B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, press the HYD pushbutton. Make sure that the HYD page is shown on the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU)
   (4) Make sure that the ECAM does not show any of these conditions:
  • low air pressure in the Green reservoir,
  • low fluid level in the Green reservoir.
   (5) If necessary, pressurize the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (6) If necessary, add fluid to the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
   (7) On the overhead panel 40VU, press the PTU/AUTO P/BSW (the OFF light comes on).
   (8) On the overhead panel 40VU, make sure that the GREEN/ENG 1 PUMP P/BSW is set to on (FAULT and OFF lights are off).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: DO NOT START OR DRY MOTOR THE ENGINES WITH A HYDRAULIC GROUND POWER SUPPLY CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE PUMPS.
A. Operational Test of the Green Hydraulic System
ACTION
RESULT
1.Dry-motor the left (No. 1) engine (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-001).
The left (No. 1) engine turns and causes the engine-driven pump of the Green hydraulic system to turn.

On the ECAM upper DU:
  • the speed of the left (No. 1) engine is approximately 20 % N2.

On the ECAM lower DU:
  • the pressure in the Green hydraulic system is 3000 +100 -100 psi.
On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • press the GREEN/ENG 1 PUMP P/BSW.
On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • the GREEN/ENG 1 PUMP OFF light comes on.

On the ECAM lower DU:
  • the vertical line between the EDP box and the system indication changes from green to amber.
  • the engine pump symbol of the Green hydraulic system changes from green in-line to amber cross-line.
  • the pressure in the Green hydraulic system decreases to 0 psi.
On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • press the GREEN/ENG 1 PUMP P/BSW.
On the overhead panel 40VU:
  • the GREEN/ENG 1 PUMP OFF light goes off.

On the ECAM lower DU:
  • the pressure in the Green hydraulic system increases to 3000 +100 -100 psi.
  • the engine pump symbol of the Green hydraulic system changes from amber cross-line to green in-line.
  • the vertical line between the EDP box and the system indication changes from amber to green.
Stop the dry-motoring of the left (No. 1) engine (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-001).
On the ECAM lower DU:
  • the pressure in the Green hydraulic system decreases to 0 psi.
