B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the replaced component is correctly installed.
   (3) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is pressurized. If necessary pressurize it (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-00-00-870-065-A
A. Bleeding Procedure of the Blue Hydraulic System Downstream of the Blue E-Pump
NOTE: Do the bleeding procedure in the sequence that follows, to make sure that no air stays in the hydraulic system.
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system with the Blue E-pump (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
   (4) Operate the flight controls.
NOTE: When you operate the flight controls, you must monitor the ECAM display and read the level of the reservoir. If the fluid level becomes low, add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
     (a) Make sure that the slat flap control lever on the center pedestal is in the 0 position.
     (b) Make sure that the speed-brake control lever on the center pedestal is in the RET position.
     (c) Make sure that the two side stick controllers are in the neutral position and there is no priority on them.
     (d) Extend and retract the spoilers (Ref. AMM TASK 27-64-00-710-001). Do this procedure two times.
NOTE: You must operate only the spoilers and ignore the specific test procedure of the system that is shown in the related task.
     (e) Move one of the two side stick controllers to the left then to the right, and back to the neutral position to operate the ailerons. Do this procedure two times.
     (f) Extend and retract the slats (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-004) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005). Do this procedure two times.
     (g) Operate the flap wing tip brake (Ref. AMM TASK 27-51-00-710-001). Do this procedure two times.
NOTE: You must operate only the flap wing tip brake and ignore the specific test procedure of the system that is shown in the related task.
     (h) Operate the slat wing tip brake (Ref. AMM TASK 27-81-00-710-001). Do this procedure two times.
NOTE: You must operate only the slat wing tip brake and ignore the specific test procedure of the system that is shown in the related task.
   (5) Operate the CSM/G.
NOTE: When you operate the Constant Speed Motor/Generator (CSM/G), you must monitor the fluid level in the Blue reservoir. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
     (a) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system with the Blue E-pump, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
NOTE: You must do this procedure three times. If you hear unusual noise or vibrations during this time, do the procedure again.
NOTE: You can ignore the warning indications during the operation of the CSM/G.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the overhead panel 21VU:
  • Open the guard, press and hold P/BSW EMER GEN TEST 23XE.
On the lower ECAM display unit:
  • The ELEC page comes into view automatically
  • The green lines between the AC1 and the AC ESS busbar and the DC1 and the DC ESS busbar go out of view
  • The EMER GEN and ESS TR indications are shown in white. The parameters are shown in green
  • Green lines come on between:
    EMER GEN and AC ESS
    EMER GEN and ESS TR
ESS TR and DC ESS indications
  • The SHED indication comes into view below the AC ESS and DC ESS busbar indications.
NOTE: If the essential TR is not in line:
  • Its related parameters are shown in amber
  • The green line between the ESS TR and the DC ESS busbar is not shown. During the CSM/G test (when the CSM/G is in operation), push the TR RESET P/BSW (15PU) on the panel 103VU to reset the essential TR.
2.On the overhead panel 21VU:
  • Release the P/BSW EMER GEN TEST.
On the overhead panel 21VU:
  • Make sure that the safety guard is back in place.

On the lower ECAM display unit:
  • The Blue electrical hydraulic pump stops and the generator is disconnected from its network automatically
  • All indications are cancelled
  • The ELEC page goes off.
   (6) Operate the flight controls:
     (a) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system with the Blue E-pump, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
     (b) Push the left rudder pedal (on one of the two rudder pedal pairs) then the right rudder pedal forward to operate the rudder. Put the rudder back to the neutral position. Do this procedure two times.
     (c) Pull and push the side stick controller to operate the elevators. Put the side stick controller in the neutral position. Do this procedure two times.
   (7) Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
   (8) Wait approximately 5 minutes before you continue, to let the system become stable.
   (9) Do a check of the fluid level in the Blue reservoir. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
   (10) Do the procedure steps (1) thru (9) again, two more times.
