   (23) Do the check for air in the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-210-001):
     (a) If the check for air is not in the given limits, do the bleeding procedure again.
NOTE: It is not permitted to do the bleeding procedure do more than two times.
     (b) If the result is not satisfactory after two bleeding cycles, you must:
Subtask 29-00-00-870-063-I ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Bleeding Procedure of the Yellow Hydraulic System Downstream of the Engine Pump
NOTE: The procedure is necessary after:
  • Removal/installation of large hydraulic components.
  • Hydraulic fluid low level in the Yellow hydraulic system (loss of the hydraulic system).
  • High loss of hydraulic fluid.
   (1) Do the bleeding procedure of the Yellow hydraulic system upstream of the engine pump (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-004).
   (2) Do the bleeding procedure of the Yellow hydraulic system upstream of the PTU (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-005).
NOTE: When you operate the hydraulic components it is necessary to:
  • Look at the ECAM display between the procedures.
  • Do a level check of the reservoir.
  • Add fluid as necessary.
   (3) Make sure that the slat flap-control lever on the center pedestal is in the 0 position.
   (4) Make sure that the speed-brake control lever on the center pedestal is in the RET position.
   (5) Make sure that the two side-stick controllers are in the neutral position and that there is no priority on them.
   (6) Do an automatic start of engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-823) or do the dry motoring of engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-720-809).
NOTE: During the dry motoring, it is necessary to obey the starter limits.
   (7) Make sure that the pressure in the Yellow hydraulic system is 3000 psi (206.8427 bar).
   (8) Extend and retract the spoilers (Ref. AMM TASK 27-64-00-710-001).
NOTE: Only the operation of the spoilers is necessary. You can ignore the specific test procedure of the system which is given in the related task.
   (9) Move one of the two side-stick controllers to the left and then to the right position. Do this not less than five times to operate the ailerons.
   (10) Pull and push the side-stick controller not less than five times to operate the elevators.
   (11) Put the side stick controller in the neutral position.
   (12) Push the left rudder pedal (on one of the two rudder pedal pairs) and then the right rudder pedal fully forward. Do this not less than five times to operate the rudder.
   (13) Put the rudder pedals in the neutral position.
   (14) Turn the pitch-trim control wheel to the nose-down and then to the nose-up position. This is to operate the trimmable horizontal stabilizer.
   (15) Turn the pitch-trim control wheel to the 0 position.
   (16) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
   (17) Retract the flaps to the 0 position (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
   (18) Operate the nose wheel steering not less than five times.
   (19) Stop the engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-814) or stop the dry motoring of the engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-720-809) .
   (20) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system with the electric pump (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
   (21) Do the bleeding procedure of the cargo-door hydraulic-system (Ref. AMM TASK 52-36-00-600-001).
   (22) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
   (23) Do the check for air in the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-210-001):
     (a) If the check for air is not in the given limits, do the bleeding procedure again.
NOTE: It is not permitted to do the bleeding procedure more than two times.
     (b) If the result is not satisfactory after two bleeding cycles you must:
5. Close-up
Subtask 29-00-00-860-070-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
   (2) Make sure that the air pressure in the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is not less than 50 psi (3.4474 bar). If necessary pressurize the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
