Pressurization of the Hydraulic Reservoirs through the Ground Connector
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
1. Reason for the JobTo pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs through the ground connector.
NOTE: The reservoirs are pressurized through the air pressurization manifold, thus they are pressurized at the same time.
2. Job Set-up InformationA. Fixtures, Tools, Test and Support Equipment

B. Get Access
(1) Open the applicable access door:
For the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system
For the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system
For the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system
(2) Open the access doors 195BB, 196BB and 197FB.
(3) Open one of the main doors of the main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
Subtask 29-14-00-869-051-A (1) Open the applicable access door:
For the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system
For the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system
For the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system
(2) Open the access doors 195BB, 196BB and 197FB.
(3) Open one of the main doors of the main gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

4. ProcedureSubtask 29-14-00-614-050-B
A. Pressurizing
(1) Remove the cap from the ground connector.
(2) Connect the 98D29003501000 FILL UNIT-AIR PRESSURIZING TOOL, HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR or 98D29003501003 FILL UNIT - AIR to the ground connector.
(4) Fill the reservoir with air until 50 psi (3 bar) is shown on the reservoir pressure gages 1383GM, 2383GM and 3383GM.
(5) Turn the nut clockwise to close the ground connector.
(6) TORQUE the nut to between 1.9 and 1.7 m.daN (14.01 and 12.54 lbf.ft )
.
5. Close-up(1) Remove the cap from the ground connector.
(2) Connect the 98D29003501000 FILL UNIT-AIR PRESSURIZING TOOL, HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR or 98D29003501003 FILL UNIT - AIR to the ground connector.
NOTE: If the pressurizing tool is not available, you can use an alternative supply of air. The supply must have a pressure of 5 bar (73 psi) and it must have a filter of 5 microns or better.
As alternative to the air source, you can use the nitrogen source with 97A29102035000 CONNECTOR-PRESSURIZING,HYDRAULIC TANK.
(3) Turn the nut counterclockwise to open the ground connector. As alternative to the air source, you can use the nitrogen source with 97A29102035000 CONNECTOR-PRESSURIZING,HYDRAULIC TANK.
(4) Fill the reservoir with air until 50 psi (3 bar) is shown on the reservoir pressure gages 1383GM, 2383GM and 3383GM.
(5) Turn the nut clockwise to close the ground connector.
(6) TORQUE the nut to between 1.9 and 1.7 m.daN (14.01 and 12.54 lbf.ft )
. NOTE: Obey the limits (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-200-002), if there is a decrease of the air pressure in the reservoirs.
Subtask 29-14-00-860-055-A
A. Put the system back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Remove the pressurizing tool.
(2) Install the cap on the ground connector.
Subtask 29-14-00-410-051-A (1) Remove the pressurizing tool.
