- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate this pushbutton switch.

- On access door 197CB, on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
(4) On FLAPS panel 114VU:
- Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is in position on the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.
- Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
- Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

A. Installation of the Aft Pressure/Suction/Case Drain/Return Piping of the Green Hydraulic System in the Engine Pylon
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the line ends.
(5) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(6) Installation of the hydraulic pipes (99) and (100):
(a) Put the hydraulic pipe (99) in position.
(b) Connect the hydraulic pipe (99) to the pylon/wing interface.
(c) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (99) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )

(d) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(e) Install the clamp (108) on the hydraulic pipe (100).
(f) Put the hydraulic pipe (100) in position.
(g) Connect the hydraulic pipe (100) to the pylon/wing interface.
(h) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (100) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )

(i) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(j) Install the support (105) and (111) with the washers (106) and the bolts (107).
(k) Tighten the bolts (107).
(l) Install the washers (109) and the bolts (110).
(m) Tighten the bolts (110).
(7) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (101):
(a) Put the hydraulic pipe (101) in position.
(b) Installation of the clamp (112):

Subtask 29-11-49-420-131-B CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(1) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the hydraulic lines. - ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(4) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the line ends.
(5) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(6) Installation of the hydraulic pipes (99) and (100):
(a) Put the hydraulic pipe (99) in position.
(b) Connect the hydraulic pipe (99) to the pylon/wing interface.
(c) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (99) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. (d) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(e) Install the clamp (108) on the hydraulic pipe (100).
(f) Put the hydraulic pipe (100) in position.
(g) Connect the hydraulic pipe (100) to the pylon/wing interface.
(h) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (100) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. (i) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(j) Install the support (105) and (111) with the washers (106) and the bolts (107).
(k) Tighten the bolts (107).
(l) Install the washers (109) and the bolts (110).
(m) Tighten the bolts (110).
(7) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (101):
(a) Put the hydraulic pipe (101) in position.
(b) Installation of the clamp (112):
1 Install the clamp (112) on the hydraulic pipe (101).
2 Install the washers (113) and the bolts (114).
- Do not tighten the bolts (114) at this time.
(d) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (101) to between 8.3 and 7.5 m.daN (61.21 and 55.31 lbf.ft )
. (e) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(f) Tighten the bolts (114).
(8) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (98):
(a) Put the hydraulic pipe (98) in position.
(b) Installation of the clamp (104):
1 Install the clamp (104) on the hydraulic pipe (98).
2 Install the washers (103) and the bolts (102).
- Do not tighten the bolts (102) at this time.
1 Install the clamp (115) on the hydraulic pipe (98).
2 Install the washers (116) and the bolts (117).
- Do not tighten the bolts (117) at this time.
1 Install the clamp (119) on the hydraulic pipe (98).
2 Install the washer (120), the bolt (121) and the nut (118).
- Do not tighten the nut (118) at this time.
(f) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (98) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
. (g) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(h) Tighten the nut (118).
(i) Tighten the bolts (117).
(j) Tighten the bolts (102).
B. Installation of the Middle Pressure/Suction/Case Drain/Return Piping of the Green Hydraulic System in the Engine Pylon
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the line ends.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(5) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (50):
(a) Put the hydraulic pipe (50) in position.
(b) Install the bushing (86) on the hydraulic pipe (50).
(c) Connect the hydraulic pipe (50) to the hydraulic pipe (98).
(d) TORQUE the union nuts of the hydraulic pipe (98) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
.
(e) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(f) Install the washers (54) and the bolts (53) that attach the hydraulic pipe (50) to the structure.
(g) Tighten the bolts (53).
(6) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (51):
(a) Put the hydraulic pipe (51) in position.
(b) Install the bushing (87) on the hydraulic pipe (51).
(c) Installation of the clamp blocks (90):
1 Install the bolts (88) and the washers (89).
2 Install the nuts (91). Do not tighten them at this time.
(d) Installation of the clamp blocks (94):
1 Install the bolts (92) and the washers (93) that attach the clamp blocks (94) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (92) at this time.
(e) Installation of the clamp blocks (55):
1 Install the bolts (57) and the washers (56) that attach the clamp blocks (55) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (57) at this time.
(f) Connect the hydraulic pipe (51) to the hydraulic pipe (101).
(g) TORQUE the union nuts of the hydraulic pipe (51) to between 8.3 and 7.5 m.daN (61.21 and 55.31 lbf.ft )

(h) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(i) Install the bolts (52) and the washers (54) that attach the hydraulic pipe (51) to the structure.
1 Tighten the bolts (52).
(j) TORQUE the nuts (91) to between 3.1 and 2.5 m.N (27.43 and 22.12 lbf.in )

(k) TORQUE the bolts (92) to between 3.1 and 2.5 m.N (27.43 and 22.12 lbf.in )

(l) TORQUE the bolts (57) to between 3.1 and 2.5 m.N (27.43 and 22.12 lbf.in )

(7) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (49):
(a) Put the hydraulic pipe (49) in position.
(b) Install the bushing (85) on the hydraulic pipe (49).
(c) Installation of the clamp (67):
1 Install the clamp (67) on the hydraulic pipe (49).
2 Install the bolts (69) and the washers (68) that attach the clamp (67) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (69) at this time.
(d) Installation of the clamp (61):
1 Install the clamp (61) on the hydraulic pipe (49).
2 Install the bolts (63) and the washers (62) that attach the clamp (61) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (63) at this time.
(e) Installation of the clamp (64):
1 Install the clamp (64) on the hydraulic pipe (49).
2 Install the bolts (66) and the washers (65) that attach the clamp (64) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (66) at this time.
(f) Installation of the clamp (58):
1 Install the clamp (58) on the hydraulic pipe (49).
2 Install the bolts (60) and the washers (59) that attach the clamp (58) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (60) at this time.

(e) Installation of the clamp (8):
1 Install the clamp (8) on the hydraulic pipe (1).

(f) Connect the hydraulic pipe (1) to the hydraulic filter (7).
(9) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (2):

(11) Remove the sealant around the ICU connector (47) with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(12) If necessary, align all assemblies again and tighten with your hands the parts that follow:

(d) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) or Grease-Hydraulic Systems - - (Material No.03LDA1) the nut of the nut of the hydraulic pipe (1) and the hydraulic filter (7).
(e) Installation of the clamp (8):
1 Install the clamp (8) on the hydraulic pipe (1).
2 Install the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamp (8) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (10) at this time.
(f) Connect the hydraulic pipe (1) to the hydraulic filter (7).
(9) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (2):
(a) Put the hydraulic pipe (2) in position.
(b) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) or Grease-Hydraulic Systems - - (Material No.03LDA1) the nut of the hydraulic pipe (2) and the hydraulic filter (7).
(c) Connect the hydraulic pipe (2) to the hydraulic filter (7).
(d) Fill the space between the check valve (45) and the pylon lower spar with Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) .
(e) Put the check valve (45) in position into the pylon.
(f) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) or Grease-Hydraulic Systems - - (Material No.03LDA1) the nut of the hydraulic pipe (2) and the check valve (45).
(g) Install the check valve (45) on the hydraulic pipe (2).
(10) Loosen the bolts (125) on the plate (124) of the ICU.
(11) Remove the sealant around the ICU connector (47) with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(12) If necessary, align all assemblies again and tighten with your hands the parts that follow:
(a) The hydraulic pipe (3) to hydraulic pipe (49).
(b) The hydraulic pipe (3) to the hydraulic filter (7).
(c) The hydraulic pipe (1) to the ICU connector (47).
(d) The hydraulic pipe (1) to the hydraulic filter (7).
(e) The hydraulic pipe (2) to the hydraulic filter (7).
(f) The hydraulic pipe (2) to the check valve (45).
(g) Make sure that all the hand tightened connections are correctly attached and aligned. If necessary, loosen and tighten with your hands again the tightened connections.
(13) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (3) on the hydraulic pipe (49) to between 95 and 85 m.N (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
.(14) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (3) on the hydraulic filter (7) to between 95 and 85 m.N (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. (15) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line

(16) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (2) on the hydraulic filter (7) to between 95 and 85 m.N (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. (17) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line

(18) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (2) on the check valve (45) to between 95 and 85 m.N (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )

(20) Installation of the anti-rotation device (122):
(a) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) on the mating surfaces of the anti-rotation device (122) and the pylon.
(b) Put the anti-rotation device (122) in its correct installation position.
(c) Install the washers (44) and the bolts (43) and (123).
(d) Tighten the bolts (43) and (123).
(e) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - - (Material No.06BJB1) on the heads of the bolts (43) and (123).
(21) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (1) to the ICU connector (47) to between 83 and 75 m.N (61.21 and 55.31 lbf.ft )
. (22) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(23) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (1) on the hydraulic filter (7) to between 81 and 75 m.N (59.73 and 55.31 lbf.ft )
. (24) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(25) Tighten the bolts (10) on the clamps (8).
(26) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) or Grease-Hydraulic Systems - - (Material No.03LDA1) the threads of the coupling nut of the hose (46).
(a) Connect the hose (46) to the check valve (45).
(b) TORQUE the coupling nut of the hose (46) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. Use the triple torque procedure as follows: 1 Torque to specified value.
2 Loosen until the coupling nut is free to turn again.
3 Torque and loosen again.
4 Torque one more time.
(c) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(d) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. Brushable 200°C (Material No.06BJA4) to fill the cavity between the structure and the hydraulic pipe (2).
(27) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(28) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (5):
(a) Install the bushing (29) on the hydraulic pipe (5).
(b) Put the hydraulic pipe (5) in position.
(c) Installation of the clamp (8):
1 Install the clamp (8) on the hydraulic pipe (5).
2 Install the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamp (8) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (10) at this time.
(d) Install the screw (33) and the washer (34).
(e) Tighten the screw (33).
(f) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) on the new AIPC 29-11-86-51-060 PACKING (39).
(g) Install the packing (39) on the check valve (38).
(h) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) the internal thread of the port of fitting installed at the end of the hydraulic pipe (5).
(i) Install the check valve (38) on the hydraulic pipe (5).
(j) TORQUE the check valve (38) to between 7.95 and 7.85 m.daN (58.63 and 57.89 lbf.ft )
. (k) Install the anti-rotation device (40).
(l) Install the washers (35) and the screws (36).
(m) Tighten the screws (36).
(n) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) on the threads of the coupling nut of the hydraulic pipe (37).
(o) Connect the hydraulic pipe (37) to the check valve (38).
(p) Tighten the hydraulic pipe (37).
(q) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) or Grease-Hydraulic Systems - - (Material No.03LDA1) the nut of hydraulic pipe (5) and the hydraulic pipe (51).
(r) Connect the hydraulic pipe (5) to the hydraulic pipe (51).
(s) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (5) to between 79.5 and 78.5 m.N (58.63 and 57.89 lbf.ft )
. (t) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(u) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. Brushable 200°C (Material No.06BJA4) around the flanged union of the hydraulic pipe (5).
(v) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. Brushable 200°C (Material No.06BJA4) on the anchor nuts after you assemble all the parts.
(w) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(x) Tighten the bolts (10).
(29) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (6):
(a) Install the bushing (28) on the hydraulic pipe (6).
(b) Put the hydraulic pipe (6) in position.
(c) Installation of the clamp blocks (30):
1 Install the bolts (32) and the washers (31) that attach the clamp blocks (30) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (32) at this time.
(d) Installation of the two clamps (8):
1 Install the clamps (8) on the hydraulic pipe (6).
2 Install the bolts (10) and the washers (9) that attach the clamps (8) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (10) at this time.
(e) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) or Grease-Hydraulic Systems - - (Material No.03LDA1) the nut of the hydraulic pipe (6) and the hydraulic pipe (50).
(f) Connect the hydraulic pipe (6) to the hydraulic pipe (50).
(g) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (6) to between 32 and 29 m.N (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
. (h) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(i) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) the nut of the hydraulic pipe (6) and the T-duct (41).
(j) Connect the hydraulic pipe (6) to the T-duct (41).
(k) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (6) to between 32 and 29 m.N (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
. (l) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(m) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. Brushable 200°C (Material No.06BJA4) to fill the cavity between the structure and the hydraulic pipe (6).
(n) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. Brushable 200°C (Material No.06BJA4) on the anchor nuts after you assemble all the parts.
(o) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(p) Tighten the bolts (10).
(q) TORQUE the bolts (32) to between 3.1 and 2.5 m.N (27.43 and 22.12 lbf.in )
.(30) Installation of the hydraulic pipe (4):
(a) Install the bushing (27) on the hydraulic pipe (4).
(b) Put the hydraulic pipe (4) in position.
(c) Installation of the two clamps (11):
1 Install the clamps (11) on the hydraulic pipe (4).
2 Install the bolts (13) and the washers (12) that attach the clamps (11) to the structure. Do not tighten the bolts (13) at this time.
(d) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) the nut of the hydraulic pipe (4) and the coupling (42).
(e) Connect the hydraulic pipe (4) to the coupling (42).
(f) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (4) to between 95 and 85 m.N (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. (g) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line

(h) Lightly lubricate with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) or Grease-Hydraulic Systems - - (Material No.03LDA1) the nut of the hydraulic pipe (4) and the hydraulic pipe (48).
(i) Connect the hydraulic pipe (4) to the hydraulic pipe (48).
(j) TORQUE the hydraulic pipe (4) to between 95 and 85 m.N (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. (k) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(l) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. Brushable 200°C (Material No.06BJA4) to fill the cavity between the structure and the hydraulic pipe (4).
(m) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(n) Tighten the bolts (13).
(31) Tighten the bolts (125) on the plate (124) of the ICU .
(32) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - 200°C (Material No.06BJB4) around the ICU connector (47).
(33) Installation of the half clamp blocks (23) and (24):
NOTE: It is necessary to install the half clamp blocks (23) and (24) after installation of the hydraulic pipes (3), (4), (5) and (6).
(a) Put the half clamp block (23) in position. (b) Hold the half clamp block (23) and install the bolts (18) and (21) and the washers (17) and (22) with the nuts (25). Do not tighten the nuts (25) at this time.
(c) Make sure that the bushings (26), (27), (28) and (29) are installed in the correct position on the clamp block (23).
(d) Put the half clamp block (24) in position.
(e) Hold the half clamp block (24) and install the bolts (16) and the washers (15) with the nuts (25). Do not tighten the nuts (25) at this time.
(f) Install the bolts (20), washers (19) and nuts (14) that attach the half clamp block (23) to the half clamp block (24).
(g) Tighten the nuts (14).
(h) Tighten the nuts (25).
(34) Tighten the bolts (125) on the plate (124) of the ICU .
(35) Apply Silicone Sealant-High Temp. - 200°C (Material No.06BJB4) around the ICU connector (47).
D. Installation of Components
(1) Install the fire extinguisher bottles (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-400-001).
(2) Install the engine fire-extinguishing pipe (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-49-400-804).
(3) Install the bleed-air precooler exchanger (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-42-400-804).
Subtask 29-11-49-440-069-A (1) Install the fire extinguisher bottles (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-400-001).
