Subtask 54-52-11-941-065-A
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 410
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 420.
Subtask 54-52-11-040-068-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-52-11-110-056-A WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). C. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Make sure that the sealant is removed from the forward fairing structure and from the edge of the external side of access skin panels 413BL ( 424BR) and 414BR ( 423BL).
(3) If they are not sufficiently clean, clean the parts with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Subtask 54-52-11-390-051-A (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Make sure that the sealant is removed from the forward fairing structure and from the edge of the external side of access skin panels 413BL ( 424BR) and 414BR ( 423BL).
(3) If they are not sufficiently clean, clean the parts with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
D. Sealant Application
(1) Make sure that the sealant on the internal side of access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL), 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BL ( 424BR) is in correct condition at the applicable location.
(2) If it is not in correct condition:
(a) Remove the sealant from the applicable area of the internal side of access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL), 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BL ( 424BR) with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(b) Clean the applicable area of the forward fairing structure and the internal side of access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL), 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BL ( 424BR) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply two layers of Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) on the forward fairing structure at the applicable location.
(d) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet 120 degre Celsius (Material No.06ABB2) on the internal side of access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL), 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BL ( 424BR).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the sealant on the internal side of access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL), 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BL ( 424BR) is in correct condition at the applicable location.
(2) If it is not in correct condition:
(a) Remove the sealant from the applicable area of the internal side of access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL), 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BL ( 424BR) with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(b) Clean the applicable area of the forward fairing structure and the internal side of access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL), 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BL ( 424BR) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(c) Apply two layers of Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.14DBB1) on the forward fairing structure at the applicable location.
(d) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet 120 degre Celsius (Material No.06ABB2) on the internal side of access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL), 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BL ( 424BR).
Subtask 54-52-11-420-060-A
A. Installation of the Access Skin Panels
(2) Install the screws (1) and tighten them.
(3) When you install the screws (1), do the electrical bonding at the applicable location (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(4) Put and hold the access skin panel (6) in position.
(5) Install the screws (7) and tighten them.
(6) When you install the screws (7), do the electrical bonding at the applicable location (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(7) Put and hold the access skin panel (8) in position.
(8) Install the screws (9) and tighten them.
(9) When you install the screws (9), do the electrical bonding at the applicable location (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 54-52-11-820-050-A NOTE: The procedure is the same for all the access skin panels:
(1) Put and hold the access skin panels (2), (3), (4), (5), (10) and (11) in position. (2) Install the screws (1) and tighten them.
(3) When you install the screws (1), do the electrical bonding at the applicable location (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(4) Put and hold the access skin panel (6) in position.
(5) Install the screws (7) and tighten them.
(6) When you install the screws (7), do the electrical bonding at the applicable location (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(7) Put and hold the access skin panel (8) in position.
(8) Install the screws (9) and tighten them.
(9) When you install the screws (9), do the electrical bonding at the applicable location (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
B. Check of the Clearances
(1) Make sure that peripheral clearance J1 between access skin panels 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BT ( 423BT) is 4 +2 mm or -2 mm (0.1575 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.).
(3) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A1 between access skin panel 413BL ( 424BR) and the Forward Secondary Structure (FSS) - Rear Mount Fairing (RMF) junction angle is 0 +0.3 mm or -0.9 mm (0.0000 +0.0118 in. or -0.0354 in.).
(4) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A2 between access skin panels 413BL ( 424BR) and 413AL ( 423AL) is 0 +0.3 mm or -0.9 mm (0.0000 +0.0118 in. or -0.0354 in.).
(5) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A3 between access skin panels 413CT ( 423CT) and 413DT ( 423DT) is 0 +1.15 mm or -0.55 mm (0.0000 +0.0453 in. or -0.0217 in.).
(6) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A4 between access skin panels 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BT ( 423BT)is 0 +0.6 mm or -0.6 mm (0.0000 +0.0236 in. or -0.0236 in.).
5. Close-up(1) Make sure that peripheral clearance J1 between access skin panels 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BT ( 423BT) is 4 +2 mm or -2 mm (0.1575 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.).
NOTE: The peripheral clearance between access skin panels 414AR ( 424AR) and 413BT ( 423BT) is same as peripheral clearance J1.
(2) Make sure that peripheral clearance J2 between access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL) and 413AT ( 423AT) is 4 +2 mm or -2 mm (0.1575 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.). (3) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A1 between access skin panel 413BL ( 424BR) and the Forward Secondary Structure (FSS) - Rear Mount Fairing (RMF) junction angle is 0 +0.3 mm or -0.9 mm (0.0000 +0.0118 in. or -0.0354 in.).
(4) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A2 between access skin panels 413BL ( 424BR) and 413AL ( 423AL) is 0 +0.3 mm or -0.9 mm (0.0000 +0.0118 in. or -0.0354 in.).
(5) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A3 between access skin panels 413CT ( 423CT) and 413DT ( 423DT) is 0 +1.15 mm or -0.55 mm (0.0000 +0.0453 in. or -0.0217 in.).
(6) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A4 between access skin panels 413AL ( 423AL) and 413BT ( 423BT)is 0 +0.6 mm or -0.6 mm (0.0000 +0.0236 in. or -0.0236 in.).
NOTE: The out-of-flush dimension between access skin panels 414AR ( 424AR) and 413BT ( 423BT) is same as out-of-flush dimension A4.
(7) Make sure that out-of-flush dimension A5 between access skin panels 411AL ( 421AL) and 413AT ( 423AT) is 0 +0.5 mm or -0.9 mm (0.0000 +0.0197 in. or -0.0354 in.). Subtask 54-52-11-390-050-A
A. Sealant Application
(1) Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to clean the area between:
(a) Access skin panels 413BL ( 424BR) and 413CL (424CR)
(b) Access skin panels 414BR ( 423BL) and 472AR (481AL).
(2) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet 120 degre Celsius (Material No.06ABB2) at the applicable location between:
(a) Access skin panels 413BL ( 424BR) and 413CL (424CR)
(b) Access skin panels 414BR ( 423BL) and 472AR (481AL).
Subtask 54-52-11-440-056-A (1) Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) to clean the area between:
(a) Access skin panels 413BL ( 424BR) and 413CL (424CR)
(b) Access skin panels 414BR ( 423BL) and 472AR (481AL).
(2) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Fillet 120 degre Celsius (Material No.06ABB2) at the applicable location between:
(a) Access skin panels 413BL ( 424BR) and 413CL (424CR)
(b) Access skin panels 414BR ( 423BL) and 472AR (481AL).
B. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser
(1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-807).

C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
