL to tell persons not to use the external power receptacle.
(9) On panel 400VU:
(a) Make sure that the landing gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
(10) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat system.
B. Get Access
(1) Remove the access panel (1) from below panel 123VU.
(2) Make sure that the applicable quick-release access panels 195BB and 196BB are open (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).

WARNING:
OPEN CIRCUIT BREAKER 7XE. THIS WILL PREVENT A POSSIBLE DEPLOYMENT OF THE RAT IF THE MAIN AC BUSBARS 1XP AND 2XP BECOME ISOLATED.

E. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1) Do the flight configuration precautions with electrical power (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).

F. Installation of the Test Equipment
(2) Connect the GENERATOR - GROUND PRESSURE MINI. 100 MB to the static and pitot probes as follows:
(a) Use the 98D34003500000 ADAPTER COVER-STATIC PORT equipment to connect the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR to the static probes 7DA1 and 8DA1.
(b) Use the 36122 ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE or the 98F34103001000 ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE for Thales probes or the P75701-4C ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE for Rosemount (Aerospace)/Goodrich probes to connect the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR to the pitot probe 9DA1.
(c) Seal the drain holes of the pitot probe 9DA1 with TAPE - ADHESIVE.
Subtask 32-31-00-860-100-A CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE COVERS FROM THE PROBES BEFORE YOU DO THE TEST.
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU SEAL THE DRAIN HOLE IN THE PITOT PROBE, DO NOT SEAL THE HOLE DIRECTLY WITH THE COLORED ADHESIVE TAPE. ALWAYS PUT A PIECE OF PLASTIC ON THE HOLE FIRST AND USE THE COLORED ADHESIVE TAPE TO ATTACH THE PLASTIC.
IF YOU SEAL THE DRAIN HOLE DIRECTLY WITH THE ADHESIVE TAPE, THERE IS A RISK THAT SOME OF THE ADHESIVE WILL STAY ON THE HOLE AND COLLECT PARTICLES. THIS CAN SUBSEQUENTLY CAUSE BLOCKAGE OF THE HOLE AND THUS INCORRECT OPERATION OF THE PROBE.
(1) Remove the slip-on covers from the pitot and static probes. (2) Connect the GENERATOR - GROUND PRESSURE MINI. 100 MB to the static and pitot probes as follows:
(a) Use the 98D34003500000 ADAPTER COVER-STATIC PORT equipment to connect the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR to the static probes 7DA1 and 8DA1.
(b) Use the 36122 ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE or the 98F34103001000 ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE for Thales probes or the P75701-4C ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE for Rosemount (Aerospace)/Goodrich probes to connect the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR to the pitot probe 9DA1.
(c) Seal the drain holes of the pitot probe 9DA1 with TAPE - ADHESIVE.
G. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Install the connectors (2) and (3) of the 98D24408392000 BOX-CONTACTOR,GND PWR GND PWR Contactor Override Box to the connector (5) and contactor 3XG connection (4).
(3) Put the switch on the GND PWR Contactor Override Box to the OFF position.
(4) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
4. ProcedureWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT NO AC OR DC POWER IS CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS.
THERE IS A RISK OF ELECTROCUTION IF THE AC OR DC POWER STAYS CONNECTED.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from the contactor 3XG connection (4). (2) Install the connectors (2) and (3) of the 98D24408392000 BOX-CONTACTOR,GND PWR GND PWR Contactor Override Box to the connector (5) and contactor 3XG connection (4).
(3) Put the switch on the GND PWR Contactor Override Box to the OFF position.
(4) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
Subtask 32-31-00-720-071-A
A. Operational Check to Ensure Safety Valve Closes at 260 Knots
(2) Stop the electric pump of the Yellow hydraulic system to depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
Subtask 32-31-00-080-067-A WARNING:
IF THE GROUND DOOR OPERATING-HANDLE MOVES AWAY FROM THE OPEN POSITION BUT THE RELATED DOOR(S) DOES(DO) NOT CLOSE, MOVE THE HANDLE BACK TO THE OPEN POSITION IMMEDIATELY.
IF YOU DO NOT KEEP THE HANDLE IN THE OPEN POSITION ALL THE TIME, THE RELATED DOOR(S) CAN CLOSE SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
CAUTION:
TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO INSTRUMENTS, OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS WHEN YOU DO THE TEST:
- THE PRESSURES SET MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 1050 hPa (31 in Hg) OR LESS THAN 115 hPa (3.39 in Hg)
- CHANGES IN STATIC AND TOTAL PRESSURES MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 6000 FEET/MINUTE
- DO NOT SUDDENLY OPEN LINES TO AMBIENT AIR WHILE THE PRESSURE GENERATOR IS CONNECTED.
CAUTION:
THE TOTAL PRESSURE IN THE PITOT SYSTEM MUST NEVER BE LESS THAN THE STATIC PRESSURE. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PITOT AND THE STATIC PRESSURE CIRCUITS MUST NEVER BE MORE THAN 368 hPa (10.86 in Hg).

B. Removal of the Test Equipment
(1) Disconnect and remove the 98D34003500000 ADAPTER COVER-STATIC PORT equipment from the static probes 7DA1 and 8DA1.
(2) Disconnect and remove the 36122 ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE or the 98F34103001000 ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE or the P75701-4C ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE from the pitot probe 9DA1.
(3) Remove the colored adhesive tape from the pitot probe 9DA1 drain holes.
Subtask 32-31-00-480-067-A (1) Disconnect and remove the 98D34003500000 ADAPTER COVER-STATIC PORT equipment from the static probes 7DA1 and 8DA1.
(2) Disconnect and remove the 36122 ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE or the 98F34103001000 ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE or the P75701-4C ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE from the pitot probe 9DA1.
(3) Remove the colored adhesive tape from the pitot probe 9DA1 drain holes.
C. Installation of the Test Equipment
(a) Connect the 98D34003500000 ADAPTER COVER-STATIC PORT equipment to the static probes 7DA3 and 8DA3.
(b) Use the 36122 ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE or the 98F34103001000 ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE for Thales probes or the P75701-4C ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE for Rosemount (Aerospace)/Goodrich probes to connect the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR to the pitot probe 9DA3.
(c) Seal the drain holes of the pitot probe 9DA3 with TAPE - ADHESIVE.
Subtask 32-31-00-720-072-A CAUTION:
WHEN YOU SEAL THE DRAIN HOLE IN THE PITOT PROBE, DO NOT SEAL THE HOLE DIRECTLY WITH THE COLORED ADHESIVE TAPE. ALWAYS PUT A PIECE OF PLASTIC ON THE HOLE FIRST AND USE THE COLORED ADHESIVE TAPE TO ATTACH THE PLASTIC.

(b) Use the 36122 ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE or the 98F34103001000 ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE for Thales probes or the P75701-4C ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE for Rosemount (Aerospace)/Goodrich probes to connect the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR to the pitot probe 9DA3.
(c) Seal the drain holes of the pitot probe 9DA3 with TAPE - ADHESIVE.

IF THE GROUND DOOR OPERATING-HANDLE MOVES AWAY FROM THE OPEN POSITION BUT THE RELATED DOOR(S) DOES(DO) NOT CLOSE, MOVE THE HANDLE BACK TO THE OPEN POSITION IMMEDIATELY.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Stop the electric pump of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow and the Green hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
Subtask 32-31-00-080-064-A (1) Stop the electric pump of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow and the Green hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
B. Removal of the Test Equipment
(2) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the contactor 3XG connection (4).
(3) Disconnect and remove the 98D34003500000 ADAPTER COVER-STATIC PORT equipment from the static probes 7DA3 and 8DA3 and the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR.
(4) Disconnect and remove the 36122 ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE or the 98F34103001000 ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE or the P75701-4C ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE from the pitot probe 9DA3 and the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR.
(5) Remove the colored adhesive tape from the pitot probe 9DA3 drain holes.
Subtask 32-31-00-410-072-B WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT NO AC OR DC POWER IS CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS.
THERE IS A RISK OF ELECTROCUTION IF THE AC OR DC POWER STAYS CONNECTED.
(1) Disconnect the connectors (2) and (3) of the GND PWR Contactor Override Box from the connector (5) and the contactor 3XG connection (4). (2) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the contactor 3XG connection (4).
(3) Disconnect and remove the 98D34003500000 ADAPTER COVER-STATIC PORT equipment from the static probes 7DA3 and 8DA3 and the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR.
(4) Disconnect and remove the 36122 ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE or the 98F34103001000 ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE or the P75701-4C ADAPTER-PITOT PROBE from the pitot probe 9DA3 and the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR.
(5) Remove the colored adhesive tape from the pitot probe 9DA3 drain holes.
C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the applicable MLG ground door-operating handle is locked in the CLOSED position.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install the access panel (1) below panel 123VU.
(4) Remove the 98D29208246001 DEVICE-SAFETY,RAT or the 98D29208246000 SAFETY DEVICE-RAT (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-860-008).
(5) Close the applicable quick-release access panels 195BB and 196BB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
Subtask 32-31-00-865-108-A (1) Make sure that the applicable MLG ground door-operating handle is locked in the CLOSED position.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install the access panel (1) below panel 123VU.
(4) Remove the 98D29208246001 DEVICE-SAFETY,RAT or the 98D29208246000 SAFETY DEVICE-RAT (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-860-008).
(5) Close the applicable quick-release access panels 195BB and 196BB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-400-002).
D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS or the 98D27803500002 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
(2) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
