WARNING:
BEFORE YOU OPEN PHC CIRCUIT BREAKERS 2DA1(2,3), OPEN PROBE HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 1DA1(2), 3DA1(2,3), 4DA1(2,3) AND 5DA1(2,3). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
- THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
- THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) Make sure that the ON legend on the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off, and put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to use it.
(4) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (on legend OFF) and put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to use it.
(6) Obey the safety procedure of the hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
Subtask 28-16-00-860-052-A (1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) Make sure that the ON legend on the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off, and put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to use it.
(4) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (on legend OFF) and put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to use it.
WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(5) Obey the fuel safety procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001). (6) Obey the safety procedure of the hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Defuel the applicable aircraft wing-tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3) Depressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(4) Depressurize the hydraulic reservoirs (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
Subtask 28-16-00-865-059-A (1) Defuel the applicable aircraft wing-tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2) Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. AMM TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
(3) Depressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems

(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:

4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
- For the left pylon at zone 410
- For the right pylon at zone 420.
(a) For the left pylon:
- 471BL, 415AR, 415AL, 451DL, 451EL and 415BL (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-802) (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-804).
(3) Open the thrust reverser cowl-doors: (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802)

A. Removal of the Fuel Recirculation Pipe
(1) To remove the pipe assembly (5), do the steps that follow:
(b) Remove the bolts (39), the washers (38) and the plates (36) that attach the pipe assembly (5) to the check valve (35).
(c) Remove and discard the seal (37).
(d) Remove the bolt (7) and the washer (6).
(e) Remove the bolt (14) and the washer (15).
(f) Remove the bolt (10) and the washer (9) to disconnect the bonding lead (8).
(g) Hold and carefully disconnect the pipe assembly (5) from the pipe assembly (13).
(h) Remove the bolts (32) and the washers (33) from the clamp (34).
(i) Remove the pipe assembly (5) from the clamp (34).
(j) Remove the bush (31) from the clamp (34).
(k) Remove the nut (4), the bolt (2) and the washer (3) to disconnect the bonding lead (1) from the clamp (18).
(l) Remove the clamp (18).
(m) Carefully remove the pipe assembly (5).
(2) To remove the pipe assembly (13), do the steps that follow:
(a) Remove the bolts (12) and the washers (11).
(b) Remove the bolt (27) and the washer (26).
(c) Remove the bolt (21) and the washer (22).
(d) Remove the nuts (23) and the bolts (20).
(e) Remove the angle (19) from the cleat-half (25).
(f) Remove the inserts (24) and the cleat-half (25).
(g) Remove the bolts (28) and the washers (29) from the clamps (30).
(h) Remove the locking pin (16) from the tube coupling nut (17).
(i) Remove the tube coupling nut (17).
(j) Remove the pipe assembly (13) from the clamps (30).
(k) Remove the bushes (31) from the clamps (30).
(l) Carefully remove the pipe assembly (13).
(3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 28-16-00-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) To remove the pipe assembly (5), do the steps that follow:
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (39). (b) Remove the bolts (39), the washers (38) and the plates (36) that attach the pipe assembly (5) to the check valve (35).
(c) Remove and discard the seal (37).
(d) Remove the bolt (7) and the washer (6).
(e) Remove the bolt (14) and the washer (15).
(f) Remove the bolt (10) and the washer (9) to disconnect the bonding lead (8).
(g) Hold and carefully disconnect the pipe assembly (5) from the pipe assembly (13).
(h) Remove the bolts (32) and the washers (33) from the clamp (34).
(i) Remove the pipe assembly (5) from the clamp (34).
(j) Remove the bush (31) from the clamp (34).
(k) Remove the nut (4), the bolt (2) and the washer (3) to disconnect the bonding lead (1) from the clamp (18).
(l) Remove the clamp (18).
(m) Carefully remove the pipe assembly (5).
(2) To remove the pipe assembly (13), do the steps that follow:
(a) Remove the bolts (12) and the washers (11).
(b) Remove the bolt (27) and the washer (26).
(c) Remove the bolt (21) and the washer (22).
(d) Remove the nuts (23) and the bolts (20).
(e) Remove the angle (19) from the cleat-half (25).
(f) Remove the inserts (24) and the cleat-half (25).
(g) Remove the bolts (28) and the washers (29) from the clamps (30).
(h) Remove the locking pin (16) from the tube coupling nut (17).
(i) Remove the tube coupling nut (17).
(j) Remove the pipe assembly (13) from the clamps (30).
(k) Remove the bushes (31) from the clamps (30).
(l) Carefully remove the pipe assembly (13).
(3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
A. Removal of the pipe assembly
(1) Do the steps that follow to remove the pipe assembly (1):
(b) Remove the bolts (10), the washers (9) and disconnect the bonding leads (8) from the pipe assembly (1).
(c) Remove the bolts (3), the washers (4) and the plates (6) that attach the pipe assembly (1) to the check valve (7).
(d) Remove and discard the seal (5).
(e) Hold and carefully disconnect the pipe assembly (1) from the pipe assembly (2).
(f) Carefully remove the pipe assembly (1).
(2) Do the steps that follow to remove the pipe assembly (2):
(a) Remove the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-000-001).
(b) Remove the ENG1 (ENG2) fan air valve-actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-54-000-802).
(c) Remove the bolts (19) and (23) and the nuts (20) and (22).
(d) Remove the bracket (21).
(e) Remove the bolts (11) and the washers (12) from the pipe assembly (2).
(f) Remove the bolts (13) and (14), the washers (15) and the clamps (16) from the pipe assembly (2).
(g) Loosen the clamp (18).
(h) Retract the shroud and carefully disconnect the pipe assembly (2) from the union (17).
(i) Carefully remove the pipe assembly (2).
(3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(1) Do the steps that follow to remove the pipe assembly (1):
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (3) and (10). (b) Remove the bolts (10), the washers (9) and disconnect the bonding leads (8) from the pipe assembly (1).
(c) Remove the bolts (3), the washers (4) and the plates (6) that attach the pipe assembly (1) to the check valve (7).
(d) Remove and discard the seal (5).
(e) Hold and carefully disconnect the pipe assembly (1) from the pipe assembly (2).
(f) Carefully remove the pipe assembly (1).
(2) Do the steps that follow to remove the pipe assembly (2):
(a) Remove the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-000-001).
(b) Remove the ENG1 (ENG2) fan air valve-actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-54-000-802).
(c) Remove the bolts (19) and (23) and the nuts (20) and (22).
(d) Remove the bracket (21).
(e) Remove the bolts (11) and the washers (12) from the pipe assembly (2).
(f) Remove the bolts (13) and (14), the washers (15) and the clamps (16) from the pipe assembly (2).
(g) Loosen the clamp (18).
(h) Retract the shroud and carefully disconnect the pipe assembly (2) from the union (17).
(i) Carefully remove the pipe assembly (2).
(3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
