Thrust Reverser Cycling Test (Menu Mode) [CFML]
TASK 73-29-00-740-804-A
Thrust Reverser Cycling Test (Menu Mode)
During this test, hydraulic pressure must be available to be supplied to the thrust reverser system, as the thrust reverser will deploy and stow by moving the throttle in the reverse and forward regions under controlled conditions. Thrust reverser position switch faults, isolation valve and directional valve solenoid electrical checks, aircraft inhibition switch failures and the isolation valve position faults will be announced if detected. Only thrust reverser system detected faults will be announced during the test, the general FADEC test may be selected to determine if any other faults are present.

Thrust Reverser Cycling Test (Menu Mode)
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT:
- THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE THRUST REVERSERS OF ENGINE 1 (2) ARE CLEAR OF ALL TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND PERSONS
- THE THRUST REVERSER COWLS ARE CLOSED AND LATCHED
- THE THROTTLE CONTROL LEVER OF ENGINE 1 (2) IS IN THE IDLE POSITION (ZERO ON THE SCALE).
ZONE: 400
1. Reason for the JobDuring this test, hydraulic pressure must be available to be supplied to the thrust reverser system, as the thrust reverser will deploy and stow by moving the throttle in the reverse and forward regions under controlled conditions.
NOTE: It takes the physical thrust reverser system approximately 1.5 seconds to deploy fully from stowed, or to stow from fully deployed.

(1) On ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG MASTER switch 1(2) is set to OFF.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MODE rotary selector-switch is set to NORM.
(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Release the FADEC GND PWR1(2) pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch comes on.
Subtask 73-29-00-863-050-A (1) On ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG MASTER switch 1(2) is set to OFF.

(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Release the FADEC GND PWR1(2) pushbutton switch. The ON legend of this pushbutton switch comes on.
NOTE: After the FADEC is energized, wait ten seconds before you start the test. If you do not wait ten seconds, the interactive mode stops the EEC self-test and this can cause spurious faults.
(3) On the left or right MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/ENG page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-012). D. Pressurize the Hydraulic System
(1) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

CAUTION:
BEFORE YOU START THE TEST, MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER COWLS ARE FULLY CLOSED. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WILL OCCUR.
CAUTION:
STOW THE THRUST REVERSER A MAXIMUM OF 40 SECONDS AFTER YOU FULLY DEPLOY IT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS TIME LIMIT, THE TEST WILL ABORT AND IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO STOW THE THRUST REVERSER MANUALLY.
A. Thrust Reverser Cycle Test (Menu Mode) NOTE: : The EEC will not enter the menu mode (interactive mode) after an enquire command from the CFDS (Centralized Fault Display System) when any of the following conditions are set:
- N2 more than ten percent or invalid
- Engine not off
- Engine not in default start state
- TLA (Throttle Lever Angle) not at idle or invalid
- Aircraft in the air
- MASTER lever ON or invalid
- BITE command code input label invalid.
NOTE: : The EEC will abort a running test or special function when any of the following conditions becomes set:
(1) Do the test. - N2 more than ten percent or invalid
- Engine state not off.
- Engine not in default start state
- Aircraft in the air
- MASTER lever ON or invalid
- You enter in the interactive mode of the other channel
- 40 seconds timer has elapsed after deploy or stow instruction screen is displayed.
