A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the aircraft is in this configuration:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
Subtask 12-12-29-010-054-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the aircraft is in this configuration:
- The speed brakes and the spoilers are retracted
- The thrust reversers are stowed (closed)
- The landing gear is extended and the landing gear doors are closed
NOTE: One main landing gear door may be kept open.
- The FWD and aft cargo-compartment doors 825 and 826 are closed
- All the other hydraulically controlled systems are in the normal position.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
NOTE: Do not depressurize the system reservoirs.
(4) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002). B. Get Access
(1) Open the left and right Main Landing Gear (MLG) doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Open the access panels 197CB, 198CB and 197EB.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
Subtask 12-12-29-210-052-A (1) Open the left and right Main Landing Gear (MLG) doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Open the access panels 197CB, 198CB and 197EB.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
C. Inspection of the Pressure Values
(1) Make sure that the nitrogen fill pressure of the brake accumulator 2582GM is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 32-44-11-200-001).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic accumulators 1070GM, 2070GM and 3070GM have a nitrogen pressure of 130 bar (1885.4901 psi) at 20 deg.C (68.00 deg.F).
If necessary, adjust the nitrogen pressure (Ref. AMM TASK 12-14-29-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the pressure on the indicator of the related reservoir is 3.5 -0 bar or +0.3 bar (50.7632 -0 psi or +4.3511 psi). If necessary, pressurize the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
Subtask 12-12-29-863-050-A (1) Make sure that the nitrogen fill pressure of the brake accumulator 2582GM is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 32-44-11-200-001).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic accumulators 1070GM, 2070GM and 3070GM have a nitrogen pressure of 130 bar (1885.4901 psi) at 20 deg.C (68.00 deg.F).
If necessary, adjust the nitrogen pressure (Ref. AMM TASK 12-14-29-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the pressure on the indicator of the related reservoir is 3.5 -0 bar or +0.3 bar (50.7632 -0 psi or +4.3511 psi). If necessary, pressurize the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
NOTE: If you pressurize the Hydraulic Reservoir with the APU, the Hydraulic Reservoir pressure will be approximately 1.65 bar (24 psi).
D. Pressurization of the Auxiliary Braking System
(1) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system with the Yellow E-pump (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001) to pressurize the brake accumulator system to 206 bar (2987.7766 psi).
(2) On the panel 110VU, put the parking brake control switch 73GG to the ON position.
(3) Make sure that the pressure on the triple indicator 60GG shows the left and right pressure values.
(4) Close the left and right MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
4. Procedure(1) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system with the Yellow E-pump (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001) to pressurize the brake accumulator system to 206 bar (2987.7766 psi).
(2) On the panel 110VU, put the parking brake control switch 73GG to the ON position.
(3) Make sure that the pressure on the triple indicator 60GG shows the left and right pressure values.
(4) Close the left and right MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001).
(5) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
NOTE: Do not depressurize the alternate braking system.
(6) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the panel 40VU in the cockpit to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems. Subtask 12-12-29-611-052-A
A. Fill the Hydraulic Reservoirs (Refer to the Tables)
(1) Remove the hand pump lever 3270GM from the service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(2) On the service panel of the Green hydraulic system, connect the hand pump lever 3270GM to the shaft of the hand pump 1009GM.
(3) Remove the flexible hose 1699GM from the service panel compartment of the Green hydraulic system.
(4) Remove the blanking cap and connect the flexible hose to the fill valve 1698GM. Put the other end in the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT with the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
(6) Make sure that on the quantity indicator 1834GQ the colored light of the related system comes on.
(7) Get the reservoir temperature using one of the methods:
(a) Read out reservoir temperature through ACMS RTM (Real Time Monitoring) and use the related AIDS label call-up:
1 For the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system - 029/1/172/01/08,
2 For the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system - 029/1/172/10/08,
3 For the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system - 029/1/172/11/08.
Refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-008) to get access to the parameter call-up menus.
(b) As an alternative to previous method, use the THERMOMETER-INFRARED to record the hydraulic fluid temperature.
(8) Fill the hydraulic reservoir:
(b) Monitor the increase of the fluid level of the related system on the quantity indicator and do these steps:
1 Stop the flow of the hydraulic fluid when the pointer is almost to the fill level given in the table 2 (HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR FILLING CAPACITIES).
2 Slowly continue to fill again, until the pointer shows almost to the fill level given in the table 2 (HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR FILLING CAPACITIES).

3 After servicing of the reservoir, refer to previous work step:
(11) Make sure that the colored light on the quantity indicator 1834GQ goes off.
(12) Remove the flexible hose and install the blanking cap on the pump.
(13) Put the flexible hose back in position in the service panel compartment of the Green hydraulic system.
(14) Remove the hand pump lever 3270GM from the hand pump 1009GM. Then put the hand pump lever in position on the service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(15) If you filled the hydraulic reservoir after:
5. Close-up(1) Remove the hand pump lever 3270GM from the service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(2) On the service panel of the Green hydraulic system, connect the hand pump lever 3270GM to the shaft of the hand pump 1009GM.
(3) Remove the flexible hose 1699GM from the service panel compartment of the Green hydraulic system.
(4) Remove the blanking cap and connect the flexible hose to the fill valve 1698GM. Put the other end in the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT with the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
NOTE: Do not use the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) for outside air temperature on ground below -40 deg.C (-40 deg.F).
NOTE: It is not permitted to use high-density fluid Skydrol 500B-4 for A320NEO family.
(5) Turn the selector 1134GQ to the position that is correct for the system you will fill. (6) Make sure that on the quantity indicator 1834GQ the colored light of the related system comes on.
(7) Get the reservoir temperature using one of the methods:
(a) Read out reservoir temperature through ACMS RTM (Real Time Monitoring) and use the related AIDS label call-up:
1 For the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system - 029/1/172/01/08,
2 For the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system - 029/1/172/10/08,
3 For the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system - 029/1/172/11/08.
Refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-008) to get access to the parameter call-up menus.
(b) As an alternative to previous method, use the THERMOMETER-INFRARED to record the hydraulic fluid temperature.
NOTE: Measure the temperature on the lower part of the reservoir in the range of the fluid level.
(c) As different alternative use the OAT (Outside Air Temperature), if the aircraft was parked for last 3h before servicing.(8) Fill the hydraulic reservoir:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT PUT TOO MUCH FLUID IN THE RESERVOIR. IF THE RESERVOIR IS TOO FULL, YOU CANNOT PRESSURIZE IT SUFFICIENTLY. LOW AIR PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE MESSAGE "RSVR LO AIR PR" TO SHOW IN FLIGHT ON THE UPPER AND LOWER ECAM DISPLAY UNITS.
(a) Operate the hand pump 1009GM. (b) Monitor the increase of the fluid level of the related system on the quantity indicator and do these steps:
1 Stop the flow of the hydraulic fluid when the pointer is almost to the fill level given in the table 2 (HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR FILLING CAPACITIES).
2 Slowly continue to fill again, until the pointer shows almost to the fill level given in the table 2 (HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR FILLING CAPACITIES).
NOTE: Each open MLG door decreases the volume in the green reservoir by 0.25 l (0.0660 USgal).
NOTE: Each open cargo door decreases the volume in the yellow reservoir by 0.2 l (0.0528 USgal).
NOTE: After servicing of the reservoir with the temperature adjustment instruction, the cockpit reservoir filling level is permitted to be above the normal filling range, if the reservoir gauge on the ground service panel is in permitted range.
NOTE: The temperature of the hydraulic fluid can change when you use different method of measurement. The differences agree with the tolerance.

- The cockpit reservoir full level is permitted to be above the normal full limit, if the reservoir level has been adjusted before or the reservoir gauge on the ground service panel is according to the table 2 (HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR FILLING CAPACITIES).
- For the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-680-001).
- For the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-680-002).
- For the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-680-003).
(11) Make sure that the colored light on the quantity indicator 1834GQ goes off.
(12) Remove the flexible hose and install the blanking cap on the pump.
(13) Put the flexible hose back in position in the service panel compartment of the Green hydraulic system.
(14) Remove the hand pump lever 3270GM from the hand pump 1009GM. Then put the hand pump lever in position on the service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(15) If you filled the hydraulic reservoir after:
- Maintenance
- Removal/installation of hydraulic components
- Hydraulic fluid low level (loss of the hydraulic system)
- High loss of hydraulic fluid:
- For the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-003)
- For the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-007)
- For the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-008) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-009).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access panels 197CB 198CB and if necessary 197EB.

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.

(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
