B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC system 1(2).
(3) On FLAPS panel 114VU:
(a) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is in position on the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

A. Installation of the Engine Fire-Extinguishing Pipe (Center Part)
(2) Put the pipe (2) in the pylon and in the correct position.
(3) Install the pipe (2) on the pipe (25). Do not torque the nut (24) at this time.
(4) Install the elbow (3) on the interface (23).
(5) Install the clamp (27) with the pipe (2) on the bracket (26).
(6) Install the washer (28) and bolt (29) on the clamp (27).
(7) Tighten the bolt (29).
(8) TORQUE the nut (24) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )

(a) Put a red line between the nut (24) and the pipe (25) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 26-21-49-420-063-A NOTE: You must install the center part of the engine fire-extinguishing pipe before you install the aft part of the engine fire-extinguishing pipe.
NOTE: Use a second wrench to hold the union when you disconnect/connect the two pipes.
(1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.(2) Put the pipe (2) in the pylon and in the correct position.
(3) Install the pipe (2) on the pipe (25). Do not torque the nut (24) at this time.
(4) Install the elbow (3) on the interface (23).
(5) Install the clamp (27) with the pipe (2) on the bracket (26).
(6) Install the washer (28) and bolt (29) on the clamp (27).
(7) Tighten the bolt (29).
(8) TORQUE the nut (24) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )
. (a) Put a red line between the nut (24) and the pipe (25) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
B. Installation of the Engine Fire-Extinguisher Pipe (Aft Part)
(1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Clean the mating surface of the elbow (18) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(3) Put the pipe (1) in the pylon and in the correct position.
(4) Install the pipe (1) on the pipe (2). Do not torque the nut (4) at this time.
(5) Install the three washers (5) and bolts (6). Do not torque the three bolts (6) at this time.
(6) Install the bracket (8):
(a) Install the bracket (8) between the welded bracket (7) and the bracket (11).
(b) Install the two washers (12) and bolts (13). Do not torque the two bolts (13) at this time.
(c) Install the two washers (9) and bolts (10). Do not torque the two bolts (10) at this time.
(7) Apply a layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the mating surface of the elbow (18).
(8) Install the pipe (1) on the pipe (22).
(9) Install the three washers (20) and bolts (21). Do not torque the three bolts (21) at this time.
(10) Do an electrical bonding of the elbow (18) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(11) TORQUE the nut (4) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )

(12) TORQUE the nut (19) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft )

(b) Apply a layer of Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) on the edge of surface and the clip nuts of the elbow (18).
(13) Tighten the two bolts (10) and (13).
(a) Put a red line on the two bolts (10) and (13) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(14) Tighten the three bolts (6).
(a) Put a red line on the bolts (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(b) Apply a layer of Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) on the edge of surface and the clip nuts of the elbow (3).
(15) Tighten the three bolts (21).
(a) Put a red line on the bolts (21) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(16) Install the two clamps (15) on the brackets (14).
(a) Install the four washers (16) and bolts (17) on the two clamps (15).
(b) Tighten the four bolts (17).

(14) Tighten the three bolts (6).

(b) Apply a layer of Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) on the edge of surface and the clip nuts of the elbow (3).
(15) Tighten the three bolts (21).
(a) Put a red line on the bolts (21) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(16) Install the two clamps (15) on the brackets (14).
(a) Install the four washers (16) and bolts (17) on the two clamps (15).
(b) Tighten the four bolts (17).
C. Test
(1) Do a check of the engine fire-extinguishing distribution-piping for leakage and obstruction (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-00-720-803).

D. Installation of the Components
(1) Install the thermal blanket (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-61-400-802).
(2) If removed:
(a) Install the bracket (34).
1 Install the bracket (34) on the support (35).
2 Install the two bolts (36) and nuts (39) and tighten them.
3 Install the two bolts (37) and nuts (48) and tighten them.
4 Install the clamp (33) with the duct (30) on the bracket (35).
5 Install the two washers (32) and bolts (31) on the clamp (30) and tighten the bolts (31).
(b) Install the bracket (46).
1 Install the bracket (46) on the support (45).
2 Install the three bolts (50) and nuts (47) and tighten them.
3 Install the three bolts (49) and nuts (48) and tighten them.
4 Engage the cable (40) in the two clamps (43).
5 Install the two clamps (43) on the support (44).
6 Install the two washers (42) and bolts (41) and tighten them.
(c) Install the bracket (52).
1 Install the bracket (52) on the support (51).
2 Install the four bolts (54) and nuts (53) and tighten them.
(4) Install the two engine fire-extinguisher bottles (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-400-001).

- Install the pylon engine-fuel feed-pipe and/or the fuel drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 28-20-00-400-803).

1 Install the bracket (34) on the support (35).
2 Install the two bolts (36) and nuts (39) and tighten them.
3 Install the two bolts (37) and nuts (48) and tighten them.
4 Install the clamp (33) with the duct (30) on the bracket (35).
5 Install the two washers (32) and bolts (31) on the clamp (30) and tighten the bolts (31).
(b) Install the bracket (46).
1 Install the bracket (46) on the support (45).
2 Install the three bolts (50) and nuts (47) and tighten them.
3 Install the three bolts (49) and nuts (48) and tighten them.
4 Engage the cable (40) in the two clamps (43).
5 Install the two clamps (43) on the support (44).
6 Install the two washers (42) and bolts (41) and tighten them.
(c) Install the bracket (52).
1 Install the bracket (52) on the support (51).
2 Install the four bolts (54) and nuts (53) and tighten them.
(4) Install the two engine fire-extinguisher bottles (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-400-001).
E. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
